I've decided that instead of spamming the HazzardNet Garage section of the forums, all new projects will appear here. Although I'm in my final year of school, with big exams at the end of the year, I hope to build a new wacky bike at least once every three months. This is a list of potential projects that I'd like to try and build. After building, modifying and generally working on bikes for the past few years I've decided to step things up a notch, and have a go at designing,fabricating and building my own custom bike frame. I went through about a dozen designs, before finally settling on this one. This is a cross between an American beach cruiser, and a chopper motorcycle. I've decided to use only materials I have in my garage for this build. Luckily I have some round steel tubing, which is ideal for the frame. Hey y'all I've decided to strip down and rebuild my daily rider to it's former glory. I got it in 2007 for my birthday, and it's the last bike that my parents bought me. However despite it being the youngest bike I have, it's in the worst condition by far. It barely ran (only in the gear ratio 1-5), the front wheel was buckled from a collision with a car last year,the gears were gone, the back brake jammed whenever I used it, someone stole the badge from the front if the bike, the front brake barely worked and the rubber on the brake was torn off in the car collision and I never got round to fixing it, the rear tire was ready to burst (it had a duct tape patch holding i…

Hey y'all! Since I started working on bikes, I've picked up a few tricks and come up with a few myself. Here's one that I tried recently. I came home from a months holiday down the country on Sunday. I left two parts bikes sitting outside, and when I got home nuts and bolts had seized on them. WD40 partially worked, but it was still a struggle. Then I remember hearing that cola is meant to be good at loosening up rusted and seized bolts. I was a little skeptical, but went out to buy a could bottles of various sodas. Hi y'all!! My brother recently got a new bike, and he gave me the old one to use for parts. Well when I say he gave me it, it was more like," I'm giving you this bike, but you have to go and get it". I should explain at this point that he left it at our grandparents house three years ago, and never got round to collecting it. It sat neglected and forgotten, slowly being swallowed by the ivy in their back yard. Hey y'all I've had this idea for a while, but it seemed that whenever I'd try to do it I always faced some obstical that forced me to stop. Now however I'm trying it. I've always been fascinated with motorbikes,mainly Harleys. Around Christmas of last year I began toying with the idea of fitting a gas engine from a lawnmower,chainsaw or weed wacker. Last weekend I put that idea to paper, and within three hours of deciding on this project bought a bike. The badge says it was made in west Germany, so it's atleast 25 years old. As I mentioned in my introduction post, I have a '68 Charger 'General Lee' and I thought I should share a pic or two. This photo shows the car when I first imported it to the UK. It was just a rolling shell, already painted in Hemi Orange with a 440 and a mismatched set of Vectors, and not much else! This is the Georgia-era inspired nudge bar I designed and made. Hey y'all It was suggested to me back in November that I call my white ladies racer Dixie. Somehow Dixie just didn't seem right for that bike. I recently got back into recumbent bikes. They're bikes that you sit back on and the pedals are infront of the handlebars. Unfortunately they are really expensive so I decided to build one myself. Hey y'all My neighbours are moving to England in a month, and they were clearing out their garage today. As I was coming home from school I passed a dumpster outside their house, and saw a bike lying on top of a pile of junk. My family is good friends with theirs, but I asked them if I could have the bike before ai took it. It wasn't in brilliant shape,it's slightly scraped and rusty, but the gears and brakes don't work. Hey y'all. You'll probably laugh at me for this but my pride and joy isn't your standard General Lee. My General is a push bike!But when I first got it it was in similar condition to the General Lee in Happy Birthday General Lee.Its frame was bent at the front (its a former stunt bike so that's not too surprising),the ball bearings were non existent,and part of the frame had rusted away.The previous owner explained that he stopping using it about 8 years ago,after he had bent the frame,and that the bike was about 20 years old. This is my favorite car that I have owned so far at least this one is american made and I love it as much as if it was a General Lee and been working on undercoating it with POR 15 and putting Castrol GTX High Mileage Oil in her and she's been running like a champ since I bought her 2yrs ago and have. Can not wait for summer weather to come so I can start undercoating her with POR 15 which is extremely good at stopping rust. I have just hit 77,450 miles with her, the only thing I have replaced is the exhaust hanger and gotta replace the Blower Motor Resistor as soon as I can.

I noticed in The Ghost of the General Lee, and I think in a few other episodes too, there is a white Chevy Impala; in The Ghost episode it's parked downtown when the General is 'driving itself'. Can anyone tell me for sure if this is a '65? It looks like a '65 four door, which is a hard to find car. My brother had a '65 Chevy Impala four door; he passed away a few years back at 19. We still have his car, and we collect anything we can that is a '65 Impala - especially if it's a four door. Just a random thought, if anyone wanted to give some feedback.

My first car that my dad bought me for my 16th birthday was a 1966 Ford Mustang GT (is there any other?) It was maroon with dark red leather and wood interior. She wore wide white letter tires with real wire hub caps and she was powered by a 289 high performance engine with a 4 barrel carberator. She looked good and was fast too! I really loved that car and actually drove her for about 6 years before my dad bought me a 1973 Chevrolet Nova (that I fell in love with at first sight!) But we kept the mustang in the family and my dad drove her for another 6 years.

I know we all wish we were crusing around in a General Lee but most of us ain't that lucky. So I'm curious what does everyone actually drive. I drive a 2001 black Mercury Cougar... I named her Ledi. She's a 5 speed... I hate automatics (no offense to anyone, but they just ain't as much fun) got a V6 2.5 liter, a sunroof and 6 disc in dash CD changer. She's my third car, I bought her used with about 38,000 miles on her, before I had a 1996 green Pontiac Sunfire named Sway which eventually just gave out and a 2002 navy blue Chevy Cavilier named Jesse which I totalled out. We all know the General is the coolest car in Hazzard, but what other cars do you think are cool in Hazzard. I think both Daisy's car and jeep are cool vehicles. In real life, I drive a 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24, black exterior and interior, 2.8 litre engine, automatic transmission, with sunroof and a heater like a furnace, a broken tape deck and stereo and a broken air conditioner.
