Here are some drawings I did of the General Lee

When I first met Rick, it was in the 90's, so the WWW was in its infancy. When I told him about HazzardNet's predecessor (the Hazzard County Sheriff's Department on Prodigy), he was excited there was a community of fans online still discussing and enjoying the show. He told me he'd be right back and when he returned, he handed me an enormous folder of 8x10s, several of them signed. That was very generous of him. I still have them packed away from the move, but when I find them (someday), I will scan them in and put them on the site. When I mentioned where I worked at the time, we had a connection there and he told me some amazing stories. We just had an awesome conversation. He was very personable and gracious. At the Dukesfest in '01, I got to do an impromptu square dance with him and Jimmie. Good times. I would've liked to have gotten to know him better, but my health and work situations over the years didn't permit me to get to events as much as I'd have liked.

Well done, Skipper. I also remembered the scene but not the episode. Watching the scene again, I remembered that it slightly annoyed me. When Boss reveals his string of dollar signs, every other one should be mirrored if they were cut out of a single piece of paper, but they all face the same way.

Happy Halloween guys!! unfortunately, I come from a family who don't celebrate things much outside Christmas so I'm not doing anything, but my mom bought me some candy last week (which is already almost gone) and I have a cool halloween outfit on Red Dead Redemption Online! Might brave up and watch some horror movies tonight...not sure

Wow. You guys are awesome. I feel like a chooch. I made a post 5 years ago and y’all responded and I ghosted you. So, my wife planned a surprise trip to Covington, GA with the fam. Got To visit the jump sites from the first 5 episodes, meet some other cool Dukes fans AND John Schneider happened to be in town after a convention in Atlanta. Talk about an amazing day! Then, hit Cooters Garage in Pigeon Forge, TN a couple days later. Anyway, I’m totally geeking out on all things Dukes again and looking forward to checking out the forums here! I still love your artwork recreations, Hoss!

My parents were married 67 years, just a few months shy of 68 years when dad passed. They got married at 19 (mom) and 21 (dad). I've been married almost 23 years. My oldest sister celebrates anniversary #32 this year and my other sister will celebrate #26 later this year. So, my advice would be to find someone who's been married a long time and get advice from them! Because whatever my mom and dad were doing right, it seemed to rub off on us kids. My mom always told me that the key to a long marriage was.... 2 tv sets. And for the record, all of us kids have more than 1 tv set.

To be honest, I'm not much of a drinker, and if I have a pint it's likely to be lager or maybe ale. I don't dislike Guinness, and it does taste different here, but I can't remember the last time I had one. My friend likes the 0.0 alcohol-free Guinness which I might try sometime since I usually have my car with me.

it's been a long time since I updated this thread, and a long time since I did any work to any vehicles in general, but I expect to resume some of my efforts soon, so I wanted to catch this thread up. A while back I built a TWS CJ7 Jeep RC kit. I made some minor modifications in that I printed a modified set of seats from the 69 Charger model that I printed the 69 Charger interior from. I did this because the TWS kit came with the later high-back style seats. The earlier CJ7s like they used in the show had the low back seats which looked very similar to the charger seats, so that was a good way to get the right style seats. Additionally, I was able to carefully cut out the doors on the lexan body and I hope to build some hinges so I can put them on when desired, but that's a project for another day. Because of the open jeep design, it was absolutely necessary to have a driver, and these options were very limited. There aren't any action figures that look anything like Daisy. I looked into some of the proper sized action figures available on Ebay but those seem to be aimed mostly at Cosplay people and perverts. They're expensive, anatomically accurate for pornstars, and the clothing all needs to be bought separately. Since my daughter is involved in this whole process, that approach was scrapped and I found this 3d printable option that I decided to go with. It doesn't really look like Daisy, but it's better than the scale pornstar option! Next step for the Jeep is a more correct wheel/tire package and the decals. I'm not terribly impressed with the decal set that I bought on Ebay, so I'll probably work up my own and have MCI print them for me. He's the one that I got the General decals from, and the one that printed the police decals that I designed. Hopefully soon I'll start my 3rd General Lee build.

Well I just got back from a visit to the best little spot in our county, my local Boars Nest. Awfully quiet for a Sunday though.

I want to apologize for my swearing, I tried to censor myself best I could, but you can only be so polite when angry. I would also like to apologize for dumping all of this on you without posting much, I just wasn't sure where else to post it, people don't really interact with me much anywhere else And I want to thank all of you for your kind words. I understand that not much can help in a random forum I found, but sometimes just seeing a reply notification can help loads

I obviously hear so many US voices that I don't really notice the difference in pronunciation with the name George. I saw some short videos yesterday of young Americans returning to the US after brief visits to Europe, and the most important thing they could find to say was that in "The Land of the Free" they could remove the caps from their soda bottles. For the last couple of years our plastic soda and water bottles have had caps which remain tethered to the bottles so the whole lot can get recycled. In Ireland we also pay a deposit on each bottle (15c or 25c depending on size) which we get back when they are returned to a store for recycling. The caps can still be separated easily if it's really too much to deal with, but you get used to them pretty quickly. I find it particularly odd that this should be such an issue for young Americans since when I visited the US in the early 80s you guys had soda cans with ring pulls which stayed attached while on our cans they were still separate and were often just thrown away! This video is now two years old, but the comparison of food prices and availability is still valid. The lady in the video spends six months of the year in the UK and six months in Texas, and the comparison is between Tesco in the UK and Kroger in the US.

Wow! That is a lot....and none of it good. We care about you and are concerned, but I'm sure you know there is only so much we can do on forums like these. It sure sounds like you need more help than internet friends can provide so I suggest you reach out to local organizations that can help. If you don't know where to go maybe you can contact your county health department and they can point you in the right direction. Churches also can offer help but if you aren't inclined to go that route I understand. We have all been at low points in our lives and talking about it is always the most important step to get better and that means face to face counseling with someone who is trained to help. Please seek out a person like that and keep us updated.

Skyrim is a medieval style game where you get to slay dragons and go on many quests. You also accumulate money and can buy houses in different cities. You can even get married. Non of the women you can marry are as pretty as Emma Tisdale though.

I don't do many long journeys, but luckily I don't recall seeing anyone doing that on my recent trip to Galway, although I'm sure it happens regularly over here. Maybe I'm imagining it, but people here seem to drive much more hesitantly lately. I thought it could be the reduced driving during the Covid lockdowns, but that was a while ago now. Sometimes I approach a junction thinking I'll easily get out because there's a huge gap, but the car in front stops dead and waits for nothing. Then there are the drivers who drive at well under the speed limit completely oblivious to the long queue behind them. That's my two cents.

I've just spent the evening at a bar (very unusual for me) listening to a couple of local guys playing live music on acoustic guitars. It was a good mix of traditional Irish songs and old favorites. What surprised me was the number of Americans at the bar. The first people I spoke to were from just across the Indiana border from Chicago, but there were three groups from California (Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles), one from Seattle and another from Florida. I know where I live is a popular tourist destination, but I rarely get to speak to the visitors.

But before Meadowmufn took sixth place the battle for fourth was fierce between Jesse and Emma. Jesse's front bumper crossed the finish line first but when he got out of the truck the race judge (Enos Strate) was already handing the fourth place trophy to Miz Tisdale... Jesse complained "Now Enos, Emmer ran a good race but I'm sure I crossed that there finish line first". Enos replied quickly "Um, I'm sorry about that Uncle Jesse but Miz Tisdale had two fishing poles tied to the front fender of her dirt bike and they stuck out so far that they crossed before your bumper." Jesse erupted " What in tarnation did ya do that fer Emmer?" Miz Tisdale smiled "Now don't you remember Jesse? You was so confident you'd finish ahead of me that you promised to take me on a date to the Hazzard Pond if I beat you." Jesse smiled, "All right Emmer you win. But yer gonna be the one cleaning and frying the fish." She smiled back "I'm okay with that. As long as I can come out to the farm to do it."

Watching from behind, Jesse sees Hobie take advantage of Garrett's misfortune and pull beside his car. From Jesse's view it looks like both cars crossed the finish line at the same time. The checkered flag waves. It appears Jesse won't know the winner until he finishes the race and asks. All he knows is that it looks like a photo finish. Skipper clearly has third place wrapped up. Losing to a guy pulling a yacht is a bit humiliating but Jesse is happy for Skipper. Now, there's the business of fifth place. He looks at Emma. There just might be a photo finish for fifth place too.

The show that Rick left for was "Amanda's". He played the chef, Earl Nash, at Amanda's by the Sea - a hotel run by Bea Arthur's character Amanda. The show was based on the iconic British sitcom "Fawlty Towers", but was cancelled after 13 episodes. The show also starred Fred McCarren, who was Neil Bishop in "The Big Heist". "Fawlty Towers" famously (at least on this side of The Pond) only ran for two seasons of six episodes each (six episodes is the standard season length for British sitcoms), and they were four years apart due to the stars/writers getting divorced in-between. Here's the first episode of "Amanda's". I assume by the picture quality that it hasn't been released on DVD or repeated lately. Rick appears at just over eight minutes in.

Garrett is in disbelief as Hobie takes a short lead before he regains it and sees an unfamiliar car approaching before being slowed down due to what looks to be life jackets. "Thanks for the save, Skipper," he slightly smiles as he gains more of a lead over the field.

Howdy y’all, forgot to post this yesterday but how was your 4th of July? What did you do to celebrate? Hope it was a great one! Yee-Haw!

It was the third race in the F1 triple-header today with the Spanish Grand Prix. The McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris locked out the front row of the grid ahead of Max Verstappen, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. Lance Stroll apparently had a pain in his wrist related to a cycling accident a couple of years ago, although there were also reports of him losing his temper in the pits after qualifying. Either way, he didn't start the race, so there were only 19 cars on grid (I'm not sure why his Aston Martin team couldn't use a reserve driver). Oscar had a good getaway at the start, but Max managed to jump Lando. Lewis also passed George. Lando got back ahead of Max on lap 13. The Barcelona circuit is known for tire wear, and Red Bull put Max on a 3-stop strategy when most teams were planning on a 2-stop. Max was looking certain for third place until Kimi Antonelli's Mercedes engine gave out with just over 10 laps to go bringing out the safety car. All of the front runners went to the pits to change tires, but Max only had a set of the slower hard tires available. At the restart, Max's car nearly went sideways, allowing Charles Leclerc to pass. Max then went off-track as George tried to pass, but came out ahead. His team told Max to give the place back to George. Max wasn't happy about the instruction and appeared to deliberately hit George when it looked like he was letting him through. That earned Max a 10-second penalty and three points on his licence (he's now only one point away from a one race ban!). At the end, it was McLaren first and second with Oscar ahead of Lando. Charles got his second podium in a row with George in fourth. Nico Hulkenberg in his Kick Sauber surprised a lot of people by passing Lewis near the end to finish fifth. Max actually crossed the line in fifth, but his penalty pushed him back to 10th. In ninth, former World Champion Fernando Alonso was cheered by his home crowd as he scored his first points of the season. You can see the highlights here. Oscar is now 10 points ahead of Lando in the drivers' championship. In the constructors championship, McLaren have over double the points of their nearest rivals, Ferrari, who in-turn moved ahead of Mercedes today. It's two weeks until the next race in Canada.

I can't pick my favorites, but thats because I suck at picking favs. I like those songs too but I also kinda dig "I Need Someone to Miss" it's very sweet

Apologies for the lateness of my F1 review - I've had a busy week! Here's what happened at last weekend's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola, Italy. The McLarens looked to have the pace all through the three free practice sessions, but could only manage first and fourth on the grid (Oscar Piastri ahead of Lando Norris). They were split by the Red Bull of Max Verstappen and the Mercedes of George Russell. Neither Ferrari made it into the top 10, which disappointed their fans so close to their factory. The other Mercedes driver, 18-year-old rookie Kimi Antonelli, grew up near the track and had invited many friends and family to the race, but could only qualify 13th. Oscar made a good start, but Max got around him almost immediately. Lando had to wait until lap 11 to pass George and set off after his team mate. Oscar pitted early, and then Lando pitted just before Esteban Ocon's car pulled off to retire from the race, bringing out a virtual safety car. That gave Max and many others an easy pit stop and shook up the order. Lewis Hamilton, who'd been stuck behind Kimi since the start, finally managed to pass him on lap 34, and continued to make progress through the field. Sadly for his local fans, Kimi had to retire on lap 46. That brought out a full safety car which allowed for more easy pit stops for some. Max held the lead at the restart and went on to win the race. Behind him, Lando and Lewis each overtook their team mates on track. Charles Leclerc briefly passed Alex Albon, but his team told him to give the place back to avoid a penalty as he pushed Alex off the road to make the move. At the flag, the top 10 were: 1 Max Verstappen 2 Lando Norris 3 Oscar Piastri 4 Lewis Hamilton 5 Alexander Albon 6 Charles Leclerc 7 George Russell 8 Carlos Sainz Jnr 9 Isack Hadjar 10 Yuki Tsunoda Lewis said it was the first time he felt at home in the Ferrari after joining the team at the start of the season. You can see the race highlights here. This weekend we're off to the historic Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo.

You can straighten the curves but I can flatten the hills with this souped up truck. Speaking of which, we went out for ice cream tonight and on the way down were listening to a classic country station and they played the Dukes theme. I was riding on a cloud....smiled the whole song!

I don't think Hoss is human. I think think he's artificial intelligence. No human could be that smart.

Speaking of birthdays, y’all I just turned 23 today! (April 12th), it was a fun day. Spent time with family, had an evening drink at my local Boars Nest. A man couldn’t be happier! - Tom Duke
