  3. A guy named Scott's advice in a Dukes of Hazzard Facebook group to another guy in the group wanting to buy a 1:18 scale Auto World General Lee. "Whatever you do, don’t even consider buying from the scammers hause something top, I can’t remember the full name, but I saw it in the videos advertising a 1/18 auto world for $10.99, googled the name and it said it’s a scam, and obviously if the price sounds too good to be true, it is." My reply to Scott "Scott Buchberger Exactly. I had it happen to me on eBay with a Skipper's hat from Gilligan's Island. The guy Bluenox advertised it with Mouse Braiding like Alan Hale Jr.'s Lancaster Uniform Cap Co. hats had on them, but he shipped me a Gorget Braid hat instead. It was $38 excluding shipping. I paid $78.29 because the shipping he hid was $40.29 it was a bait and switch tactics scam. My mom is handy at crafts and made my Mouse Braid and put it on there."

  5. I been binging 1950s Rock 'N' Roll music of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J. P. The Big Bopper Richardson all night on YouTube. So much better than today's Rock 'N' Roll music. Back then you could understand it. Today R&R is just noise with a few intelligible words thrown in.
  6. Rosco never QUITS chasing the Duke Boys.
  7. La Bamba (1987) Trivia: Lou Diamond Phillips learned Spanish to sing La Bamba, and he did all the singing in the movie La Bamba (1987) himself. No dubs, no lip syncing none of that jazz. It was authentic. I heard a backstory about it. The backstory goes he was approached by the production team about them dubbing him, or him lip syncing to the real Ritchie's music, and he said "No. I want to do all the singing myself."
  8. Walk the Line (2005) Trivia: I heard that just like with Lou Diamond Phillips (Ritchie Valens) La Bamba (1987), the production team of Walk the Line wanted Joaquin Phoenix to be dubbed or lip sync Johnny Cash's songs. Just like Lou did with Ritchie, Joaquin refused and sang all Cash songs himself. He learned to play the guitar too. Reece Witherspoon also did her own singing as June Carter.
  9. Honestly I genuinely feel blessed to be here, and thanks for the compliment Roger.
  10. That is some Uncle Jesse style wisdom there Roger, l appreciate it. And it’s true what you say too. I’m not the type to fall that easily anymore, I was as a teenager. Fast and furious, but these days I take it a tad slower. (Age 22, soon to be 23)
  11. My heart goes out to you Hobie.. Divorce is quite prevalent unfortunately, my family knows that one all to well with a brother of mine. Fact is, he had been with her a while. Even had kids, but she got wandering on the other side of the fence, thinking the grass was greener… Long story short, even the most solid marriages can have cracks by times.. I grew up with them dating when I was a baby, and then getting married when I was a kid. Anywho. Well I’ve taken an interesting approach so far, I’m not really sure at the moment so I’m just taking it easy, when I was at my local Boars Nest this week I did start an interesting conversation with a lady over a pool table, kinda scoped out the situation and bought her a beer too. But yeah, it’s little interactions like that, that I’m starting out with. See who clicks and who vibes. Dating almost seems a lot like fishin, though sometimes it’s the ladies that reel us in ain’t it?

  13. I married too young and it didn't last. But my second wife and I are are closing in on 30 years of marriage and still deeply in love. So I guess Hobie is right. You are flipping a coin. That's why it's not something you should rush into....even if you can tell on the first date that it's the person you want to be with forever. You need at least a year together before proposing. And even that is no guarantee of long term success if you marry.
  14. I'm suspecting a mistake was made. It seems like it should be One Armed Bandits vs Days of Shine and Roses.
  15. Nobody in my family ever went to college until the generation after me and most of them went.
  16. That's because you have! And we are lucky to have you. A lot of people hang out a few days and then we never hear from them again but I can tell you are different....and I mean that as a compliment!
  17. actually that was just in high school! When I got to college, it was even better! When I was in college, There wasn't hardly a semester that went by, that I wasn't on the Dean's List! Well....I WAS on the Dean's List.......until he finally got tired of it ....and just turned it over to the police!
  18. ( I ran out of emoticons!)
  19. After I got out of college, got married etc., I saw a teacher from way back in grade school and when she asked me what I'd been doing, I told her I went to college, she said she couldn't believe it because I hated school worse than anyone she's ever known!
  20. my advice.....DON'T DO IT!!! It's like smoking....don't even start!! Studies have shown that dating leads to marriage and that marriage, in this country, is the leading cause of divorce! ( Don't believe me?? Think on this!.....100% of the people you know that are divorced, at one time, were married! It's the 2nd biggest mistake I ever made in my life!
  21. Carnival is beating out Ghost??? I can't believe it! Carnival is one of the worst! Ghost is pretty good!
