Here are some drawings I did of the General Lee

When I first met Rick, it was in the 90's, so the WWW was in its infancy. When I told him about HazzardNet's predecessor (the Hazzard County Sheriff's Department on Prodigy), he was excited there was a community of fans online still discussing and enjoying the show. He told me he'd be right back and when he returned, he handed me an enormous folder of 8x10s, several of them signed. That was very generous of him. I still have them packed away from the move, but when I find them (someday), I will scan them in and put them on the site. When I mentioned where I worked at the time, we had a connection there and he told me some amazing stories. We just had an awesome conversation. He was very personable and gracious. At the Dukesfest in '01, I got to do an impromptu square dance with him and Jimmie. Good times. I would've liked to have gotten to know him better, but my health and work situations over the years didn't permit me to get to events as much as I'd have liked.

Well done, Skipper. I also remembered the scene but not the episode. Watching the scene again, I remembered that it slightly annoyed me. When Boss reveals his string of dollar signs, every other one should be mirrored if they were cut out of a single piece of paper, but they all face the same way.

Happy Halloween guys!! unfortunately, I come from a family who don't celebrate things much outside Christmas so I'm not doing anything, but my mom bought me some candy last week (which is already almost gone) and I have a cool halloween outfit on Red Dead Redemption Online! Might brave up and watch some horror movies tonight...not sure

Wow. You guys are awesome. I feel like a chooch. I made a post 5 years ago and y’all responded and I ghosted you. So, my wife planned a surprise trip to Covington, GA with the fam. Got To visit the jump sites from the first 5 episodes, meet some other cool Dukes fans AND John Schneider happened to be in town after a convention in Atlanta. Talk about an amazing day! Then, hit Cooters Garage in Pigeon Forge, TN a couple days later. Anyway, I’m totally geeking out on all things Dukes again and looking forward to checking out the forums here! I still love your artwork recreations, Hoss!

Because I'm still close to the UK, I'm usually identified as English, and that's fine with me (although I didn't celebrate St George's Day on Thursday!). My nationality is British, and that's probably how I'd be known further from home where people aren't so familiar with the differences between the Home Nations.

Well I haven't been here in a bit. The business we opened up wound up doing very well but taking up a lot of time as well but it is what it is. Wanted to answer the question that it isn't the one in north Carolina. I live in a small town called Plainville in Georgia, its between Rome and Calhoun. The garage/boars nest im talking about is just outside of Shannon ga towards Kingston Ga. The guy has a General Lee, a 69 F350 cooters tow truck, a daisy jeep and a hazzard patrol car. The garage is awesome and the boars nest is built to the RH side of the garage. Has the correct jukebox and pinball machine as seen from the show. Even has the machine that has the huge bands that Boss Hogg was using to shake the fat away lol. It's really neat how far he has put into it as in detail. He also has a toy section and there is alot of cool stuff there too.

I think I'd have to agree. Maybe you'll like the vocals more in this one. It was on the soundtrack of the 1991 Steve Martin movie 'LA Story', hence the clips in the video. Enya - Exile

It'll conclude next Friday, and I'll let you know which ones made the list. In the meantime, here's a song by an Irish artist who wasn't mentioned in the build-up to the poll. it's been a long time since I updated this thread, and a long time since I did any work to any vehicles in general, but I expect to resume some of my efforts soon, so I wanted to catch this thread up. A while back I built a TWS CJ7 Jeep RC kit. I made some minor modifications in that I printed a modified set of seats from the 69 Charger model that I printed the 69 Charger interior from. I did this because the TWS kit came with the later high-back style seats. The earlier CJ7s like they used in the show had the low back seats which looked very similar to the charger seats, so that was a good way to get the right style seats. Additionally, I was able to carefully cut out the doors on the lexan body and I hope to build some hinges so I can put them on when desired, but that's a project for another day. Because of the open jeep design, it was absolutely necessary to have a driver, and these options were very limited. There aren't any action figures that look anything like Daisy. I looked into some of the proper sized action figures available on Ebay but those seem to be aimed mostly at Cosplay people and perverts. They're expensive, anatomically accurate for pornstars, and the clothing all needs to be bought separately. Since my daughter is involved in this whole process, that approach was scrapped and I found this 3d printable option that I decided to go with. It doesn't really look like Daisy, but it's better than the scale pornstar option! Next step for the Jeep is a more correct wheel/tire package and the decals. I'm not terribly impressed with the decal set that I bought on Ebay, so I'll probably work up my own and have MCI print them for me. He's the one that I got the General decals from, and the one that printed the police decals that I designed. Hopefully soon I'll start my 3rd General Lee build.

Well I just got back from a visit to the best little spot in our county, my local Boars Nest. Awfully quiet for a Sunday though.

I obviously hear so many US voices that I don't really notice the difference in pronunciation with the name George. I saw some short videos yesterday of young Americans returning to the US after brief visits to Europe, and the most important thing they could find to say was that in "The Land of the Free" they could remove the caps from their soda bottles. For the last couple of years our plastic soda and water bottles have had caps which remain tethered to the bottles so the whole lot can get recycled. In Ireland we also pay a deposit on each bottle (15c or 25c depending on size) which we get back when they are returned to a store for recycling. The caps can still be separated easily if it's really too much to deal with, but you get used to them pretty quickly. I find it particularly odd that this should be such an issue for young Americans since when I visited the US in the early 80s you guys had soda cans with ring pulls which stayed attached while on our cans they were still separate and were often just thrown away! This video is now two years old, but the comparison of food prices and availability is still valid. The lady in the video spends six months of the year in the UK and six months in Texas, and the comparison is between Tesco in the UK and Kroger in the US.

In my area of NW Pennsylvania it is easy to get a job, even part time and under 18. Employers are desperate for help.. But I'm sure that's not the case everywhere. Keep looking. You'll get there if you stick with it.

I don't tailgate even when the driver in front is going well under the speed limit. There's just not enough time to react if anything happens. I have also used the slowing down tactic when I've been tailgated.

Jesse erupted " What in tarnation did ya do that fer Emmer?" Miz Tisdale smiled "Now don't you remember Jesse? You was so confident you'd finish ahead of me that you promised to take me on a date to the Hazzard Pond if I beat you." * Sounds just like them! I'm out of emojies...so....

But before Meadowmufn took sixth place the battle for fourth was fierce between Jesse and Emma. Jesse's front bumper crossed the finish line first but when he got out of the truck the race judge (Enos Strate) was already handing the fourth place trophy to Miz Tisdale... Jesse complained "Now Enos, Emmer ran a good race but I'm sure I crossed that there finish line first". Enos replied quickly "Um, I'm sorry about that Uncle Jesse but Miz Tisdale had two fishing poles tied to the front fender of her dirt bike and they stuck out so far that they crossed before your bumper." Jesse erupted " What in tarnation did ya do that fer Emmer?" Miz Tisdale smiled "Now don't you remember Jesse? You was so confident you'd finish ahead of me that you promised to take me on a date to the Hazzard Pond if I beat you." Jesse smiled, "All right Emmer you win. But yer gonna be the one cleaning and frying the fish." She smiled back "I'm okay with that. As long as I can come out to the farm to do it."

Hobie slides in directly after and looks around wondering what happened to Meadow! He's glad everybody made it safely but his concern over Meadow ........wait! There she is! She just pulled in! ( He was worried! )

Seeing how fast Hobie and Uncle Jesse had gotten their vehicles to go fast, Garrett wonders what kind of work they put into their vehicles and why Garrett for once decided to race fair. "This is why NASCAR has all them silly rules," he mutters to himself as he momentarily holds Hobie off in hopes of making it to the finish line first.

I know I've posted something like this before, but this is more detailed. I have several "errors" situations etc. firstly, we know that the 1st episode aired in 1979. in it Waylon says last year (1978) the boys got caught on a run. in happy birthday general lee (aired 1984) we learn 8 years prior (1976) is when they got the general, bo was "just getting out of hs", Luke got out or marines, (not sure of how long someone could/had to stay in service back then) but they were even on probation then. (my guess is they never wanted they boys to use guns) Daisys shotgun wedding (aired 1983) : she had been working at boars nest for 4 years. was it 79 or 76? Hazzard hijack: Lukes's marine "buddy" was part of stolen money 5 years prior (1976) (they never "found" each other after Luke came home) 1979 ghost of general lee rosco says he chased the boys so many times over the years it was only three years I'm sure it was more (but I'm specifically talking of the general) bye bye boss 1981: ten years prior boss sent digger to jail (the "kids" did not know about it) play it again luke 1984: luke last saw candy 7 years prior (1977) there are several others that "meet each other" I know they were never thinking facts for timelines just rewatching it is funny with some episodes.

In the Austrian Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz Jnr's Williams broke down on the grid, so only 19 cars started the race. Oscar Piastri started third, but got ahead of Charles Leclerc at the first bend and spent most of the first stint right on Lando Norris' rear wing and even briefly overtook once. Canadian Grand Prix winner George Russell got past Lewis Hamilton at the start, but Hamilton retook the place be the end of the first lap. Max Verstappen was hit by Kimi Antonelli on the first lap, ending both of their races. Max's team mate, Yuki Tsunoda got a 10-second penalty later in the race for causing a collision and was the last car running at the end, so no points for Red Bull at their home track, the Red Bull Ring. It was also a bad day for Williams as their other car driven by Alex Albon had to retire from a top 10 position after 17 laps. The pit stops gave Lando a bit of breathing space at the front, but there were some good battles behind. After the second pit stops, Oscar was catching Lando, but Lando managed to hang on to the lead through the back markers and took the win for a McLaren 1-2. Oscar's lead in the drivers' championship is now down to 15 points. Ferrari finished third and fourth, and overtook Mercedes in the constructors' championship. Liam Lawson scored his best F1 finish in sixth. Liam had a bad start to the season at Red Bull and got demoted to their junior team RB (Racing Bulls). He now has two more points than Yuki Tsunoda who replaced him! Gabriel Bortoleto also had a great result scoring his first F1 points in eighth in his Sauber. You can see the race highlights here. Next week it's the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. It's the only race of the year that gets shown live here on free-to-air TV, but the weather will determine if I stay in to watch it live.

I can’t believe it in a sense, but there it is. Rick Hurst has crossed the creek on that rainbow bridge, now not only reunited with his kinfolk, but also a lot of the Dukes family who’ve gone on before him. Hello, late reply and actually my first reply. I’m relatively new to this site but I’ve been a Dukes Fan for as long as I can remember! I am from Eastern Ontario, doesn’t look like there are many of us around here. I just made my first Trip in April to Cooters in Luray, Virginia. Sadly I haven’t meet any of the Cast Members the timing just didn’t work out, but I did get a hat signed by Ben Jones!

I dont remember exactly but the Generals 8th birthday seems correct.

I can't pick my favorites, but thats because I suck at picking favs. I like those songs too but I also kinda dig "I Need Someone to Miss" it's very sweet

Okay it looks like we have Hobie in the Trans Am. Garrett in a Jeff Goron NASCAR car. Me on Emma's mail motorcycle. Skipper pulling the SSMinnow with an F-350 dually. MM in Rosco's sheriff's car. Hoss in an orange F1 car. Boss, Spike, others, ya in? If we don't hear from people they're gittin' flat tires as soon as the race starts....but they will be starting.

Let's all remember, it's the MoonShine 400 ( not like Daytona 500, Charlotte 500 etc. ) because we who started the race, can't stay sober long enough to make 500 laps! It's ok though. We have a lot of fun racing people we know and it's mainly a Hazzard County thing, so we don't have to worry about outsiders crashing the party!! I hope everyone has had a great day.
