  1. WOW! That is cool! Does that actuall play the tune to "Dixie"? That is such a great idea!! Do you ever get strange looks from the neighbors with that??! 9 o'clock isn't early for bed!! I go to bed at 9! That is because I have to get up early to do the barn chores! Sorry, I started straying off the subject... I really think that the mower is a cool Idea! Gee, I wish I had something like that to ride around on! That is brilliant!! General Grant
  2. Happy Birthday MaryAnne! It appears that you certainly have a lot of people who appreciate what you do around here! I hope that you enjoy your special day, and find some time to relax! You have fun and enjoy yourself today! General Grant
  3. I agree with Roger, this is creative genius. Don't be so hard on yourself, DaisyMae, This really is something only a genius would think of!! Anyway, if I can ever figure out how to do it, count me in! General Grant
  4. Brilliant Idea, Daisy Mae! But I have a question... how can you watch the show and chat? You see, The computer is in one room, and the TV is in another? (I am horrible at figuring this technology stuff out!) Anyway, it does sound like fun! General Grant
  5. Happy Birthday Peggy and Lulu! I hope that your day is simply splendid! General Grant
  6. Hey Y'all! I've never seen (or heard) of Viper. Oh, Brian, I disagree about any show about cars is better than any show without a car... horses are good, too! I'd rather watch a show about a horse than the new Knight Rider... even if it does have a car! Sorry, I'll stop it now! Anyway, I hope that you all enjoy Knight Rider when it airs, I really mean that! Before I go, though, I agree with dukefan about the real KITT being less likely to be "hacked" and the show being boring and all. This new kitt had (as dukefan said) nothing for capabilities! Oh, well. It is what it is, I guess, but I still don't like it! General Grant
  7. Ahhh! I am early for once! Happy Birthday John and Bo! Hope it is a good one! General Grant
  8. Oh, thank you Emy-Rae! That was so nice of you to say about me, and everyone else you mentioned! Thank you to everyone, this post really has a way of Brightening my Day! General Grant
  9. Oh, Laura, I do not think that if I looked in the mirror I'd see Boss Hogg. But, if I held a mirror up to you.... then maybe! Or would you be Rosco?? I aint stole nothing from you... you little marshmallow! I aint blamin' you and I certainly aint causin' problems! I think you, Laura, are the Boss Hogg by trying to snooker Emy-Rae into giving you another bag of candies! You, a Duke... That is just too funny!! Ha! Ha! Ha!.... I can see Roger as a Duke, but you... Okay, sorry, I'll stop now. That aint no chocolate smear on my face you see... I fell face first in the mud trying to run away from you before you took away my bag of candy! Someone Help, PLEASE! I fear that Laura and Roger are going to take away my candy! Bye Rosco... I mean Laura! General Grant Thanks, Roger for gettin' Laura started on this... Khee! That really was a good one, though!
  10. Happy Easter back at you, Julie, and everyone else here at HazzardNet!! Oh, and Laura (and Roger) I feel like the Dukes bein' framed by Boss an' Rosco... so I have one question for y'all and that is this: Which one of you is Boss and which one of you is Rosco??!! Oh, Laura, can't you just be happy with one bag of candy instead of trying to get poor sweet Emy-Rae to give you two bags! Don't fall for Laura's act, Emy-Rae!! General Grant
  11. Hey Y'all! Everyone had very good opinions, and it is refreshing to see a group of people who can talk about politics and such and be very friendly while doing so. Thank you everyone for that! Upon seeing the title of the thread, I was a little leary of opening it because usually people get a little hostile over their beliefs. Thank you everyone, you have proved (yet again) how great of a site this is. I truly appreciate that everyone was open to the opinions of everyone else and were generally accepting of new Ideas. Or at least didn't cut people down because of their thoughts and beliefs. Again... thank you!! I'm not going to comment on this, though. Some of you brought up some great thoughts, and I think it would be better if I just take in what everyone has to say. Some of you did sway my thoughts a little... any of you ever think of becoming a lawyer?! Anyway, I 'm just writing to say thank-you for keeping it (as meadowmufn said in the earlier posts) civil! You all have great thoughts on the topic. But I do think we all owe the soldiers, both past and present, a huge Thank You! Okay, sorry for the stray off of the topic. Please, continue on. General Grant
  12. Thank you to everyone who posted a reply to this thread! I really appreciate it!! And I am so glad to hear that everyone had a nice Easter!! Now, Roger, You know I wouldn't take your chocolates... right? You probably hid them chocolates out in the barn so no one else could have any, and Maudine stole them! Serves you right for hiding them on all of us!! Sorry Uncle Jesse... I shouldn't go sayin' you'd hide them chocolates on us-- you wouldn't think of it, now would you?! I don't know why when there's trouble 'round here I am always the one to get the suspicious looks?? Anyway, it was nice to hear about your Easter, y'all! I enjoyed reading the posts! General Grant (smirks at Roger and pops a coconut filled chocolate in mouth) Mmmm! This is the best chocolate I've ever had!!
  13. Thanks, Emy-Rae!! That was nice of you to give us all a bag of chocolates!! YUM! Anyway, that was cool that you got a little get-together. We just did it with the immediate family. We didn't go all out this year. That was nice just to spend the time with the family! Thanks for sharing, Garrett!! Hopefully you all had a nice time! General Grant
  14. Welcome... to Hazzard County!! I hope that you have an enjoyable stay, and find a couple new friends. If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask!! Y'all just have fun now, ya hear?! Again, welcome and enjoy your stay! General Grant
  15. Happy Easter Y'all! Hope it was special, and you all had fun. Unfortunatly, I don't think there is a very Easter-like Dukes episode. Oh, well! Anyway, I just wanted to wish my fellow Hazzardite citizens a Happy Easter. Oh, and if you all have any stories about things that happened this Easter, or on past Easters, it would be great to hear them! Or if you and your family have any traditions you like, I always enjoy reading about them. I am always amazed at how one holiday is celebrated in so many unique ways. A lot of people have such neat customs, I just love hearing about!! Anyway, Happy Easter! May you and your family have a truly marvelous day! General Grant
  16. I was kind of wondering that myself!! Anyway, I was glad to hear that you are feeling better, Rosco! Khee! Hope you keep improving, and don't go using that ladder for a while! General Grant
  17. We finally found the cord for the Camera, so if you want pictures, I can post them, if it is okay with the moderators, and someone tells me how! If you still want, Brian, I could write something up, also. Hopefully I am not too late! General Grant
  18. Thank You, countrygirl, for posting that! It is always cool to see the Dukes of Hazzard Mentioned! I was thinking about starting a thread about "You might be a Dukeaholoic if..." And I think that it is fair to say all three of you fit in that category! Unfortunaltely I don't own any pictures or anything! My sister has a cast picture, and a General Lee picture and shirt signed by Cooter, and all 7 seasons, though. So, that is probably as close to owning any Dukes merchandise that I'll be for a while! Nice, JESSI! I laughed at your story! One time I saw my grandpa sweeping the road in front of his house... I guess he didn't want the road dirty! There's nothing weird about that, is there?! Anyway, nice story! I laughed! Okay, I think that I am getting off topic here... Sorry! General Grant
  19. Well Said, BoJames! Life certainly would not be as interesting or fun without all of you! Thank You! And do join in, CountryGirl, glad to have you posting! It is nice to see that you have so many friends here! Y'all keep up with this one, I think it is a brilliant Idea! Oh, Laura, were you refering to me when you said that some people were crazy about the original series?! Khee! Khee! General Grant
  20. Oh My Gosh!! I am so sorry!! I don't even remember Thaddeus Hogg, what episode was he on?? I am so sorry! I think I done made a fool of myself! OH, Boy, I did make a fool of myself, I just know it! Anyway, thanks, JESSI, for catching that. Good Job! JESSI: Did you remember him, look it up, or did you watch a show with that character in? Very good catch! I think you saved me a lot more embarrassment! Thanks again, Y'all! General Grant
  21. Okay, Sorry about that second question there, Bo! How about a replacement: In the episode "Coltrane vs. Duke" what is the name of the book that Boss Hogg reads to Rosco? Jack and The Bean Stalk (I just love that scene!!) Is that okay? I know what you mean, about them maybe not remembering. I didn't realize that Sonny and James were that old already! Better not make it too hard. Once you said that, I thought that if I were them I probably wouldn't remember such details that happened two weeks ago, let alone thirty years ago! It sounds fun, if this actually does happen at Dukefest and some of you go, let me know how it was! Chances are I won't be going... General Grant
  22. Oh, don't worry Roscolover! I think I could out do you on the "Clutz Factor"! For me it isn't just dropping things, though. I trip, run into things, you name it, I've probably done it at one time or another! Even when I'm riding my horse, he just loves to run right under a low tree branch, he clears it... I don't! I get laughed at for that every summer at least once! anyway, that was a good story, Julie! Did you give your boss the ol' Rosco laugh after that happened? I'll catch y'all around Hazzard! General Grant
  23. Okay, I thought of some!!! I hope I didn't mess it up!! How many of Boss Hogg's relatives appear on the entire run of the Dukes of Hazzard? (I think I got them all!! And I'm not including Bo from the episode,"My son, Bo Hogg"! Okay, 8 appeared: There's Rosco, Cletus, Lulu, Abraham Lincolin Hogg, Hughie Hogg, Jamie Lee Hogg, Big Dan Hogg, and Dewey Hogg. Name the episodes in which Rosco usues the phrases "Dipstick" "Little Fat Buddy" and "Hot Pursuit"? Okay Dipstick appears first in Swamp Molly; Little Fat Buddy appears in Repo Men; and Hot Pursuit first appears in Mary Kaye's Baby. How did I do, BoJames? General Grant
  24. Hey Redneck girl 01!! First off, Welcome... to Hazzard County!! Secondly-- About your question how to join John's Fan Club... If you go to johnschneider.tv, you could hit the contact button and write to him and ask about your qestion. If anyone knows, he has to seeing as how it is his fan club. Hopefully that helps, I apologize if it doesn't. If you want any help, Feel free to ask. I'd be more than happy to at least try and help you! Again, welcome and I hope that you enjoy your stay!! General Grant
  25. Oooo! Khee! Khee! I love it! I love it! I was wondering if a thread like this would be posted soon!! I've had my fair share of Rosco Moments, too! Lately I am finding that if I start falling or drop something, I start giving the Rosco "Oooo!" Which gets a few grins from the rest of the family because they know that I've gotten into something and just about got hurt!! Anyway, I hope that your foot gets better soon, and it doesn't hurt too much. It really sounds like it hurts!! I hope that you weren't on that ladder in the snow/rain!! General Grant
