Hey Y'all! Okay... I need help. If there's anyone out there that is knowledgeable about vehicles, please help! Okay, I have a 1982 (I think!) Ford Bronco XLT. Right now it's in a state of slight disrepair. Basically where should I start? Last time I looked (last summer ) it did start, but I'm not sure. Its just an old farm truck, so the battery gets removed and it gets parked behind the barn for the winter. But anyways, it "clunks" when you drive it (it is a manual transmission, four wheel drive) And the liner on the ceiling is falling down. I am working on gluing it back up, or something. (I don't know how to work on cars... most I've done is add some gas/oil and pump …

Hey y'all I've decided to strip down and rebuild my daily rider to it's former glory. I got it in 2007 for my birthday, and it's the last bike that my parents bought me. However despite it being the youngest bike I have, it's in the worst condition by far. It barely ran (only in the gear ratio 1-5), the front wheel was buckled from a collision with a car last year, the gears were gone, the back brake jammed whenever I used it, someone stole the badge from the front if the bike, the front brake barely worked and the rubber on the brake was torn off in the car collision and I never got round to fixing it, the rear tire was ready to burst (it had a duct tape patch holding i…

I noticed in The Ghost of the General Lee, and I think in a few other episodes too, there is a white Chevy Impala; in The Ghost episode it's parked downtown when the General is 'driving itself'. Can anyone tell me for sure if this is a '65? It looks like a '65 four door, which is a hard to find car. My brother had a '65 Chevy Impala four door; he passed away a few years back at 19. We still have his car, and we collect anything we can that is a '65 Impala - especially if it's a four door. Just a random thought, if anyone wanted to give some feedback.

Hey y'all My neighbours are moving to England in a month, and they were clearing out their garage today. As I was coming home from school I passed a dumpster outside their house, and saw a bike lying on top of a pile of junk. My family is good friends with theirs, but I asked them if I could have the bike before ai took it. It wasn't in brilliant shape,it's slightly scraped and rusty, but the gears and brakes don't work. At this point in my life I've riden every type of bike there is (including a unicycle). Well every type with the exception of a tandem bike. For those who don't know what a tandem bike is it's a bike that two people can ride at the same time Unfortuna…

This may have been posted before, but as I was looking at the page that shows all the cars used by characters in the show, I noticed there was some inaccuracies when it came to Daisy's cars. True, she started out the show with a yellow 1973/74 Plymouth Road Runner...but the story goes, when parts became too difficult to find to repair the few they had on the show, they switched to a 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring...painted with the Road Runner paint scheme. So, the '71 she used was actually a Satellite, and not a Road Runner. Just FYI. What I don't understand though, is in 1979 a '74 vehicle would have only been 5 years old...you're telling me that barely five years l…

This is my CJ-7 I just Picked up. It is a solid base and will become my "Dixie" CJ-7 Has anyone else done this? I found the Golden Eagle decal but I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get the DIXIE decal with the daisies or am I going to have to have it custom made. I have spent a couple hours searching the internet with no luck. Anyone?

Hey y'all I've had this idea for a while, but it seemed that whenever I'd try to do it I always faced some obstical that forced me to stop. Now however I'm trying it. I've always been fascinated with motorbikes, mainly Harleys. Around Christmas of last year I began toying with the idea of fitting a gas engine from a lawnmower, chainsaw or weed wacker. Last weekend I put that idea to paper, and within three hours of deciding on this project bought a bike. The badge says it was made in west Germany, so it's atleast 25 years old. And because it's German it's built like a tank. Unfortunately I found this out the hard way after I had broken seven drill bits trying to drill hole…

  12. Hi y'all!! My brother recently got a new bike, and he gave me the old one to use for parts. Well when I say he gave me it, it was more like," I'm giving you this bike, but you have to go and get it". I should explain at this point that he left it at our grandparents house three years ago, and never got round to collecting it. It sat neglected and forgotten, slowly being swallowed by the ivy in their back yard. Anyway I went round to their house today, and after taking off the seized front brake and pumping up the tires managed to cycle it part of the way home, at which point the rear gears locked up which caused the bike to skid. I tried using brute force to unlock the …

Hey y'all It was suggested to me back in November that I call my white ladies racer Dixie. Somehow Dixie just didn't seem right for that bike. I recently got back into recumbent bikes. They're bikes that you sit back on and the pedals are infront of the handlebars. Unfortunately they are really expensive so I decided to build one myself. Here's a picture of what I'm basing mine on I started searching,an found someone selling three kids bikes for €20 total! The one on the left is going to supply the handlebars, pedals, front forks, chain and wheel. The middle one is going to be the main bike that I sit on. The one on the right is going to donate it's axles to help hold …

  15. I have searched here I have spent a ton of time on the internet searching I need a good picture of the Dixie Decal on the side of Daisy's Jeep. I can't find a good screen capture or picture of it. I know it is a golden Eagle edition and I know where to get that decal but I need a good Picture so I can have a local company recreate me a vinyl graphic. If anyone has a picture of it please email it to vstar650vt@yahoo.com Thanks a Bunch! Mike

As I mentioned in my introduction post, I have a '68 Charger 'General Lee' and I thought I should share a pic or two. This photo shows the car when I first imported it to the UK. It was just a rolling shell, already painted in Hemi Orange with a 440 and a mismatched set of Vectors, and not much else! This is the Georgia-era inspired nudge bar I designed and made. It's not accurate to the show, but it fits the car really well and gets a lot of interest. This one shows me and my good friend Nick applying the flag decal. He's from Tennessee working in the UK, and we became good friends when he found out I was a Duke fan and General owner. He said he didn't think he'd trave…

Hey y'all! I'm in my final year of school, and have big exams at the end of the year. One of the exam subjects I do is woodwork, and we're allowed to make anything we want (within reason). I started off building a wooden bike frame, but I wouldn't have had enough time to finish it. I then decided to make a wooden push go-kart. I'm nearly finished building the rolling frame, then I just have to paint it (a la General Lee of coarse!), and maybe add a foam seat. Here are some of the pictures from birth to current state. The main frame. The back and sides. I used finger joints to hold the three sides together, then screwed them into the main frame. The sides and back screwe…
