RogerDuke Posted July 4 Posted July 4 I only had NBC my entire childhood so missed a lot of shows. When I was 19 and Dukes came out I would go to my grandparents to watch it. They could afford a nicer antenna and really tall pole for it. Tom Duke and Skipper Duke 2 Quote
Tom Duke Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago https://youtu.be/YdGa6TBwWgQ?feature=shared I grew up on this classic as a kid, from a very young age. Although some of you may remember it aired under a different name in America on PBS I only discovered Dukes when my adoptive dad came into the scene lol. Funny, my 2 childhood favourites both wore Number One Skipper Duke 1 Quote
HossC Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I've never heard of Shining Time Station. Before it became Thomas and Friends, it was simply The Railway Stories by the Rev. W. Awdry, and that's what I grew up with. Although I know that Ringo Starr narrated Thomas and Friends when it changed its name and came to TV, I haven't seen many of those episodes. I used to have LPs with the stories read by British TV presenter Johnny Morris. He was best known for presenting a zoological kid's TV show called 'Animal Magic'. He'd narrate it and do voices for the animals. Quote
