A couple things Ive noticed in the inside covers of the 2 season DVDs: Season 1 DVD, in the pic with the crash between the General, the COP car, and the black car, the door of the General Lee is slightly ajar(supposed to be welded shut). Season 2 DVD, in the pic with the patrol car, the General and everyone posing,on the front license plate of the patrol car, the confederate flag is airbrushed out. (that kinda pi--ed me off)

Hope this might make for an interesting thread for the more hardcore 'nit picker' fans (a dedicated group of which I proudly consider myself to be!) As we know, continuity from episode to episode in the Dukes was (sadly) fairly rare. After each average episode was over, the reset button was effectively pressed; things seldom affected future episodes* and there is rarely reference back to events of specific previous episodes. But there are a few exceptions, and I thought it would be fun to gather them. (* obvious exceptions, such as Daisy's Plymouth being replaced with a jeep (confused with jumbled broadcast order), Enos leaving/returning, Bo and Luke leaving/returning, …

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was late sixties or early seventies that it was made mandatory for vehicles to have insurance. That said, the enormous question is; what kind of life would the insurance agency for Hazzard have (as in reactions)? I would have been quite interested in seeing an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard in some sort of depiction on an insurance agency and how the agents handled it. If I recall the quotes of one Rosco Coltrane correctly; "Guess they're gonna cancel my insurance now..." Surely the backbone to my thesis stands. Especially if Rosco was running through patrol cars like water on rye.

Has anyone every figured this out? Been watching some eps on CMT and trying to nail down the interior layout. Of course I've noticed the way they changed things around occasionally. From what I've observed so far, it looks like at some point they completely swapped the two sides of the room relative to the front door. I would like to recreate the intro/theme song for the Dukes of Hazzard. Does anyone know where those clips come from? I know that the long jump at the start comes from Season 2 Episode 7 at 33:35 Other than that I have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi folks, My first time on the forum in a LONG time (in fact, I've just spent two hours trying to remember which email I used so I could access my old account). One of my goals is to post MUCH more regularly this year, but for now... Hey y'all! I don't know how I've managed to keep this quiet for the week, but last weekend I went to a local car show. I saw a movie style General Lee and began talking to the man standing next to the car. It took me a minute to realise that I was talking to none other than Tom Sarmento. Yes that's Tom Sarmento as in the lead mechanic for the Dukes of Hazzard. We spent over an hour talking about stories and myths surrounding the cars and methodology the builders used back then. Wow.. the packaging and 9 dvds in this.. i paid $32 at walmart for it. All the cds have an individual character on it... luke, bo, daisy, uncle jesse, cletus, cooter,boss hogg, roscoe, and the general lee. I am really impressed with this.. its the best looking one.. i'm gonna go watch the extras now...Later y'all.

I noticed that "The Dukes of Hazzard" had a Smurfette problem. That is the show only had one female main character, as opposed to recurring characters. That meant that the show placed the female characteristics onto one person. My idea would have been, in addition to two male cousins, two female cousins. That would have even out the character traits. What do you think?

Ok im going to start this game. I will list 10 characters from the show and the number 10 beside them.What you do is name two characters that are in the list one that you want to give a point to and one that you want to take a point away from( example plus 1 bo duke, minus 1 rosco). Then when a characters score gets to 0 there eliminated. Last person standing wins. You can only vote once per day. Hi, I was just wondering if any of you knew the specific make and model of the lightbars used on the Sheriff cars in almost every episode (save Million Dollar Sheriff).
