  1. In which Knight Rider episode was the Duke farm blown up?
  2. Mark, is this promotion for the Knight Rider episode titled "Give Me Liberty ... or Give Me Death"? This is the episode where Michael Knight and KITT enter a cross country alternative fuel race and one of the cars is a 1969 Orange Dodge Charger that's powered by moonshine.
  3. Hi Mark, This is a remarkable project! It looks like screen shots in some of the pictures you posted. Excellent work and attention to detail on this. I am also a model builder and build Sci-Fi and Real Space models. I'll be starting an MPC 1/25 General Lee build soon with some improvements to the kit. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this project.
  4. Congratulations Mark!
  5. Mark, That's great that you got to visit and eat in 'Hazzard County'. Do you have more pictures to post?
  6. Over the years I've seen a few 'Orange Clunker Cars'. They weren't all 1969's. Back in the 1980's a guy in the neighborhood had a mint '68 R/T with a 440. It was painted blue with the black inserts on the hood like the one in the original post above. The hood was fiberglass and had a scoop on it. He took me for a drive and the car rode like new. I was also in a '70 back then too. Right now a few blocks from where I live, there's a Light Gold '68 Charger that's parked on the street. It has a white interior and an R/T emblem but I checked the VIN number and it's not an R/T. The car is in bad shape and rusted and could use a restoration.
  7. Happy be-lated Birthday James! You will always be missed.
  8. BOSS HOGG!!! Well I could say Boss and Rosco since they are a team!
  9. Back when I was a kid I tried watching the first Coy and Vance episode when it first aired and then stopped watching the show until Bo and Luke returned. What can I say, I was a kid and didn't know better. I couldn't accept anyone other than Bo and Luke. Apparently the General Lee wasn't the star of the show after all, as I really missed Bo and Luke and it seemed as if they were gone for years. In later years when the show went into syndication I managed to watch some of the Coy and Vance episodes and wasn't quite as bothered by their characters. Well I had grown up a bit. I recently purchased the 2 seasons on DVD I was missing, seasons 3 and 5. My wife and I are now watching season 5 and have one more complete Coy and Vance episode to go until Bo and Luke's return. After the first couple of Coy and Vance episodes we noticed that the actors, Byron Cherry and Christopher Mayer, seemed to be more relaxed in their roles. It must have been really hard for Byron and Christopher to not only fill John and Tom's shoes but have to copy them as well. As said above, Byron and Christopher helped save the Dukes from cancellation and without them there would have only been 4 seasons. I admit back when the show first aired I was very happy that Bo and Luke returned and after I finish watching the last Coy and Vance episode on DVD I'll be happy to see Bo and Luke return. Bo and Luke were the original Duke boys and still the best. However my wife and I are really enjoying the Coy and Vance episodes and realize the actors didn't have it easy back then. It was a thankless job Byron and Christopher had and they did it well. While Bo and Luke will always be THE Duke boys, Coy and Vance are a part of the shows history. I'll continue to re-watch all the episodes over and over, including the Coy and Vance episodes. It still a shame though that Coy and Vance left so early in Bo and Luke's return episode. It would have been nice to see all 4 Duke boys 'fight the system' together or at least have Coy and Vance return in a future episode.
  10. Is this your car? Is this a screen used Generel Lee? If so I guess this proves that there was at least one 1970 Charger used on the TV show.
  11. Your wife makes you a birthday cake that says 'Happy Birthday Michael and Boss Hogg'! I'm very lucky to share the same birthday as Sorrell Booke.
  12. Awesome! I love the ghost numbers, nice and subtle.
  13. The General Lee!
  14. Hi Andrew, welcome to Hazzard Net! I'm also a model builder and I've had some of my work featured in issues 36 and 38 of Sci Fi & Fantasy Modeller . I'm also a member on ARC and go by the user name 'crowe-t' over there. I'll check out your Uncle Jesse's Ford pickup build there.
  15. RogerDuke - I'm from Howard Beach, Queens, NY. Roth Potter - I do have 2 of the Revell 1969 Dodge Chargers in the stash. However for this build I'll be using a newer issue MPC General Lee kit from Round 2. It has the correct rear window. I have a correct 1969 hood from an MPC Charger 500 kit that will replace the incorrect 1970 hood that comes in the GL kit. I also have a 440 which will replace the kit's Hemi engine. The wheels from either the AMT Ecklers Corvette or the AMT 1969 Riviera kit are better than the MPC GL wheels. I have a set of those for this build as well. A friend also made me much more accurate decals with a correctly sized flag for the roof. I really want to see what I can do to modify the MPC kit before I start one of my Revell GL builds. I'll keep you all posted on the progress as soon as I get started. Thanks guys for the warm welcome! I'm happy to be among friends.
  16. This is a favorite of mine! It has all the elements of a great episode, Boss' scam, trying to frame the Dukes... It then ends on a real warm note when Boss shows up at the Dukes with the gifts and they welcome him with open arms. A definite must see show at Christmas time.
  17. I like the more realistic and grittier feel of the Georgia episodes. Although some of my favorites were California episodes. I would have liked to show to have retained the feel of the Georgia episodes and remained there but as stated above it probably wouldn't have been on the air as long.
  18. Hi Keith, I'm new here and just found this thread. You have a beautiful 1969 Charger! I hope too see some more posts with information on your Charger.
  19. Hi everyone, My name is Mike, live in NY and I'm a big Dukes Of Hazzard fan and recently came upon this forum. I've been watching the DOH since it first aired back in 1979. I have all 7 seasons on DVD as well as the 2 TV reunion movies and watch the show often. One of my hobbies is building model kits so I will be starting a General Lee model build soon and will post it here at the forum. As you can see from my user name I'm a big fan of Boss Hogg. I'm happy to be a member here and hope to make some friends with you all. Mike aka 'Boss JD Hogg'
  20. How true this is! It's sad that a great wholesome show like the Dukes OF Hazzard is under the chopping block.
  21. This is awesome! Great job. Any updates?
  22. This is a great thread! I always liked how the Boars Nest interior looked in the early California episodes which made it resemble the Goorgia episodes Boars Nest. It had the columns inside, an actual ceiling and the main bar room was wider than the later episodes. It was also dimly lit which made it match the 'Georgia' episodes Boars Nest a bit closer.
