February 9, 200521 yr While whatching the season 2 DVD I noticed that Rosco is replaced in a few of the episodes. I was just wondering the real reason why James Best was not in those episodes. Anyone know?

February 23, 200521 yr That, and then they got a trailer, which IIRC, they kept for a brief time, and then took away again and Best went off, ostensibly for good, and he said something to the effect of that the was "leaving and going back to the Florida swamps and there's no one in California with the intestinal fortitude to come get me" and so they finally got something decent I believe, and so Best came back.
February 26, 200521 yr there was Clifton James, Dick Sargent(if James Best would left the show for good he would made a good Replacement) and James Hampton.
February 26, 200521 yr You forgot about Jeff Altman, he played Hughie Hogg, temporary sheriff in 'Arrest Jesse Duke'. They were all good replacements but with different personalities. Buster Moon liked all the pretty piggies.

They felt like they were longer than all the other episodes to me! I still liked them, but I LOVED the episodes that do have Rosco in them!
