Hi there, I'm a writer for Classic Cars magazine in England and I'm looking for information on the General Lee. We're doing a feature on the General (in anticipation of the movie) and I'd like to get in touch with anyone that can give us more information on: -The specs of the original General Lee. -Which were the best/most famous scenes in the General. -Who prepared the cars. -What was done to them. -Who owns the original General today. -Any other cool/interesting facts about the General Lee. Does anyone know why John's opening credit was changed from kissing a girl to him sneaking up on the side of a barn with what looks to be a shovel in his hands? From what I can tell; that is the only change in the opening credits throughout the run of the show (except for the addition/subtraction of Deputies Cletus and Enos). Thanks!!

Does anyone have a mailing address where a person can get autographs of James Best (Roscoe), Tom Wopat, Catherine Bach, etc. I was able to get John Schneider's autograph a coulple of years back. I also stopped by Tom Wopat's town in Lodi, WI and meet his brother and saw the farm/house that Tom grew up on. I have never gotten his autograph though. I would rather mail in for their autograph's than take a chance of paying on eBay and maybe not even have it be real. Any ideas, Thank,

Since i wass a kid i've bin a fan of everything that includes cars, Night Rider, Michael Valliant and ofcourse DOH the most of all. I was sure that when I would hit 18 (legal driving age here in Holland) i would get my drivers lincense immediately. It didn't happen as I planned becauce a few days after i turned 18 i 'had to go in to the hospital for surgery and after that I went of to college and i didn't had the money to take drivers lessons. I live in a small town and just outside of town at a farm house there is a 69 charger sitting beside a little shed, I am 23 and have been stopping out there for 9 years wanting to buy it, i have had my dad stop out back when i was 15 and getting my license, i have stopped out numerous times and have had my wife stop out and ask to buy it but they will not budge. It is just sitting there rotting away it makes me so mad to talk about it I just hope one day when I stop out that they will have a change of heart and sell it to me. Does anyone have any chargers in there hometown sitting or no of any for sale.

I saw one list that said he had a small part in smokey and the bandit but can never find him and one said he was the kid in the coors shirt the only kid in a coors shirt that i saw was when the 3 were going to strip the car and sheriff justice pulled over does anyone know if this is true or a mistake and if it is true what part is he in?

Here's a question for you folks. Whenever I watch an old TV show from the late 70s or early 80s I always feel a little nostalgic about television from that era. However, when I watch the Dukes, I don't feel nostalgic at all. Since my love of the Dukes hasn't faded since it originally aired it still feels just as new and exciting as it always did. Of course I'm 50 years old. A lot of you folks here are younger....well....maybe all you folks are younger...LOL Anyway, here's my question. When you watch the Dukes does it feel like you're watching an old show?

Hi Guys I wonder if any one seen General Lee car like on DOH series when they pass you while you drive in town or saw parking at store or house.. etc.. so post here this thread and also I remember last time around 2001 or 2002 when I drive with my friends way to my house from park area and then I almost saw shock! it was General Lee! with orange with flag on top and "01" on side look like exactly as DOH are.. WOW!!!! anyone did seen their? as pass us or saw on parking area like that.. thanks. smile.

Howdy. Well my baby brother's birthdays coming up, and even at the age of 5 he's in love with Dukes Of Hazzard (but who wouldn't be?!!). He wants to have a Dukes Of Hazzard themed sort of birthday. I was wondering if y'all had any ideas or suggestions on like decorations and all. Me and my family are all putting in some money and we have this old peddle kid race car that we're painting orange and having the 01 and the flag customized. It's gonna be pretty cute. I went to a local carnival here in northwestern Pennsylvania tonight and had my orange 01 hat on. One of the guys running the rides got a big smile on his face and pulled out his cell phone and played his General Lee horn ringer. We struck up a conversation and come to find out he logs on to the HazzardNet all the time but has never registered. He even knew yours truly and was familiar with the trivia threads. Every page I goto, it has the yellow ActiveX bar at the top. I click on it and theres not much information about it ut I click OK but it still pops up. I get it everytime. It;s only on this site. I'm using Internet Explorer. I'm gonna sign out in sign back in on Netscape. Edit: I'm using Netscape and I also get an error: "Additional plugins are requried to display all the media on this page" I click the Install Missing Pluins button but it says that "No suitable plugins were found" I'm gonna sign in on Firefox. 2nd Edit: I'm using Firefox and don't seem to have the error. Guess I should have used Firefox before.
