My people are from county Down , Northern Ireland and so we have ppl in our family and friends who are Irish that celebrate it!   

 

* This  was the moment I heard Rosco say Boss was about  to be cut down in the prime of his beef! ( Pork!....Enos)  Hush! ( Rosco).....I've always thought this was funny! ......prime of his beef! LOL!

So far I've only had a few brief visits to Co. Cork, but I still haven't made it up to Co. Donegal (it's at least a 4-hour, 200 mile drive which as yet I haven't felt tempted take).

What part of England are you from? Ozzie is from Birmingham I believe. The Birmingham I know about is below me....Birmingham Alabama!

I was born in the south-west, but grew up just outside London, about 100 miles from Birmingham. I don't remember visiting Birmingham for anything other than shows at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC).

I just went through Donegal today. It's a place along the Pennsylvania Turnpike.  Probably named after your ancestors home.

It's kind of amusing. Whenever dad would talk about our Irish roots, he'd mention County Cork. Turns out that his ancestors living in County Cork were mostly Scottish. 🤣

I find it astounding that I can't give plants away for one reason, people would have to dig them up. New owners are finally taking possession of a house I mowed last year and they are going to redo the landscaping and what I don't take myself will be going into a dumpster. Keep hearing from people yeah I want free plants cool, oh I have to dig them up nevermind. Your going to have to dig a hole anyway if you buy the same plant from a nursery. It's maddening. Some of the plants go for about $30 and garden stores and nursery's.

Those are the " Wipe My A** People. They want you to feed them breathe for them etc.  My wife and her bunch are like that!

Sad but true ain’t it? There’s just some people out there in this world that you can’t satisfy. I reckon somehow it’s better that way, just can’t be everyone’s cup of tea

I just find it funny they would rather buy a similar plant instead of putting in a few minutes of sweaty work. I'm pretty much done with it. I'd love to save the rose of Sharons but nobody wants them so I guess they go in the dumpster. I've had my fill of dealing with the house and people. Just glad the new owners have a lawnmower and will be mowing it themselves.
