  1. I don't think I've visited either of those sites. www.hazzardonline.com still appears to be available, but there's no trace of www.dukefarm.com. I know of a few other Dukes sites that are still running, but I can also name some that have disappeared over the past decade. HazzardNet may well be the only remaining Dukes forum after cglfc.com shut down about five years ago. I never joined cglfc.com, but I did read posts there from time to time. At the end of the day, it costs money to keep places like HazzardNet alive. We should be thankful that our Supreme Superior Commander is such a dedic

  2. Hey everyone. I'm Dani and I'm new here and am a huge fan of the Dukes Of Hazzard. I'm a country gal and proud of it. I own every single season of the Dukes Of Hazzard and recently began rewatching it from the beginning of the series. My favorite Duke is Bo Duke and I love John Schneider. I'm currently working on saving money to buy myself a horse. Some of the things I like doing are working with my grandpa out on the farm, horseback riding, reading, writing fan fiction, roleplaying, watching tv and much more. I love making new friends so if you'd like to get to know me better

  3. In Hazzard, the more things change, the more they stay the same. This is also true at Cooter's Place in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. About a year ago, Cooter's in Gatlinburg relocated to nearby Pigeon Forge due to unforseen circumstances. The new location does not have the 'familily fun center' gocarts and indoor mini golf. However, the new store brings opportunities to build new fun experiences for Dukes fans to enjoy. In addition to easier access and expanded room for events and more cool Hazzard merchandise and collectibles, we are now buiding in the famiilar setting of the Hazzard Garage.

    Hazzard Square

At least Boss' house is still standing. The houses after it, including the haunted house from 'The Hazzardville Horror', have been replaced by newer buildings. Considering LA's liking for redevelopment, the remaining houses on Hazzard Square must be among the oldest in the area .

    Return to Fun

There seems to be a trend here to post stuff that is a little bit edgy. That's no surprise since the world seems to have gone crazy. Since I have been part of the problem I really am not worthy of acting like Uncle Jesse and getting everybody back it line with a gruff authoritarian voice so I won't...... but I will say this: While I may be tempted in the future to post stuff that displays my anger about insane current events I will not anymore. This website is one of my favorite things in the world and I don't want to ruin it by being part of the problem. From this point forward I pledge to re

    NASCAR news

We've mentioned a couple of historically famous non-NASCAR drivers recently, so I thought I'd share a quote from another that I heard last night. Juan Manuel Fangio dominated the early years of F1, winning the World Drivers' Championship five times in the first decade. Here's his quote: "Driving fast on the track does not scare me. What scares me is when I drive on the highway I get passed by some idiot who thinks he is Fangio."

  8. Well, unfortunately I'm totally ditching the engine....finally the evidence was overwhelming that I needed to go with the smaller-block engine, finished in blue. So I purchased the engine parts from the AMT Duster. Starting over. In the meantime, here's what happened with the interior. Two modifications to be made: the steering wheel and the air vents. In one episode (Gold Fever S2E2) the instrument panel is visible, showing the dashboard to be the style with two air conditioning vents. I discovered this after I'd started painting, so, strip the paint, add the parts and start

  9. Found a great one while researching Daisy's Plymouth. From that car's final chase leading up to its destruction at Kissing Cliff, they recycled the same shot but reversed it. I first noticed it by noticing the same body damage (rear fender above the wheel) on both sides. When I slowed it down frame-by-frame, I was shocked to see it was the EXACT SAME FOOTAGE but reversed...and that I'd never had a clue! First time we see it is the reversed footage. You can see on the supposed driver's side what is Luke's arm casually on the window ledge, gripping the roof...on what is actu

  10. One more for today. For the filming, all identification logos/scripts on the vehicles were removed (i.e. all the "Charger" logos, the "FORD" from above the grill and tailgate on Jesse's truck, "PLYMOUTH" and "DODGE" from the Sheriff cars, etc). Most of this is easy for Daisy's Plymouth, except for the grill and in front of the hood. We'll deal with the grill later. For the removed emblem in front of the hood, there is a recessed area that was left untouched once the emblems were removed, and then painted over. I tried removing the bit inside the recessed cir

  11. Not really a blooper, but an oddity. When Bo and Luke borrow Cooter's pickup near the end of 'People's Choice', Cooter says, "Do me a favor. Put a couple of dollars' worth of gas in there." Coooter was just leaving his garage where the town's gas pumps are located, so if it was low on gas, why didn't he put some in the tank?

(S4E1 "Mrs Daisy Hogg") Or: Cooter: "Well, what brings you out so early, Boss?" Rosco: "I'll tell you what brings him out. He knows you’re an early bird, and with him being a worm, he plans on catching you.” (S5E19 "Welcome Back Bo 'N Luke")

First the tow rig has six small rounded-rectangular position lights. To make them all as uniform as possible I made a master shape from styrene, then made impressions of it in moldmaking material. I made a lot of extras since I wanted a lot to choose from, and would only take the best 6. This ended up being a very wise move. Clear resin was poured into the mold impressions and thank God there were 6 decent ones to use from the resulting blob. They h

This is to figure out if this scale is good for the eventual project to see if its big enough, etc., but its fun to see Hazzard Square in 3 dimensions even in this monotone form! To answer the inevitable question, its made from printed designes mounted to foam core and assembled with hot glue. (cat inserted for scale)

A episode of the current season of the UK TV show QI put forward the following: When the Vikings invaded in the 11th century, English women found them attractive because they washed more often than the native British men. The Vikings tended to come without women, so they married English women, upsetting the locals. One monk, John of Wallingford, claimed that Danes cheated by washing. He wrote: "The Danes made themselves too acceptable to English women by their elegant manners and their care of their person. They combed their hair daily and took a bath every Saturday, and even changed thei

The shows that get on-screen warnings for non-PC content seem pretty random too. I've mentioned that the UK channel currently showing Dukes includes a warning at the start, but I don't think they include one with CHiPs, which is from the same era. Another of their shows, an innocuous British sitcom from the late-80s/early-90s, also gets a warning (I'll have to see it again to check the message). The show is based around a man in his 50s dating someone half his age, but I can't see what content might be offensive. I'm considered old-fashioned these days because I'm still adding to my DVD c

Hoss has been around this place for well over a decade and has logged in over 5,500 posts. It doesn't matter that none of them made any sense, that's a lot of posts. But it's not the time or posts that make Hoss special. It's the fact that he has the heart of a Duke. The majority of Hoss's posts show you the kind of person he is. If this was like the rest of the South, you and your preconceived ideas about us would be right! One of the jobs I got with my big fine college education, was as a janitor at the local middle school. The vice principal, with a masters degree in Sociology, told me to put up this sign , " Fall Registeration will be......." I said, you want me to put this up just like you wrote it? She says, yes, why not? I said it's Registration, the noun, NOT register ( ation???) which is a verb!

  30. It's funny how some shows have a big finale and others just finish. M*A*S*H and Cheers have the highest US ratings for their last shows, but I didn't expect Magnum to come in a #5 (see this list). I can think of a couple of UK TV shows that didn't have a definitive ending, which always leaves the door open for another season or Christmas special. UK shows tend to have much shorter seasons compared to shows in the US, but often get an extended episode at Christmas which may or may not be part of the current season.

  32. Intelligent alien life is a certainty so I'm going to draw the conclusion that Strange Visitor to Hazzard is most realistic episode in all 7 years of the series. The only thing that wasn't realistic is when L'il Cousin shot the pistol out of Buck's hand by shooting it with his laser beam eyes. Everybody knows that when an alien's laser beam eyes hit a pistol it makes more sparks than that. This was an embarrassing mistake by the writers.....worst blooper ever. Seriously though, I know what you mean Hobie. I actually enjoyed it a lot this time because I gave myself a little talk and told

Big thanks for my awesome team: My wife Dawn (who it turns out is a great scenic painter), Walter (who it turns out is a great carpenter and electrician!), and Joe, Nelu, and Shannon who keep the store running while we tear it apart, and scare children with the construction noise! Its a particular challenge working around the General Lee- we have to be very careful swinging ladders, lumber, and paint around it.

    Rumor Control

I remember when people used to give the benefit of the doubt, forgive someone's mistakes, and gave second chances. I sometimes give 5 or 6 chances, against my better judgement. I am not a fan of cancel culture. I call it The Church of the Perpetually Outraged. That's a difficult way to go through life. I just don't have the energy for it.

Your insensitive shirt also doesn't consider the feelings of dog owners so I'm proposing that it be banned. Anybody who doesn't agree with me is evil. Thanks for posting that, MM. For anyone who's interested, I think John's standing about here. The curve on the road as seen in the video is now wider than the one in the 2011 Google image that I linked to (and therefore the one seen in the show). John has started answering fans' questions about Dukes on his YouTube channel, although for some reason he seems to like filming them mainly in portrait mode and just after he's done a workout. So far he's talked about how long each episode took to film, what he thought of the reunion movies (and the 2005/2007 movies), and who drank real beer at

The image quality of the YouTube video isn't great, but I think the truck driven by Norman in 'Murder in Peyton Place' was the higher spec Ranger XLT. Even the very clean Uncle Jesse truck which appeared in the backlot scenes of 'Luke's Love Story' (below) never looked as good. The picture above is from the first page of this thread. The truck is noticeably cleaner and less dented than the one used for filming at the Golden Oak Ranch. BTW. The California trucks weren't identical to the Georgia one. Just like Daisy's car, they changed the model when they moved production. In the
