Garrett Duke
Talking about Chase Elliott he has won the Most Popular Driver of the Year award...fifth time in a row. ( I may or may not have voted for Chase to be the Most Popular Driver for the award...LOL.) Which means that Dale Earnhardt Jr has been retired for five years now since he always won that award before retiring. LOL. Garrett Duke
Wow Spike...look at you outdoing me. Thank you for all the information and for the kind welcome back. NASCAR really can't get here soon enough. I am excited to have Jimmie back. Though sad it's for a different team and a different number and a limited amount of races. I'm going to be so confused on who to go for. I've been all team Hendrick since day one of my fandom. But I am happy to have him back any way I can. I miss the old days of Gordon and Johnson on the track every race going for the championship. As much as I like Chase...it's not the same as it was. I really wish NASCAR would stop putting their hand into the racing and let them race as they use to. But no one asked me...LOL. They also upped the number of drivers in the Clash race to 27 cars. I also just saw that the King himself, Richard Petty, will ride in the the Rose Parade! Sorry I am slacking on my part of the news. I am hibernating at my parents house until I get water. I'm just at my apartment to check things out so I thought I'd hop on for a bit. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. HossC
Formula 1 has announced a 24-race season for 2023, but this may be reduced to 23 races if a replacement isn't found for the cancelled Chinese Grand Prix in April. The season starts on the weekend of the 3rd to 5th of March with the Bahrain Grand Prix, and includes the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix in mid-November (giving three races in the US). The full schedule can be found here. Garrett Duke

Assuming that you're talking F1, I still want to see Lewis Hamilton get a record-breaking 8th world championship. Having said that, it won't be easy even with a car which finished the season much more competitive than it started, because he was beaten last year by his young team mate, George Russell. George is only 24, and looks every bit a future world champion. Garrett Duke

It was cancelled at the start of December due to ongoing Covid restrictions. This was before China's recent relaxation of its very strict Covid policies, but I doubt that it will be enough to get the race reinstated this close to the event.
