  1. I've been great, busy but great! How about yourself. Sorry to keep ya wonderin' Hopefully I will find time to get up this way more often!

  2. Oh, hi!

I haven't been on in a while- you are absolutely right, Redneck! Long time no see everyone! Hopefully I'll be on a little more often. I didn't realize it was so long! I guess time flies even when you aren't having fun!

  3. Hello

sure, suggest a day and time.

  4. Hey Southern Flo! I hope that you enjoy it here, and I'm sure you will find a lot of information, as well as a lot of great fellow Dukes fans. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy it here! General Grant
  5. Thank You for sharing, everyone. I really enjoy reading about how people picked their usernames-very interesting!
  6. Well, since my team isn't playing, I really don't care who wins. But, since both Roger and Redneck girl are rooting for the Steelers, I hope they win, but it would still be better if the Packers won!! Hope the Super Bowl is enjoyable for you!
  7. Thanks dukefan1! I'll have to remember to check that out once some of this snow melts! Its crazy... There's a snow drift about up to the side mirrors! Thanks for all of the help, everyone! General Grant
  8. Hey BoJames! I'm doing good... I admit it, I'm guilty of slacking off! I haven't been on the computer much at all lately! It was nice to hear from you, I hope you are doing well!

  9. Although I'm a little late, as usual, I would just like to say Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a wonderful New Year's Eve and New Years Day. Hope this year is one of good tidings and joy! General Grant
  10. Okay, did I understand this correctly?! The new kitt is leaving?! That in itself is enough to ring in the new year! Okay, sorry. I just really didn't like what I saw when I watched the show. But, then, I was kind of biased on the whole thing. Okay, I'll stop now! But at least the original KITT lasted longer than the new kitt. I think of Febuary 25th I'll celebrate... maybe I'll put in an episode of Knight Rider and have some pop corn and celebrate the originality of the series. General Grant
  11. Hello everyone, and hello Roger... I mean Boss! Okay, Dixie_Nachelle01, I was reading about your resolution possibly be learning to play the guitar. Just a suggestion here, but maybe you could do something like "I'll play the guitar X number of days per week." Just a thought. Anyways-Boss- would this qualify as a resolution...? I'm going to learn sign language and practice at least four times a week. But maybe I could do I'll get back into shape and will shoot for 5 repetitions of 100 pounds for both bench presses and squats. I'll have to decide which of the two I like better (or if they both qualify... Roger, that's your department!) Otherwise I could say I'll keep a box of my favorite treats (orange sticks) in the house and won't have a single one for an entire year. That would be HARD! No, I'm just joking about the orange sticks one! What are you going to pick, Roger? You'll come on Hazzard Net every day, watch a Dukes episode every day, or won't Drink egg nog for an entire year?! Luckily, eggnog only comes out during the Holiday season! I wish everyone luck in this friendly endeavor. I'm sure you all are going to do great! General Grant
  12. Merry Christmas, Roger! Hope it was a great one and you had plenty of eggnog to go around!!!

  13. Great Traditions, y'all! Okay, I might sound like an odd ball here, but here we go... We don't really have any traditions. (we can't ever get two Christmas' to be the same!) But we usually put up the tree, and complain because it is the artificial pre-strung type and not a REAL tree. We like to procrastinate around here, so that usually happens a week or two before Christmas. (unlike a lot of people who put theirs up between Thanksgiving and December 1!!) Well, then there's the traditional "Light Wars" between the family. First the tree is plugged in, then its unplugged, then its plugged in, then its unplugged... you get the idea, and it keeps going like that until the last person goes to bed. And in the morning whoever is up first either leaves the tree unplugged or plugs it back in depending on what side they're on. (what can I say, some people like the lights and some don't!) Usually Christmas Eve we have snack-type food. The past couple of years we haven't had Christmas in the traditional sense (here's where the odd ball part comes in) we don't buy Christmas Presents FOR Christmas Day. We would wait until After Christmas when all of the HUGE sales were on and then buy and have Christmas a week or so later. But, this year we are thinking about doing just one Large Family Gift and skipping all of the little gifts. Oh, and we have yet to send out this year's Christmas Cards. It is really bad... we always plan to get better about that every year, and then... it never happens. They are always getting out late. Well, I guess that is all that there is to tell about Christmas around here. I don't know, I might sound crazy here, but I really enjoy Christmas, but I don't like all of the "commercialism", fanfare, and the huge production that is made over this One day of the year. I guess I'm just a simple person, so I like it really simple. You get up Christmas morning and look out the window to the snow-caped earth (or in some cases the un snow caped earth) and just think about the great life you have with friends, neighbors, family, and loved ones around. It really is a great feeling to look around at a Christmas gathering and notice all of the people that seem to go by Unnoticed through the year. It really is wonderful, and everyone is happy. You know, I don't think I've ever been to a family Christmas gathering where someone was upset. (except maybe me once when some little kids kept taking our ornaments off the tree-they were homemade ornaments and I was worried they'd break) Anyways, I"m starting to babble. I really enjoy hearing about everyone's Christmas celebrations, and I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a wonderful 2009. General Grant
  14. That's a great Idea,Roger. Although whats up with rule number 10?! Gosh, Uncle Jesse, you just plan for everything, don't you! Although, knowing how it is in Hazzard, I'm sure that everyone will pipe in if something is controversial Okay, question... does anyone know what their resolution will be? I want to join in, but I'm not sure what to put down as a resolution... I've been told I have commitment issues. I'll be commited to whatever I pick for an entire year. Oh, boy! This is going to be difficult. Okay, Roger, I'm going to start nitpicking now... if you think that Ground Rules number 5 and 6 will be controversial, but rule 10 states that you have the final say in anything that is controversial... what does that mean? Doesn't that mean that you will ultimately mean that you will decide. I have an idea, lets vote! Else we can just call you Boss Roger! (like BossHogg!) Khee! Okay, I best stop before I come off as rude. Sorry, I just couldn't help picking on poor Roger, he's done it to me enough General Grant
  15. Poor Red, I think y'all are sacrin' 'em away! You guys don't really walk around with whips and chains, now do ya? Right? I hope... You know how them computer gizmos are. They always have a mind of their own when it comes to glitches (such as deleting all posts pertaining to compliments sent Brian's way) but they never work when you want them to, like when you're trying to compliment Brian! Oh, as for the sign Brian has that is supposed to read "compliment department" but says "complaint department" I propose that you compromise on that. Lets have it read "Complimentary Complaint Department" Okay, so it was a dry joke... someone, I need a glass of water... its dry in here!
  16. Amanda Coltrane: I hope that all goes well with the situation you are in right now, hopefully you'll have a good update for us soon. Do you know what it is yet? Anyways, I hope that everything works out alright, and your fiance gets better really soon. I wish you both the best with that. I know how scary it is when someone in your family has a health issue, esspecially when you don't know what it is. You just feel so helpless, and scared. I hope all works out! General Grant
  17. Congratulations, Meadowmufn! One Thousand posts is quite an acomplishment! I'm sure you'll have the next thousand down real quick! Hope to see y'all around Hazzard! General Grant
  18. No, why...? I just haven't been on lately.

  19. I agree with you there about KITT! Oh... and now, I believe, it is no longer Michael, it is Mike... (my blood pressure is rising!) I think I best just leave it at that before I go off. I will say that this new "series" is inferior to the original. I may just be living in la la land here, but to me there is only one Knight Rider, and one KITT, and that is the Original 1980's version! Couldn't they have re-named this new show something else? I could handle a spin off, but I can't handle this! I get teased in my house whenever the show or commercials for it come on because I can be happily engaging in a conversation, and as soon as that new inferior vehicle or its driver come on I become outraged and go on a rampage over that! I have TRIED to stand watching it, but only get about five minutes into an episode and have to turn it off. I did watch the pilot. It was aweful, it wasn't Knight Rider at all! I went to bed very upset that night! Alright, I'll leave... I'm starting to go off and babble now. But, I still like the ORIGINAL better. General Grant
  20. Welcome to Hazzard Net, Red! Hope you enjoy it here and have a wonderful stay. General Grant
  21. Okay, I like Christmas, I really do! I just don't like all the glamour, glitz, and commercialism that goes along with it. Now, we do take down our decorations every year, but I think we are probably the last ones to get them up. Usually a week (or less) before hand. In our house, it is always a "fight" over the traditional REAL trees (I'm on that side) vs. the fake trees. I like the real ones. They smell great, look great, and it just isn't the same to decorate a hunk of metal and plastic. To me... it just seems... STRANGE. Well, I like Christmas, but not mixed in with Halloween... or Thanks giving for that matter. I'm a very "let me celebrate/recover from one holiday before you drag me into the next" type of person. (I may sound crazy here) but I don't actually "celebrate" Christmas in the normal sense. I dont' go out and buy gifts, so to me the X number of shopping days until Christmas is Irrelevant. I'm cheap... I go out AFTER christmas and take advantage of them Sales! It is just great and I love finding a great deal! Sure, there isn't as much of a selection... but it is the thought that counts, right? Anyways, my family doesn't go overboard. I'll settle for time with my family and the great food! YUM! That is the most awaited meal of teh entire year, after my birthday feast, I think! And the music... I prefer them old time traditional songs that seem to be more and more unpopular. But I will say, that watching "How the Grinch stole Christmas" is a tradition that is met with much anticipation. That is the only time of the year that the whole family really watches a movie together... with intrest. And that is the one time I get Delicious Red Apples and Carmel Dip. (that is what I was eating the first time I saw "the Grinch") so, that is the one time I have a very intense craving for it! (more then Y'all wanted, or cared, to hear, Right?!) Anyways, Y'all Have fun this Christmas, and I apologize for my rambling on. General Grant
  22. Roger: That is both a happy and sad story. It is great that you got a lot of pictures, though. Realistically, I think I'm in the same situation as you were... it may be expensive. I know there was talk around here about junking it... I'd cry if that ever happened. I may have to though, it really is BEAT UP. I'll still be upset. I'd probably get depressed. This makes me want to go get a bunch of pictures. Like... Thirty rolls of film worth, or a couple memory cards, which ever has more! I'll have to look up that song. "Old Yellow Car" I'll make a note to do that, and another note so I dont' lose it! Catch y'all around Hazzard! Oh, and thank you for sharing your story, Roger! General Grant
  23. REALLY?? He's a professional poker player?! I would never have guessed that! Oh, that song that Vinnie sings was in my head all day today! So, it was funny you mentioned that. Who's your favorite character on "Welcome Back, Kotter"? Anyways, great to see all the wonderful TV shows. General Grant
  24. Very Nice Quote, Roger! I really like that one... never heard it before. I'll admit, I haven't really listened to a whole lot of Waylon Jennings songs. (and don't go bugging your eyes out in suprise, Roger!) Anyways, what happened to your Ford Mustang? That is so sad that it reduces you to tears when you think about it. Actually, the guy we bought the Bronco from is a friend of the family, and he was telling me the other day that it was his first vehicle and he just loves it. He said that when ever he is over he just loves to go look at the Bronco. That made my day, because at least one person on this earth understands about that rusty, beat up old Bronco! I just love it! Anyways, Roger, I hope that the story about your Mustang isn't sad or anything. I just hate sad endings. I'd like to hear about it if you don't mind, though. General Grant
  25. Hey Y'all! Wow! There are a lot of great TV shows here! Okay, here's some of my favorite, and I'm sure I'll forget some! But first, to answer a question, yes, i1976, I've heard of Welcome Back, Kotter; I've really only seen the first season, and I like it! Anyways, here's my list! Besides the Dukes: -Knight Rider -MacGyver -Magnum, P.I. -The Waltons -Little House -Gilligan's Island -Leave it to Beaver -Green Acres -Welcome Back, Kotter -and my newest find... The Incredible Hulk! Thank You to whoever started (and added) to this thread! Great Idea, and it looks like a lot of us have quite a few shows in common! General Grant
