Yes folks it's finally in stores! Dukes of Hazzard: Season One on DVD. I got my copy last night at my local K-mart. Since K-mart has it, I assume that your local Walmart, Target, Meijer or whatever retail chain you prefer to go to, has it for sale. I do know that K-mart had it priced at 29.99 in my area. I don't know what other chains are selling it for but that's the price I paid. I'd imagine that other stores would be in the range of a dollar to five dollars more or less. The Season one set is on two disks. Three eps. to a side of each disk. The case is very brightly colored. I haven't looked at all the features yet but I'll keep you posted on what I find. I highly rec…

From Yahoo! News - Wed, 07 Feb 2007 23:39:20 GMT By now, The Dukes of Hazzard and the orange '69 Dodge Charger called the General Lee are as much a part of American culture as hamburgers and pickup trucks. And everyone knows the theme song. More... Read the whole story at the link above and then feel free to come back here and post your comments.

Ben Jones has been in the news lately. In fact he has an editorial in today's USA Today. For those of you across the Atlantic Pond who may not know the history of the Confederate Flag here in the US, it was used by the South in the Civil War back in the mid 1860s and the South wanted to keep slaves (Although there was much more to the war than that). Most people today only view the Confederate Flag as a sign of southern culture and heritage but a few still think it symbolizes slavery and should be banned from society. Ben Jones argues that it doesn't stand for slavery anymore because symbols, words, flags, etc change their meaning sometimes. He also argues that even Geo…

In Hazzard, the more things change, the more they stay the same. This is also true at Cooter's Place in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. About a year ago, Cooter's in Gatlinburg relocated to nearby Pigeon Forge due to unforseen circumstances. The new location does not have the 'familily fun center' gocarts and indoor mini golf. However, the new store brings opportunities to build new fun experiences for Dukes fans to enjoy. In addition to easier access and expanded room for events and more cool Hazzard merchandise and collectibles, we are now buiding in the famiilar setting of the Hazzard Garage. The General Lee needs a cozy home after all! This will be just the first of m…

The DoH was never a racist show, in fact just the opposite. It was about good clean American values and poking fun at pretend bad guys, but apparently some don't see it that way. http://www.ew.com/article/2015/06/24/dukes-hazzard-general-lee-confederate-flag

This is for those who will be in or near the United Kingdom early June: It's at the MK Dons Stadium, Milton Keynes, UK. (it's at this edition of Collectormania in 2005 that I met Cathy. Apparently for 5-7 June 2009, they have Tom Wopat 8) For more info, do a Google search to collectormania . com they have the info posted on their official site. Careful: DON'T get you hope up, there's always a good chance Tom could CANCEL AGAIN... In 2005, they announced John Schneider and Cathy Bach, but then John had to cancel... Luckily Cathy was still there.

I was watching the local news tonight and got a big surprise. Before they go to the weather, my local station talks about human interest stories that are happening accross the country. When I heard them mention Conyers Georgia my ears perked up. For those of you who don't know, Conyers is one of the locations the Dukes was filmed at when the show was in its infancy during the first 5 episodes before moving to California. Anyways, a 14 month old toddler wandered into the Wells Fargo bank vault in Conyers and somehow the vault door closed. There were no adults inside and the door was on a time lock. After pumping air into the vault for the toddler to breath, eventually t…

I don't know if y'all know this, but I just found out we can go to http://www.tvland.com/awards2004/ and vote for General Lee in category #3 and John Schneider in category #24. There's also a final question in which we can write in our own category and who we think should win it.

This is a heads up for any of you who haven't seen this great site...TVShowsOnDVD.com. It provides all the latest and most accurate information for DVD releases of great television shows, including the DUKES. It's free and easy to register, so follow the links below, register, and vote for the DUKES OF HAZZARD (to show our continued support for future seasons), as well as for ENOS and the DUKES CARTOON. Maybe if they see there is an interest in the latter two, they will make their way as bonus materials onto future Season releases of the DUKES OF HAZZARD. Actual DVD companies like Warner and what not look at this site, and have had online Q & A sessions with them, an…

As posted on our Facebook page. We really hope this one ain't true, but we've had too many reports to ignore it: Warner Bros forbids flag on General Lee diecast cars effective Jan 1, 2013! This info has been reported by the diecast collector community, at sites like hobbytalk.com and Supercar Collectibles. Mopar Muscle Magazine shared the Supercar Collectibles report on their blog on July 19. We've been hoping that this was only a vile rumor, but the reports can't be ignored. We are attempting to get confirmation from Warner Bros. All we know so far is what we're picking up from the diecast crowd. Hobby Talk: http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=371387…

Tomorrow, an old interview of Waylon Jennings is going to be on NPR (National Public Radio). I think the show is going to lead with Willie Nelson though. It would be awesome if the interview took place while Dukes was being filmed. Maybe he mentioned it. If you miss it, I bet you can probably catch it on NPRs website. Just to clarify...the interview will aired September 1 at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. NPR is doing a series of old interviews from country music stars this week.

National Public Radio (NPR) is airing old interviews of country music stars this week. Tomorrow (Wed) at 3:00 Eastern Standard Time they will feature Waylon and Willie. I think they're airing the Willie interview first. It sure would be cool if the Waylon interview occured when Dukes was being filmed and he mentions our favorite show. If you miss it, it might be available on their website after Wednesday. I'm not sure though.

I seen something in the newspaper about Waylon's family releasing some of his never before heard music sometime soon. Since my computer skills are bad, maybe somebody here can find it and post a link with more information. It sure would be cool to buy Waylon's new album. It's been a long time since I've done that! Waylon lives!
