It's October and the trick or treaters will be knocking on your door before you know it. Here at the HazzardNet, we've been blessed since mid July with a guy who has treated us with over 460 posts that have delighted us all.....and that's why HossC has been selected as October's fan of the month. Harry, our fan of the month for February 2009, is fighting cancer. The doctors have said that there's nothing more they can do for him, but Harry's not giving up. We've started this thread so folks can offer well-wishes, words of encouragement, thoughts and prayers for him. Val is our April 2012 Fan of the Month! Val's recognition is long overdue, as she joined us way back in 2004. Val is a longtime fan of Enos - hence her handle - and she was a fanfic writer and all-around goofball here on HazzardNet for many years. Now, I know Val personally so I'll explain why I put some of this in the past tense. Yes, the October 2011 Fan o' the Month is i1976!! i1976 is a reknown Enos and Daisy fan who joined HazzardNet back in February of 2007! With over 600 posts to our Forums, and with contributions of artwork to our Image Gallery and stories to our Fanfiction sections, i1976 is a creative Dukes of Hazzard fan who certainly deserves recognition! i1976 has always been friendly and encouraging to other members of HazzardNet and sets a great example for Dukes fans everywhere. June is here and that means things are heating up. Last summer things really warmed up around here when texasdaisy09 joined us on the HazzardNet and now she's as hot as a Hazzard campfire as this summer's first Fan of the Month. Congrats go to Carlos-Argentino, our Fan of the Month for August 2012! Carlos-Argentino joined us in December of 2010, and if you don't already know, he hails from Argentina! The language barrier has never stopped him from participating in the Forums. He is friendly, outgoing, and always quick to welcome new members to HazzardNet! Carlos-Argentino is fine example of a good Hazzard County neighbor and HazzardNet member. Since joining in April 2013, Roth_Potter has contributed over 500 posts full of Dukes of Hazzard goodness, most notably the Rare and Behind the Scenes Pictures thread, which has quickly joined the ranks as one of the best threads on HazzardNet. Long overdue for recognition is somebody who has been a part of HazzardNet since 2004. He's also a member of the CGLFC and has been an active voice among Dukes fans for many years. This longtime Dukes fan is a friend to many. He's also never afraid to speak his mind. Yet he always conducts himself with honor even if discussions and opinions get a little hot. Howdy there - I'm considering a few changes to how we select our Fan of the Month, in order to be fair to the growing audience we have. I've yet to discuss this with Mufn or MaryAnne so nothing is written in stone. Originally, our Fan of the Month was selected based on Forums participation (constructive) and/or material contributions to content, consisting of photos, info, fanfic, what have ya. We sometimes take tenure into consideration, as we've had some members with us since darn near the beginning. It's August already! This summer's flying faster than the General Lee rushing down Mill Post Road trying to get the mortgage money to Boss so the boys can save the Duke farm. Sure enough, Boss ran some scam again to make the payment late but that doesn't mean all Hoggs are bad. She has been here in town for 3 and a half years and has been a fan of the show for over two decades. You can travel on just about any street here on the HN and you'll discover some sign that B.L. has already been there. Long overdue for recognition is TimDuke, who joined HazzardNet in Oct 2001. TimDuke is also a longstanding member of the CGLFC. TimDuke is a man of few words, but of deep sincerity; if he has something to say, he says what he means. He is also passionate about the General Lee and is among the lucky few to own one. Another month over, another fan of the month goes into the history book. Today doesn't just start a new month. It starts a new year. It also starts a new decade. It's November and it's cooling off outside but things are always warm and cozy on the HazzardNet with nice folks like Lori Davenport hanging out here and that's one reason she has been selected as HazzardNet's Fan of the Month. Lori is pretty famous around here. She's somewhat of a celebrity since she really is from Hazard. We don't mind that her hometown of Hazard Kentucky forgot to add the other Z. Because of her pure love and devotion to the greatest television show in history, we are awarding her HazzardNet's fan of the month for December. HazzardNet's Fan of the Month for August 2011 is CDoherty95! Congrats! There were several good contestants for this month. CDoherty95 was selected due to his perseverance in re-building another "General Lee" bicycle after his original creation was stolen. This shows great dedication to his love of "The Dukes of Hazzard" as well as strong personal character in not giving up. CDoherty95 is also an active participant in our Forums and has generated good discussions. We're pleased to recognize him as the Fan of the Month for his contributions to the Dukes of Hazzard fandom. It's been awhile since the HazzardNet has had a Fan of the Month who doesn't post on a regular basis but Ray Kohn of Northeast Ohio Dukes sure deserves the honor and that's exactly what he's getting for the month of September. We'll soon start to see the temperatures cool off after Labor Day passes but Ray's love of the Dukes of Hazzard will always be as hot as the General Lee's exhaust pipes. In fact, he's going to be taking his love of the show to a high level to start the month off....literally.
