I read this in a uk mivie mag today.

Just saw a quick story about the movie on Entertainment tonight. Not very informatinve but showed some pretty cool shots of the General in action. Uncle Jesse apartently drives a blue mid 80's to early 90's Dodge Pick-up truck, and saw Knoxville dressed in Boss Hogg's outfit. Daisy kicks some guy in the chest at the Boars Nest, and it showed Scott filming a scene driving the General by himself. Other than that it didn't show much.

James Bond is about to be played by a 6th actor. Lots of actors have played Robin Hood and Superman and Batman and they have all done well at the box office or on tv.. It is never the same when they mess around with tv shows and books or remake films. Lets all face it they have made a new Dukes of Hazzard for the cinema. Yes they could of got a better cast for this movie,but then I am quite happy with the cast they have got if it is not the best cast. Lets all give it a go and hope it is going to be a winner. Just found out on another site that Cletus is in this movie. I looked at the cast list and it has him there forget who the actor playing him is. Is this true or not?

I haven't read all through this forum yet so I don't know if this has already been discussed... The pictures are here and here. What do you suppose the story is behind the weird "General Lee" in those pictures? The paint is a lighter orange (looks like it is supposed to be faded?), the wheels are black stamped steel, there is no push bumper, the "01" is in the "wrong" type of font and there doesn't seem to be anything painted on the roof (no flag or "General Lee" text that I can see). why don't we just boycott the movie? i know i'm not gonna go see it. it's downright shameful that they didn't get input from the original cast/crew...anyone else just doesn't work...they didn't even bother with getting people that looked like the original characters...ugh...it's just disgusting and disheartening and i refuse to go see the movie!!!!!

I watched the dukes on tv and didnt even miss one episode,i was hooked :-D.Now about this new movie well nothing will beat the original show but all i will say is this,it will be a good perv to watch daisy (jessica) .. and it would be nice to see the old general getting airborn again....(lets hope theres alot of that).
