When I first met Rick, it was in the 90's, so the WWW was in its infancy. When I told him about HazzardNet's predecessor (the Hazzard County Sheriff's Department on Prodigy), he was excited there was a community of fans online still discussing and enjoying the show. He told me he'd be right back and when he returned, he handed me an enormous folder of 8x10s, several of them signed. That was very generous of him. I still have them packed away from the move, but when I find them (someday), I will scan them in and put them on the site. When I mentioned where I worked at the time, we had a connection there and he told me some amazing stories. We just had an awesome conversation. He was very personable and gracious. At the Dukesfest in '01, I got to do an impromptu square dance with him and Jimmie. Good times. I would've liked to have gotten to know him better, but my health and work situations over the years didn't permit me to get to events as much as I'd have liked.

This is it 100%. He had it open on valentines day and I drove my charger by there and hung out for awhile. Lots of good folks that I personally know came by. It's a really neat place

Well done, Skipper. I also remembered the scene but not the episode. Watching the scene again, I remembered that it slightly annoyed me. When Boss reveals his string of dollar signs, every other one should be mirrored if they were cut out of a single piece of paper, but they all face the same way.

Happy Halloween guys!! unfortunately, I come from a family who don't celebrate things much outside Christmas so I'm not doing anything, but my mom bought me some candy last week (which is already almost gone) and I have a cool halloween outfit on Red Dead Redemption Online! Might brave up and watch some horror movies tonight...not sure

Wow. You guys are awesome. I feel like a chooch. I made a post 5 years ago and y’all responded and I ghosted you. So, my wife planned a surprise trip to Covington, GA with the fam. Got To visit the jump sites from the first 5 episodes, meet some other cool Dukes fans AND John Schneider happened to be in town after a convention in Atlanta. Talk about an amazing day! Then, hit Cooters Garage in Pigeon Forge, TN a couple days later. Anyway, I’m totally geeking out on all things Dukes again and looking forward to checking out the forums here! I still love your artwork recreations, Hoss!

I know it's probably a bit different since instead of mentioning the Dukes it was actually made for the TV movie from 2007 (I know) but the song Duke Boys Swingin' with John Anderson and Cowboy Troy is a really good song. Cowboy Troy's bit actually describes the show perfectly.

I missed that, but that is chilling. Probably something everyone should consider about life.

Definitely a shocker. So sad to hear that his wife, kids and family have lost him and that millions of his fans will never see him race again. ABC News showed a snippet of his interview after his last race where he said each win was special because you never know when it will be your last. Chilling.

Keeping his attention on the race, Garrett refuses to fall into everyone's competitive talk and pushes the pedal down farther and a hint of a smile crosses his face at feeling the great power of the engine. Passing Jesse, he gives him a slight respectful nod, before speeding up front. (Sorry y'all I've been away from my computer a bit.)

I’m over a month late to this but I just made my second visit to cooters in Luray on May 1st. I was passing through anyway so it was a perfect stop to eat and rest. It was my first time trying the restaurant but it was amazing. Unfortunately all the events were happening at the Nashville location but it’s always an awesome visit. I’m exhausted as well we did 3,000 miles.

To be honest, I'm not much of a drinker, and if I have a pint it's likely to be lager or maybe ale. I don't dislike Guinness, and it does taste different here, but I can't remember the last time I had one. My friend likes the 0.0 alcohol-free Guinness which I might try sometime since I usually have my car with me.

While I'm on Irish artists, I couldn't ignore Thin Lizzy. This song was written by the band's frontman Phil Lynott and guitarist Gary Moore about Lynott's newborn daughter. Phil died when I was 15, but I did get to see Limehouse Lizzy, the best known Thin Lizzy tribute act, about 25 years ago. Thin Lizzy - Sarah

Well I just got back from a visit to the best little spot in our county, my local Boars Nest. Awfully quiet for a Sunday though.

Well, I got laid off due to a client bankruptcy and the tech sector job market is pretty terrible right now. Gotta make some money and keep HazzardNet running somehow.

I obviously hear so many US voices that I don't really notice the difference in pronunciation with the name George. I saw some short videos yesterday of young Americans returning to the US after brief visits to Europe, and the most important thing they could find to say was that in "The Land of the Free" they could remove the caps from their soda bottles. For the last couple of years our plastic soda and water bottles have had caps which remain tethered to the bottles so the whole lot can get recycled. In Ireland we also pay a deposit on each bottle (15c or 25c depending on size) which we get back when they are returned to a store for recycling. The caps can still be separated easily if it's really too much to deal with, but you get used to them pretty quickly. I find it particularly odd that this should be such an issue for young Americans since when I visited the US in the early 80s you guys had soda cans with ring pulls which stayed attached while on our cans they were still separate and were often just thrown away! This video is now two years old, but the comparison of food prices and availability is still valid. The lady in the video spends six months of the year in the UK and six months in Texas, and the comparison is between Tesco in the UK and Kroger in the US.

I play this, it has Online and Story mode, and story mode takes place in 1899 and is about an outlaw gang at the end of the wild west trying to navigate the new world and its SAD. I've watched grown men cry over it. Online mode takes place a few years before story mode starts, and it also has Red Dead Redemption 1 which takes place in the early 1900s but I dont have that yet I've also recently started playing this older PS1 (?) game on my laptop called Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. I downloaded it cause Cole Hauser was in it (love that guy), BUT HE WAS ONLY IN THE FIRST SCENE, I'm so upset. It's based on a movie called "Pitch Black" from 2000(?) and I think there's a sequel but Cole isn't in it, so I don't care to watch it Oh and sometimes I play a Harry Potter game but thats only if my bf is online and we're both bored of RDO and He wants me to play Fortnite so I might give it a try

Skyrim is a medieval style game where you get to slay dragons and go on many quests. You also accumulate money and can buy houses in different cities. You can even get married. Non of the women you can marry are as pretty as Emma Tisdale though.

I don't tailgate even when the driver in front is going well under the speed limit. There's just not enough time to react if anything happens. I have also used the slowing down tactic when I've been tailgated.

I don't think there was a hawk. Rosco just needed an excuse to fire the gun while pretending to be a "numb-head". It was in 'A Baby for the Dukes'.

Well spotted, Webb. You seem to have a slightly wider frame than I do as my copy only extends to the lamp. Jimmie was probably meant to stop a foot or two further back when then set up the shot. There are a few other scenes in this episode that were obviously filmed in a studio. I can see a corner in the scenery in one shot, but no edges like you spotted. I noticed something else in the Boar's Nest scene. When Bo sneaks into the back of Rosco's patrol car, the driver's seat is all the way back, so there's hardly room for Bo to get his legs in. We can see the seat in this position as Rosco drives off, but we can't see Bo. When we do see Bo, he's got his whole body between the front and rear seats, so the driver's seat must be about six inches forward. I'm sure Rosco would notice that much movement - I know I would!

Jesse looks at Skipper "What in tarnation are you lookin' so glum about Skipper? You came in third place in one of the biggest races these here parts has to offer. And you did it pulling a yacht! Only a first class wheel man could have pulled that off. Not only that but you beat Emmer here. You know how fast she is on that there dirt bike." Emma responded quickly. "I'm sorry Skipper. I hate to be the one to burst your bubble but I could have passed you anytime I wanted. I just liked staying beside Jesse. He sets my heart on fast idle."

Garrett watches back from afar at everyone's emotions. "Well y'all," he finally says looking back at his car and back at them, "once I get this tire fixed, I'm off to The Boar's Nest. First round is on me if anyone wants to join." With that, he turns around and walks back to his car where he pulls out a spare tire and his equipment out from the trunk.

Jesse doesn't look too happy. "I'm gittin' too old for Hobie's Moonshine race. There ain't no way I'm doing this next year. It's just too chaotic and too dangerous!" After he walked away everybody smiled. Miz Tisdale laughed. "He says that every year after the race. Don't worry folks, he'll be back. Right now his pride is just hurt that I beat him."

Hobie slides in directly after and looks around wondering what happened to Meadow! He's glad everybody made it safely but his concern over Meadow ........wait! There she is! She just pulled in! ( He was worried! )

The ages of the characters are never revealed (except for Abraham Lincoln Hogg by his driver's licence, and therefore his twin brother, Boss), but the subject has been discussed a few times before. Here are three threads to get you started: Ages of dukes I have a question??? What were the real ages of cast? Anyone know? Aside from the flashback episodes ('Go West, Young Dukes' and 'Happy Birthday, General Lee'), and the shown-out-of-order season 2 episodes, I think Dukes ran chronologically, although not many storylines crossed episodes or seasons. An example of this is T.C. Rogers becoming Supervisory Administrator of Hazzard County in 'People's Choice' (S2E11), but then she was never mentioned again. Of course, the 2005/2007 movies completely ignored the canon of the TV series, but that's another story!
