  1. Your lucky Hoss, I doubt Dukes will be back on tv on any channel here in the 'States any time soon now that the Kyle Larson debacle has brought the "flag" back to mainstream media and social media's attention again. We have a couple of action channels that are available via antenna that show 70's and 80's tv shows and I was hoping that one of them would pick up the dukes but I doubt that will happen now. Yet the funny thing is the "flag" is in some '60s tv shows such as Beverly Hillbillies but not a word is mentioned about that show being racist, they don't even blur it out when it's in the background yet one channel will blur out women in swimsuits on B.H. .
  2. Planted lettuce and carrots in pots on the patio yesterday. Said on the back of the seed pack they should be ready to eat mid June.
  3. Well the Ohio governor released Ohio's plan to re-open. Businesses that were forced closed can reopen at 50% fire code capacity. Stores that have been opened during the shutdown will have to even further limit customer capacity to 50% fire code. Restaurants will still be limited to takeout or delivery till further notice. Any venue that allows crowds to gather such as sports games or racing or music concerts will still be closed till further notice. So it looks like no racing or sports or concerts in Ohio at least until June. Didn't mention malls but I assume indoor malls will still be forced to stay closed. Oh and everyone will have to wear a mask indoors except in your own home, that will be interesting to see as there is still about I'd say 20% of the people around here still not wearing any kind of mask in stores.

I get a kick out of Clint Bowyer, he is so funny, the comments he makes while virtual racing are hilarious. Sunday he was leading and blew his motor .

Matt Kenseth is coming out of retirement for a second time, this time to drive the #42 CGR Chevy https://www.yahoo.com/news/matt-kenseth-back-nascar-larson-153727129.html . Wow who'd of thunk Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch would be teammates again 15 years later.

Jeff Gordon is getting back behind the wheel today, albeit a virtual cockpit, he'll be racing in today's virtual Talladega race so check your local TV listings. I think it starts around noon or 1pm.
  7. You gone and done it. I popped in Season 4 Disc 1 to watch while eating breakfast. Watched episode 2 Double Dukes. Noticed a lot of things in the background at the boars nest I never noticed before. In Boss's office there's a Paul Baxley sign with a phone Number. Also listened to the commentary for a few minutes, Tom Wopat sure doesn't seem like he liked doing them as much as Cathy or John did. ...Done hijacking your thread buddy... now back to season 2...

  9. Since it's supposed to rain today I cleaned out the garden at my dad's yesterday even though it was lightly snowing off and on with a few bouts of sleet/hail. Surprised to find the strawberry plant still alive under all the leaves, it even spread and created a second plant. Just got to find something to cover them up from the birds and still let the bees in to pollinate. Also found half dozen more rose of sharon starters from where I moved a 6 foot bush last year. Thought I dug all of them up but I guess I missed a few. We finished binge watching Star Trek Picard season the other night. It was sort of a darker The Next Generation series but if you're a fan of TNG than it will feel familiar. The finale was the best episode and finally gave some closure to the Nemesis movie. I think CBS all Access is still doing the free month trial till the end of this month so you still have some time to sign up for a free month. They also have some great old tv shows on the streaming service as well.

  11. Yes that is James, probably one of his old head shots that actors have done to send out for roles.
  12. My wife said something similar too when I told her about it when I got home Sunday. My wife also said I was way too nice about it. But with this coronavirus thing going on I'll take what I can get $$$.
  13. I seen a shirt at Walmart that morning that said something like "I used to be a people person till I met you" or something like that . I thought about going back to Walmart and buying that shirt and wearing it when I mow her lawn next time hahaha. Apparently she felt guilty as she called yesterday and apologized.
  14. I never had a cell phone till I was forced to get one for this one delivery job I had 20 years ago. They come in handy in an emergency though whether it be a vehicle accident or break down. If anything get one of those cheap prepaid plan flip phone ones. My dad has one of those with TracFone and has a year's worth of minutes or whatever.
  15. Some people can never be pleased. Since we got a few inches of snow Friday and it didn't all melt off till Saturday I didn't get to mowing till yesterday. One dang client has been hounding me for the past week even though I repeatedly told her I'd get to it this past weekend. Should've just mowed her dang lawn last weekend and let the 4 days of frost we had last week do a number on her lawn. The rest of my clients were more than happy to wait. Then when I got done with her lawn yesterday she comes tearing out her door saying I didn't even mow it. I guess I was just getting an hour's worth of exercise in then . Explained to her that the dandelions she seen where the ones that haven't grown as tall as the grass yet. Though I felt like telling her good luck finding someone else to mow her lawn and trim her hedges for $20. Yesterday morning I stopped at the local Walmart and witnessed an argument between a guy and an employee. Apparently the guy didn't want to follow the rules and tried going in the out door instead of waiting in line. So that arguing went on I'm assuming for 5+ minutes as he was still arguing when I already got in the store and he was there before I got in line , if he would have just got in line like everyone else he would've been shopping already instead of still arguing lol. I assume they told him to leave since his pickup wasn't parked in the fire lane still when I left.
  16. I'd say stay off Facebook at least for now. You either get people that think it's a hoax, people that are taking it way too serious and chastising anybody that's not taking it as serious as them or people trying to make everybody laugh a little to brighten spirits .
  17. Ohio is mostly farmland country, there's only about 6 major metropolitan areas, maybe 7. Though before the coronavirus developers around here were buying up farmland like there was no tomorrow to build ugly drab "luxury" apartments, condo townhomes, single family home subdivisions. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't paint them all the same boring depressing gray color.
  18. Happy belated birthday
  19. Any of you notice that since the stay at home orders that it's harder to have a discussion without it going into the crapper either on forum boards or Facebook. I regularly check out about half a dozen forums and all but this one and car forum have become basically I'm right you're wrong you're a bleep childish fights lol. I feel for the moderators of those sites.
  20. For about 30 seconds yesterday evening it looked like a snow globe outside, the biggest fattest flakes fell from the sky and the sun was out behind the clouds so it really made it look pretty for that really short time. However tomorrow the forecast calls for up to 3 inches of snow, hope the meteorologists are wrong about that. Have lawns to mow Saturday and I'd rather not have to Jerry rig a snow shovel on the front of the mower .

Interesting... https://sports.yahoo.com/amphtml/ron-desantis-florida-gov-nascar-races-coronavirus-pandemic-235333044.html With Nascar tracks laying off and furloughing employees yesterday I wonder how feasible it would be for Nascar to at least get the Homestead race in. Since Virginia will be on lockdown till June 10th they could use Martinsville's date.

    Happy Easter

You're not missing much. Since it got bought by another company in 2017 the quality and quantity of the food and service have gone in the crapper. We used to go once every weekend for breakfast before the new company took over, after that happened we noticed the food wasn't as good as it used to be and we'd only stop there every once and a while if we got sent a really good coupon in the mail. This was the last straw for us though, not going back there ever again. Bob Evans must be spinning in his grave at what has become of his restaurants. Monday morning I went shopping for a small ham, struck out at Krogers but Meijer finally got a full shipment in and I bought one and made a proper easter dinner Monday night .
  23. I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet, Ohio's governor might not let any group functions happen this year.

Kyle Larson got fired for the N word during a mic check for an Iracing race https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/04/14/kyle-larson-fired-chip-ganassi-racing/ Seriously. I think this was blown way out of proportion especially considering probably 90% of the rap songs have that word in them. Of course he shouldn't have said it in the first place but to basically lose everything because of it is utter nonsense but then again this is the P.C. era where everything is offensive.

    Happy Easter

Well I'll never order from Bob Evans again for a holiday meal, think I'm done eating anything from their restaurants. Finally got the meal 3 hours after it was supposed to be ready. To top it off only got half the meal so I ate Arby's instead and let my dad and wife eat the Bob Evans meal. Bob Evans Facebook and Twitter are still getting blown up right now . I went back first thing this morning and got the rest of the meal since they didn't even bother calling me last night and still hadn't refunded the full price to my account. The manager today said she's got a lot of apologies to call in for the screw ups the crew made yesterday.
