For anyone who isn't familiar with it, Sonny Shroyer was the lead actor in an independent film called "A Tale About Bootlegging". I recently purchased the DVD and since there is so little info online about it, I've put up a page with a review and screencaptures. It's a quirky, slap-stick comedy and it's well worth a watch. Ben Jones has been in the news lately. In fact he has an editorial in today's USA Today. For those of you across the Atlantic Pond who may not know the history of the Confederate Flag here in the US, it was used by the South in the Civil War back in the mid 1860s and the South wanted to keep slaves (Although there was much more to the war than that). Most people today only view the Confederate Flag as a sign of southern culture and heritage but a few still think it symbolizes slavery and should be banned from society. Rumor has it that Tom Wopat will be at Hazzard Homecoming for both days, August 11 and 12. Along with this report comes the rumor of a "stunt demonstration", but we don't know if this involves cars or bikes or what at this point. There are more Dukes shindigs going on this year than you can shake a dipstick at! We'll keep you posted as more details roll in.

This is a video I put together as a Tribute to the greatest show ever, "The Dukes of Hazzard". It includes pictures of the original main cast plus cast members that had reoccurring roles in the show while the original theme song, "Good ol Boys" by Waylon Jennings is playing through it. Got an email from cooters place and they said on there website that the gatlinburg store is closing and they are going to open it back up in pigeon forge, and the general that they have on display down ther is up for SALE 20,000 has 318 engine, not used in the shows but has been on tv.

I'm not a Dancing With the Stars fan but my wife is. I've never even heard of most of the "stars" on there. Since my wife watches it I will sit on the couch occasionally with her. Last night was the finals and one of the songs they were playing was California Girls that mentions "Daisy Dukes" shorts. They then immediately went to a commercial and the commercial after that was one of Bo and Luke's AutoTrader commercials. Hey all, Just thought I'd pass word that Karis had an apppendix attack on Saturday Night and had to have emergency surgery. She and Elly had planned on going with John this past weekend to NJ, but that is why they didn't make it. I'm sure it's all been extremely stressful for them...and for John being away from Karis like that. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers...

I have no pity for all these used to be rich stars who get into financial trouble. They are stupid!! He said he was really hurt when his studio flooded etc. I guess he never heard of insurance!!

Get ready to call him the "25 Million Dollar Sheriff." James Best is suing Time-Warner/Warner Bros over unpaid royalties. Best claims he was owed 5% of all Dukes of Hazzard merchandising revenue for stuff that contained Sheriff Rosco likeness. By his estimates/his attorney's estimates, that could have been 5 to 25 million during the Dukes heyday alone. Best has actually collected something around $175,000 for this stuff in the last 30 years.
