As if the coronavirus isn't enough to deal with, our neighbor figures his buddy won't go to jail due to the virus so he brought him home to stay for a while. To top it off the jack tried talking to me last night like he didn't threaten me and my wife last year. I just shook my head and walked back into our apartment. So pissed off that I didn't sleep at all last night. If only the car repairs didn't wipe out our savings last year we would have moved. Now we have 3+ months of this BS to deal with again till our lease is up. Getting a doorbell camera this weekend that way we'll have video evidence if he starts with us this time.

Yesterday was the last nice warm day here at least until next week. Even have a chance for snow Friday. Cleaned the flower bed out yesterday and the dead cactus out of the cactus patch.

Yeah I wouldn't be shocked if there was a caution within the first 5 laps. Matt Kenseth and Ryan Newman both got waivers to compete for the chase this year if Nascar can get a full schedule in.

At least it starts with Darlington and not one of the more boring 1.5 milers so the racing should be exciting. What will be interesting is there will be no practice sessions or qualifying, first laps run will be racing laps.

Racing is returning May 17th https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/04/30/nascar-return-darlington-raceway-cup-series/ . Hopefully this works out well so we can see some more racing this year.

Since the employee at the local Ace hardware didn't feel like going to the back to find the router bit set they had on sale yesterday I lucked out at a Lowe's across town and bought a bigger set that Lowe's had on clearance this morning. I usually try to buy from the small business owned hardware stores instead of the big box stores but the service at the big box store turned out to be better this time. Ended up getting a 30 bit set for only double what I was going to pay for a 5 bit set and even though they're different brands they're owned by the same company so the quality should be similar. The local news media sure got people riled up and panic buying again, about the meat shortage this time. Seen people walking out from local grocery stores with cart loads of meat, bacon, sausage etc... small local butcher shops should be able to catch a break and get some more business since they use farmers for the meat source instead of large processing plants.

Hope y'all enjoyed the cheap gas, looks like the price fixing is on. Some local stations jumped prices 50 cents overnight, one station already back up to $1.89/gal for regular. I assume it's because some places will be reopening tomorrow.

1st Gen Cougars were bad, especially the Cobra jet and boss 429 powered ones. Too bad they shifted it to the heavier Thunderbird chassis in 1974.

Thanks for posting the link Hoss, using a smartphone to get online has it's limitations, especially the small screen. The governor waffled on his mandatory masks rule yesterday , says now nobody will be forced to wear them but he recommends you do. Typical inflatable wailing arm tube man politician. Just when we needed the local farmers markets to open all but one has had the opening days postponed until June. Just the main one downtown is open now, only issue is you got to get there early before the trouble makers wake up and decide to choose your car to break into. The only way I see stick and ball sports playing is to empty stadiums until a vaccine is readily available. MLB I think was mulling the idea to play the season in the small spring training fields.

They don't call it sim racing for nothing. You can run out of fuel, blow a worn tire blow the motor etc... Looks like real Nascar racing will start back up May 17th https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/04/28/roy-cooper-nascars-may-schedule-evolving-nc-approves-coke-600-race/ though Nascar hasn't officially confirmed anything but supposedly they sent teams and tracks a revised race schedule.

I'm making a couple of masks for me and my wife since I'm the better sew-er. My cousin made a bunch of masks for the family but she sewed the ties in the middle instead of the corners so the masks aren't very effective in my opinion. Joann fabrics has a tutorial on their website that is if you can even find fabric, that stuff is selling like crazy here now.

That's one of my favorite episodes. Might pop that in after I'm done with season 4.

Your lucky Hoss, I doubt Dukes will be back on tv on any channel here in the 'States any time soon now that the Kyle Larson debacle has brought the "flag" back to mainstream media and social media's attention again. We have a couple of action channels that are available via antenna that show 70's and 80's tv shows and I was hoping that one of them would pick up the dukes but I doubt that will happen now. Yet the funny thing is the "flag" is in some '60s tv shows such as Beverly Hillbillies but not a word is mentioned about that show being racist, they don't even blur it out when it's in the background yet one channel will blur out women in swimsuits on B.H. .

Planted lettuce and carrots in pots on the patio yesterday. Said on the back of the seed pack they should be ready to eat mid June.

Well the Ohio governor released Ohio's plan to re-open. Businesses that were forced closed can reopen at 50% fire code capacity. Stores that have been opened during the shutdown will have to even further limit customer capacity to 50% fire code. Restaurants will still be limited to takeout or delivery till further notice. Any venue that allows crowds to gather such as sports games or racing or music concerts will still be closed till further notice. So it looks like no racing or sports or concerts in Ohio at least until June. Didn't mention malls but I assume indoor malls will still be forced to stay closed. Oh and everyone will have to wear a mask indoors except in your own home, that will be interesting to see as there is still about I'd say 20% of the people around here still not wearing any kind of mask in stores.

I get a kick out of Clint Bowyer, he is so funny, the comments he makes while virtual racing are hilarious. Sunday he was leading and blew his motor .

Matt Kenseth is coming out of retirement for a second time, this time to drive the #42 CGR Chevy https://www.yahoo.com/news/matt-kenseth-back-nascar-larson-153727129.html . Wow who'd of thunk Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch would be teammates again 15 years later.

Jeff Gordon is getting back behind the wheel today, albeit a virtual cockpit, he'll be racing in today's virtual Talladega race so check your local TV listings. I think it starts around noon or 1pm.

You gone and done it. I popped in Season 4 Disc 1 to watch while eating breakfast. Watched episode 2 Double Dukes. Noticed a lot of things in the background at the boars nest I never noticed before. In Boss's office there's a Paul Baxley sign with a phone Number. Also listened to the commentary for a few minutes, Tom Wopat sure doesn't seem like he liked doing them as much as Cathy or John did. ...Done hijacking your thread buddy... now back to season 2...

Since it's supposed to rain today I cleaned out the garden at my dad's yesterday even though it was lightly snowing off and on with a few bouts of sleet/hail. Surprised to find the strawberry plant still alive under all the leaves, it even spread and created a second plant. Just got to find something to cover them up from the birds and still let the bees in to pollinate. Also found half dozen more rose of sharon starters from where I moved a 6 foot bush last year. Thought I dug all of them up but I guess I missed a few. We finished binge watching Star Trek Picard season the other night. It was sort of a darker The Next Generation series but if you're a fan of TNG than it will feel familiar. The finale was the best episode and finally gave some closure to the Nemesis movie. I think CBS all Access is still doing the free month trial till the end of this month so you still have some time to sign up for a free month. They also have some great old tv shows on the streaming service as well.
