Interesting that I’d stumble upon this topic on April 14th, the very night she struck that iceberg in the icy atlantic waters.. all those years ago… in 1912. I’m planning on rewatching this movie tonight, in honour of those who perished during the tragedy. May they rest in peace..

Happy birthday (April 14) in Hazzard Heaven Miss Loretta! You had an amazing life and made so many people happy.....including the folks of Hazzard. We miss you sweetheart.

These guys are everywhere. They remind me of the Dukes cartoon series. The biggest difference is that none of these F1 cars could beat the cartoon version of the General Lee. That thing could jump over the Moon.

There was definitely more overtaking this week at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The McLarens were quickest in practice, and Oscar Piastri put his on pole for the race. Lando Norris wasn't as comfortable in his McLaren and only qualified sixth. Max Verstappen was also unhappy with his Red Bull and started seventh. Oscar led the whole race to take his fourth F1 victory. George Russell got his Mercedes up to second at the start and managed to keep the place until the end, although at the moment he's under investigation for a technical infringement. Despite at 5-second penalty for being out of position on the grid, Lando moved up from sixth to finish third. He was followed home by the two Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. Ferrari had an upgraded car this weekend, but Charles said it wouldn't show much improvement in this race due to the nature of the track. Max got past the Alpine of a fast Pierre Gasly on the last lap. Haas got both of their cars home in the top ten with Esteban Ocon in eighth and Oliver Bearman in tenth. Between them in ninth was Yuki Tsunoda in the second red Bull. The race highlights are here. Only a week until the next race in Saudi Arabia.

Did you know that Lancaster Uniform Cap Co., the primary maker of the iconic Skipper hat worn by Alan Hale Jr. in the original Gilligan's Island series (1964-1967) and reunion movies (1979 and 1981), is no longer in operation? Today, Midway Cap Co. in Chicago is the only official maker of the Skipper hat still in business. Interestingly, they also produced the secondary hat worn by the Skipper in the 1978 movie Rescue From Gilligan's Island, as well as Alf's hat in the 1987 TV special Alf: Somewhere Over the Rerun. If you're a fan of Gilligan's Island or looking for a unique hat, you might want to check out Midway Cap Co.!
