Dukes of Hazzard Movies

I posted this comment in another thread but recently in some new model kits (daisy jeep missing dixie decal and general lee missing a confederate decal) and other events in the land of dukes merchendise i felt that this comment needed a thread of its own. *copy & Paste* Ya know guys the film makers here KNOW whats going on here. they KNOW of these mistakes. but i think it all comes down to being politically correct or some bull like that. to boot the confederate flag; thats a Very touchy subject but if you take away the flag from the roof you may as well colour the general blue! theres certian lines that really really shouldnt be crossed, and this is one of them. …

I can't find it anywhere?

In My oppinion some of the cast should be original cast members aswell as some new faces. For Instance, Tommy Lee Jones would make a bad version of Roscoe p. coltrane because he lacks the personality of the charicter but, maybe a new charicter can be created with him in the movie or he can play Uncle Jesse's charicter ? If that wont work then maybe someone like Kenny Rodgers can play Uncle Jesse's character or maybe George Carlin? Roscoe p. coltrane's character can be played by, Don Knotts or Burt Renolds. Brat Pitt would make a good Bo Duke character. Luke Duke can be played by, Ashton Kutchner. Daisy Duke's character would be better played by somebody like Jessica sim…

Will they keep Waylon's voice as the song or will they have another sing it. If that's the case I hope it's not Jessica Simpson or a cheesy band. I'm for Willie Nelson to sing it. Hell, he's in the movie and a country legend; He might as well!

Now, it comes to mind... will the new sets of "Cops N Robbers" type police pusuits live up to the original series? lets be honest guys, not many flicks (aside from gone in 60 seconds) have the best of the best chases. and the original stuntmen had it down to a damn art! the cornering, bumps, etc. think its capable to make it better or at least live up to it? im gone. -Brad

Just read on the Dukes-fest forum on this site that they have decided to shoot some new stuff for the begining of the film and have called back the cast and extras . Have a look at the post about it on the Duke-fest forum from one of the extras. Any news on this would be great?
