Fan of the Month

Dukes of Hazzard fans are the best and we like to celebrate them! Post messages and congratulations about the fan of the month!

  1. Started by Meadowmufn,

If you would like to nominate someone for HazzardNet Fan of the Month, please send a PM to me with the member's username and why you think they should be nominated. Feel free to include links to some of their posts, too. Congrats to all winners, past, present, and future. You're helping keep the spirit of the Dukes alive for future generations!

It's October and the trick or treaters will be knocking on your door before you know it. Here at the HazzardNet, we've been blessed since mid July with a guy who has treated us with over 460 posts that have delighted us all.....and that's why HossC has been selected as October's fan of the month. On the "Introduce Yourself" thread Hoss describes himself as an Englishman who has been living in Ireland for 7 years. While he may live in Ireland, his heart's in Hazzard County. Hoss has been a Dukes fan ever since the original series was being aired. At age 12 (1983) he vistited Richmond Virginia and was thrilled to see a General Lee traveling down the freeway. That event was…

Folks, I heard from Harry tonight. He's in the hospital. He's had a heart attack. They don't know how bad it is yet, but will send updates as he's able. Please keep Harry in your thoughts and prayers. Hang in there, Harry!

The Fan of the Month for July and August was well-chosen and could not have gone to a nicer person. You truly embrace what the Dukes are all about and I am proud to call you a friend! Congrats on being the Fan of the Month-Uncle Jesse would be proud.

  5. Harry, our fan of the month for February 2009, is fighting cancer. The doctors have said that there's nothing more they can do for him, but Harry's not giving up. We've started this thread so folks can offer well-wishes, words of encouragement, thoughts and prayers for him. If you'd like to send him an email directly, please PM or email any of the moderators and we'll send you his email address. We're rooting for you, Harry! You're in our thoughts and prayers every day. You can read more about Harry by clicking here. Edited to add: Harry has signed up as dipstickdeputy1stclass. Feel free to send him some PMs!

Congratulations to October's Fan of the Month, B.L. Davenport. B.L. is certainly one of the most high profile members on the HazzardNet. She has been here in town for 3 and a half years and has been a fan of the show for over two decades. You can travel on just about any street here on the HN and you'll discover some sign that B.L. has already been there. She has posted her wisdom on nearly every thread imaginable and the HN is a better place because of it. All tolled, B.L. is approaching the 3,000 post mark, averaging nearly 1,000 per year. B.L. has been a regular on the trivia threads as long have they have existed and can often be found in the chat room with one or m…

Congratulations to daisyxenos for being selected as the Fan of the Month for November 2009!! It's pretty impressive that someone can receive this honor after only being a member of the HazzardNet for 15 months but daisyxenos is an impressive fan. She's certainly put up some impressive numbers. At the time of the posting of this award, she has typed a HazzardNet record nearly 30,000 posts. Granted, not all of those posts have been in-depth essays but the numbers are staggering. Some days here on the HazzardNet are busier than others but one thing we can always count on is daisyxenos's consistency. Her dedication to this website is legendary and her love of The Dukes of Ha…

June is here and that means things are heating up. Last summer things really warmed up around here when texasdaisy09 joined us on the HazzardNet and now she's as hot as a Hazzard campfire as this summer's first Fan of the Month. We see folks come and go here on the greatest website on the internet but texasdaisy09 is most definitely here for the long haul. She's been around less than a year but has already established herself as one of the rocks that make up the foundation of the HazzardNet. She logs in faithfully every day and can be found on a variety of threads blessing us with nearly 500 posts in less than a year. She loves everything about the HazzardNet, especial…

  9. Yes, the October 2011 Fan o' the Month is i1976!! i1976 is a reknown Enos and Daisy fan who joined HazzardNet back in February of 2007! With over 600 posts to our Forums, and with contributions of artwork to our Image Gallery and stories to our Fanfiction sections, i1976 is a creative Dukes of Hazzard fan who certainly deserves recognition! i1976 has always been friendly and encouraging to other members of HazzardNet and sets a great example for Dukes fans everywhere. Join us in congratulating her!

  10. Long overdue for recognition is somebody who has been a part of HazzardNet since 2004. He's also a member of the CGLFC and has been an active voice among Dukes fans for many years. This longtime Dukes fan is a friend to many. He's also never afraid to speak his mind. Yet he always conducts himself with honor even if discussions and opinions get a little hot. I chose this photo in recognition of our Fan of the Month because it speaks to the same values that Capt Redneck has always shown. He's hard-working and self-sufficient. He can take care of himself, but he's always ready to help a friend in need. So this scene of the Duke farm during the GA filming is appropriate; C…

  11. Since joining in April 2013, Roth_Potter has contributed over 500 posts full of Dukes of Hazzard goodness, most notably the Rare and Behind the Scenes Pictures thread, which has quickly joined the ranks as one of the best threads on HazzardNet. Let's all give Roth_Potter a round of applause and a mighty "Yeehaa!" for being named HazzardNet Fan of the Month.

It's August already! This summer's flying faster than the General Lee rushing down Mill Post Road trying to get the mortgage money to Boss so the boys can save the Duke farm. Sure enough, Boss ran some scam again to make the payment late but that doesn't mean all Hoggs are bad. In fact, August's fan of the month is one of the nicest folks on the HazzardNet and that's why Jami Lee Hogg has been selected for this month's honor. Jami's only been in our website family for a year and a half but that's more than enough time to make a big impact and make a lot of friends too. She's a loyal HazzardNet family member who logs in every day and contributes to several threads. Jami…

Val is our April 2012 Fan of the Month! Val's recognition is long overdue, as she joined us way back in 2004. Val is a longtime fan of Enos - hence her handle - and she was a fanfic writer and all-around goofball here on HazzardNet for many years. Now, I know Val personally so I'll explain why I put some of this in the past tense. Val grew up watching The Dukes of Hazzard on TNN and then CMT, and then grew up the rest of the way while hanging around the usual rowdies on HazzardNet. Somewhere in the process, she went to college and held down two jobs to pay for it. Since graduating college, Val's been working hard, and now has a solid career going. She also got married. Wi…

  14. Started by RogerDuke,

Another month over, another fan of the month goes into the history book. Today doesn't just start a new month. It starts a new year. It also starts a new decade. A new decade means 120 more fan of the month awards. In honor of a new decade...a fan who was around for most of the old one will be honored as the January Fan of the Month. That fan is Garrett Duke. Don't be fooled by the starting date on Garrett's profile (1-24-04). Garrett has been using a computer long before that to express her love of the greatest show in the history of television. Garrett began ten years ago doing fanfics under the name Kristy Duke and hasn't stopped fanficing since. She has been involv…

Join me in congratulating Mark B. for being Fan of the Month for August 2015. Along with our heartfelt thanks for his outstanding contributions to HazzardNet, he gets a nifty title to show off on the forums. You can read our post about him on the blog.

  17. Started by RogerDuke,

If there was a dictionary of Hazzard County words and you looked up the word "fanatic" there's no doubt you would find a picture of DaisyMaeDuke beside it. Because of her pure love and devotion to the greatest television show in history, we are awarding her HazzardNet's fan of the month for December. If you're not already sitting down, you'd better do it now because reading the list of Daisy's accomplishments is going to take awhile. Daisy was born at a very early age.... I apologize for the bad joke.....Well, she did become a Dukes fan at a very early age. When she was just 5 years old she got hooked on the show when it was originally being aired. Little did anyone know…

It's not possible to be a bigger fan of the Dukes of Hazzard than BoJamesDuke and that's why she is being picked as February's fan of the month. A few of us could put up a legitimate argument that we are "as big of a Dukes fan" as Bo but none of us could say we're a bigger fan. Considering how much Bo loves the Dukes, it's simply not possible. Bo just turned 21 on January 28th and resides across the Hazzard Pond over there in England. She has blessed the HazzardNet with over 6,300 posts since she first logged on nearly four years ago. Bo has been a Dukes fan for 16 years, since she was 5 years old. When she was 17 she passed an English exam by doing a project based on…

March 1st is Catherine Bach's birthday. That's a big deal around the HazzardNet. While it might be Daisy Duke's day, it's pendragon1980's month because she has been selected as HazzardNet's "Fan of the Month". Pendragon has been a fan of the Dukes of Hazzard since childhood and her love of the best show on television comes through with her writings here at the best website on the internet. A veteran of many years of fanfic writing on this (and less important) sites, pendragon's character Doc Walker (AKA Dr. Chance Walker) is legendary on the HazzardNet. Pendragon loves the challenge of trying to fit the good doctor into stories where such talented writers are creatively …

There hasn't been a May fan of the month since this forum was started?

  21. Started by MaryAnne,

Since our Fan of the Month became a pretty rousing success, once we got it going on a more regular basis (you know, like monthly) we figured we'd take a chance on selecting a Fan of the Year for 2009. Trying to pick a FAN OF THE YEAR is like asking Uncle Jesse to pick his favorite ear of corn out of the 40 acres they plant. Every ear of corn the Dukes grow is a work of art so it's a nearly impossible task. Never let it be said that the HazzardNet staff shies away from the impossible. After careful consideration (and a little bit of that spiked egg-nog that was being passed around at the HazzardNet Christmas party) we have selected B.L. Davenport as 2009's HazzardNet FAN …

  22. Howdy there - I'm considering a few changes to how we select our Fan of the Month, in order to be fair to the growing audience we have. I've yet to discuss this with Mufn or MaryAnne so nothing is written in stone. Originally, our Fan of the Month was selected based on Forums participation (constructive) and/or material contributions to content, consisting of photos, info, fanfic, what have ya. We sometimes take tenure into consideration, as we've had some members with us since darn near the beginning. The HazzardNet forums will be a part of HazzardNet for as long as the main website here stands. But the trend I've been seeing is that we have Facebook users who make com…

  23. Redneck girl 01 is our Fan of the Month for September 2011! Well-deserved and long overdue, we're happy to recognize her for her contributions to HazzardNet and to the Dukes of Hazzard fandom as a whole. Please join us in congratulating her!

  24. Started by Brian Coltrane,

Congrats go to Carlos-Argentino, our Fan of the Month for August 2012! Carlos-Argentino joined us in December of 2010, and if you don't already know, he hails from Argentina! The language barrier has never stopped him from participating in the Forums. He is friendly, outgoing, and always quick to welcome new members to HazzardNet! Carlos-Argentino is fine example of a good Hazzard County neighbor and HazzardNet member. We're long overdue for recognizing our International Dukes fans, so join us in congratulating Carolos-Argentino! SAL-UTE!

  25. Started by RogerDuke,

It's November and it's cooling off outside but things are always warm and cozy on the HazzardNet with nice folks like Lori Davenport hanging out here and that's one reason she has been selected as HazzardNet's Fan of the Month. Lori is pretty famous around here. She's somewhat of a celebrity since she really is from Hazard. We don't mind that her hometown of Hazard Kentucky forgot to add the other Z. All that matters to us is that Lori loves the same favorite show we all do and, in many ways, she represents what the Dukes of Hazzard is all about. Lori joined the HazzardNet in the summer of 2007 and has blessed us with around 2,700 posts. She is 18 years old and has been a…
