I'm not sure exactly what type of fics you guys are used to here, and I'm sure it's not what I write, but I wrote this short story in early August. It's an 'x reader' so instead of putting in one of my oc's, I let the reader be the main character. I like them more because it lets people feel more connected. I know x reader fics have a bit of a stigma around them, and a lot of people think they're weird so I understand if nobody likes it, but I'd still like to share it anyway in case people do like it. Past Lives aka Dukeville, is a first of its kind in crossovers that I am aware of. Actually about 99.999999% certain. What if Jonathan Kent WAS Bo Duke? As we all know John Schneider, great actor, played Bo Duke in his late teens, early Twenties, and now is currently playing Jonathan Kent on Smallville. It's an idea I had recently. Looking at my traffic stats on fanfiction. net, I was really surprised 'bout how many people keep on reading my FIRST stories, stories I wrote in 2007 (WOW, nearly 6 years ago). I wondered why and how it happens: NEW readers starting from my last story and then going back to all my previous ones 'cause the liked my last one? (GREAT) or my usual readers that, time after time, need to go back to those stories? Do usual readers miss my oldest stories 'cause they prefer them to my recent ones?.. mmmhh not so great... Okay, everybody who follows fanfic knows that I've never done it before so this might be a stupid question. I can see why people enjoy the different and creative ideas that fanfic offers but I was wondering if there are any that don't create outside characters? I can see why people like to do that but I think it would be nice to have a fanic that only permits characters that have been on the show to appear. The story could go in any direction our imagination would take us, of course, but the characters wouldn't be ficticious at all (since we all know Hazzard County is real). Any thoughts, folks? Has this been done before or is it being done now? I'm gone.
