There's a bounty out on Kyle Busch https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/02/22/kyle-busch-kevin-harvick-nascar-trucks-bounty/ News on Ryan Newman https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/02/23/ryan-newman-ross-chastain-steve-newmark-roush-fenway-racing-nascar-daytona/ https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/02/26/ryan-newman-roush-fenway-racing/
  2. Check out estatesales.net and put in your ZIP code. I've come across some of the items you mentioned at sales in my area and I wouldn't be surprised if you found a few in your area as well as some DoH memorabilia. Just a little advice be prepared to do some combat saleing, there are people that go to estate and garage sales that didn't have an Uncle Jessie to teach them manners when growing up. You will get pushed, shoved, stuff ripped out of your hands, your money stolen if you don't have a death grip on your wallet or purse etc... Some of the stories I could tell you... at one sale I almost got pushed down stairs by one impatient jackwagon. I've come across some rally neat vintage or antique items at sales though.
  3. Thank God that Ryan Newman is alive https://m.nascar.com/news-media/2020/02/17/statement-status-roush-fenway-racing-driver-ryan-newman/. Don't think anybody really deserves blame for that horrific wreck it's just a component of superspeedway racing. That was a huge shove Denny gave Ryan Blaney. I thought he was going to push Blaney right in to Newman they were going so fast. I think Nascar should go back to throwing the yellow flag out for last lap crashes again instead of letting the leaders race back to the checkered flag, at least at Daytona and Talladega. Denny doing donuts in the infield though was absolutely classless, and his excuse on Twitter... SMH. Dale Jr didn't do donuts when he won the Daytona race that Austin Dillon went into the catchfence. I won't be rooting for Denny anymore if the race win comes down to him or Kyle Busch and I really dislike Kyle Busch. If you want to see the wreck there's plenty of replays on YouTube and Twitter but even knowing he's alive seeing the wreck still puts a lump in my throat so be prepared if you haven't seen it yet. I can imagine Corey Lajoie was an emotional mess after that just like Ryan Blaney was in his post race interview.

  5. Yeah it would have been great for the Christmas episode. It seems we're going to get our winter's seasons worth of snow this month since most of December and January were rain. According to the one station we're already halfway there, and they said we could have significant snowfall with this next storm Wednesday night. Got 4 inches in one storm last Wed., another inch+ Thursday night and about 2+ inches yesterday before it turned over to rain.Figures I was just started thinking what plants to plant this Spring . Darndest thing about the tire on the wife's car, pressure hasn't gone down since I last filled it, didn't make it to the tire shop because the wife had to work and I had stuff to do that Saturday but for whatever reason the tire is holding air fine now . Still will probably get new tires this summer though as we're sick of dealing with all the trouble we've had with this set.

    Signs of Hazzard

That sucks Hoss. On the internet these days nothing is safe, there's always someone out there that would rather take your work and pass it off as theirs instead of doing it themselves.

Well the 2020 Nascar silly season has started with Kevin Harvick signing a 2 year contract extension with SHR https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/02/08/kevin-harvick-nascar-stewart-haas-racing/ Tony Stewart has a videogame coming out soon https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/02/05/tony-stewart-sprint-car-racing-nascar/ I hope next weeks Daytona 500 isn't like yesterdays Clash. What a demolition derby and a stupid joke of a finish.
  8. boring... I'm sure everybody had a boring job at one time.

Nascar shortening the final stage for some races https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/01/28/nascar-shortens-final-stage-for-several-cup-races/ Official Daniel Suarez to Gaunt Bros Racing https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/01/28/daniel-suarez-gaunt-brothers-racing-marty-gaunt/ and Silly Season Scorecard https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/01/28/daniel-suarez-silly-season-gaunt-brothers-nascar/
  11. Nope you're not the only one. This has been one lousy January. Made plans for every weekend this month only to have them go kablooey every weekend either because of weather or car troubles. Was gonna go to the movies Sunday but the mysterious coolant leak in my car finally became a bigger leak and one of the Good(for a)years on the wife's car was half empty. Mechanic should have my car fixed tomorrow and then we get the fun of going back to the tire shop Sat. morning with her car to see why the tire won't hold air. If we could afford too I'd buy a new set of tires, sick of dealing with the goodyears that are on it.

Daniel Suarez will be driving the Gaunt Bros Racing #96 Toyota for 2020 https://sports.yahoo.com/dropped-stewart-haas-driver-suarez-182053261.html Kyle Busch will be making his Sports car racing debut this weekend at the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona. He'll be driving the #14 Lexus RC F GT3. For the first time in a really long time the beginning and end will be broadcast on an OTA network so check your local NBC station's schedule. Coverage starts at 1:30pm eastern Saturday and will end on Sunday noon -2pm eastern on NBC, in between it will air on NBCSN and NBC Gold streaming service. Nascar Traditionalists ya better enjoy this season of Nascar as it looks like it will be the last with a manual transmission. For the 2021 next gen car it looks like they will be going with a sequential shifter, basically push forward for upper gears and backwards for lower gears. https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/01/16/nascar-next-gen-car-erik-jones-miami/
  13. If you have someone else change the oil in your vehicles make sure they know just how much to put in. My dad got an oil change back in late November at a nearby tire store since he had gotten a free oil change coupon from them when he had one of the tires fixed there. Well it turns out they put 2 quarts too much oil in his Cruze. 2 weeks ago it developed a misfire and of course my dad, Mr. Procrastinator, let it go till my wife got his brother involved after our weekend plans got derailed. Anyways my uncle had him take it to his mechanic and it needed new spark plugs because they were completely black from the over abundance of oil. Mechanic also did an oil change and fixed another thing that was related to a recent GM TSB bulletin. Hopefully there's no other issues that will pop up from that oil change. I think that 2nd free oil change coupon from that tire store will go unused lol. We got about 4-5 inches of snow from that same storm Roger, though the snow we got was the wet heavy kind before it turned over to sleet and then rain. That was a pain in the back to shovel, luckily just had to do 2 driveways this time. Just glad my winter coat is waterproof, the rest of me got soaked though from the rain and sleet. This weekend's weather forecast looks similar but the local tv meteorologists keep saying it's going to be mostly rain but that's what they said last week before the storm. Here's the Circle tv network website https://www.circleallaccess.com/
  14. After the job I did last week I have newfound respect for Disaster cleanup crews and ASPCA/Humane Society volunteers. That was the first and last time I will ever do a job like that unless it's for my own home. To top it off I just got paid the regular rate not double like I was expecting, but after getting chewed out for one of the other guys that was hired B.S. I just wanted my paycheck so I could get the heck out of that horror, didn't check the amount till I got home and that made me even madder. Last night was the first night that I actually slept more than 3-4 hours in a row since last Monday, got a full 8hrs. Every time I closed my eyes last week I was right back in that nightmare. I even took melatonin and zzzquill but that didn't work. Told my buddy don't ever bother call me for a special job like that again as I will not do it especially for that amount of money. Still can't get the smell out of my nose, every now and then a whiff of it pops in and I just spray air freshener till I smell that instead, I even febreezed the hell out of my car twice to make sure the smell is out of there. Don't know if the Dukes of Hazzard is going to be on MeTV soon but this morning during the commercial break on the Beverly Hillbillies they played the Dukes theme song with Bo's yeehaw and the sound of one of the General's jumps, unfortunately the video feed went black as that came on so I don't know if it was one of their ads for an upcoming classic show being added to the lineup or one of MeTV's online quizzes advertisement. I checked their website and social network sites but there's nothing on the Dukes. Circle network has been running old HeeHaw reruns a few times a day, I doubt they are the full episodes but it seems like they are sticking with the original shows commercial break schedule. Shows these days you are lucky to get 5 full minutes of entertainment between commercials but it seems they are airing about 15 minutes of HeeHaw before a commercial break. They also have the Jeff Foxworthy show on there.

Guess this means Cole Pearn definitely is not going to another Cup team https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/12/30/cole-pearn-reveals-post-nascar-plans/ And his replacement is...https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/12/19/breaking-news-james-small-named-martin-truex-jr-s-crew-chief/ Rip to a legend https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/12/20/nascar-hall-of-famer-junior-johnson-dies-at-88/
  17. I'm glad my wife and I got our flu shots this year, seems like everybody in my family got the flu or is catching it, knock on wood so far we've been feeling pretty good. Last week started out lousy, but Christmas was good and ended lousy. Monday I noticed a puddle under the car checked under the hood and noticed the coolant tank was low, either the hose going to the water pump or the water pump itself, unfortunately my mechanic headed out of town for a few days but hopefully he made it back over the weekend to fix it today. For Christmas I got a few blurays and dvd's, a Roku streaming dongle, and some clothes. I put a roast in the slow cooker for Christmas dinner and it came out delicious. The lousy end to the week was because of the neighbor and his buddy again , couldn't prove his buddy was there since our security camera is no longer up but good lord our apartment reeked like he was there. This weather is so crazy, local weather forecaster said this December was on of our hottest December's on record, most of the days were well above normal temps. And if not for the forecasted snowfall tomorrow would've been the least snowiest December on record, supposed to get 1-2 inches of snow tomorrow. Check your local listings there will be a new channel starting up Jan.1st called Circle. It's supposed to be a Country station with country music videos and concerts and reruns of HeeHaw and other various shows. Was thinking about shooting them an email about acquiring broadcast rights to air Dukes of Hazzard. You guys have a Happy New Year
  18. Went to the eye doctor a few weeks ago and well now I have to wear glasses. Guess I never noticed how bad my eyes were since it's been so gradual over time. When I first put them on it was like seeing the world in HD. Finally got the Christmas tree up but since we couldn't find the extension cord its not lit up this year, we'll probably find the dang cord after we take the tree down that's how it usually goes . Though we do have 2 lit up Christmas trees in front of our living room window. Back in October we found this Porch Christmas tree, wreath and garland set on sale at the local Ace Hardware store for 75% off so we set up the trees. They're battery powered which is a major plus as long as I don't forget to take the batteries out when I put them up. Was looking forward to a white Christmas but it looks like that's not gonna happen, one station is even saying we could hit 50 degrees on Christmas day. Did get half an inch this morning though so at least it looks kind of wintery at least for a while. Thanks for the offer Hobie, might take you up on it. Roger I always try and keep a cool head but sometimes the devil just wants to get out of me lol. My one cousin started a business and the wife and I have taken up part time gigs with her so after Christmas we'll be socking that money away in savings and try not too touch it unless we absolutely need to. Before all the madness this year we thought my mother in law and brother in law were nuts for moving way out into the country but now we're looking to find a home with some space between neighbors. That's about all that's been going on around here, been quiet with the neighbor besides him gloating about "winning" about our trail camera. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's guys. I know I'm looking forward to 2020, the next decade has got to be better than the 2010's have been.

Cole Pearn shocks Nascar world by retiring from Crew Chief of JGR #19 Toyota https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/12/09/cole-pearn-resigns-as-martin-truex-jrs-crew-chief/ John Hunter Nemechek moves up to cup in the #38 Front Row Motorsports Ford https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/12/12/john-hunter-nemechek-joins-front-row-motorsports-2020-driver-lineup/ Brennan Poole moves up to Cup series in #15 Premium Motorsports team https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/12/11/brennan-poole-to-compete-full-time-for-premium-motorsports-in-cup-series/ Here's the up to date scorecard https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/12/12/nascar-silly-season-scorecard-front-row-motorsports-adds-john-hunter-nemechek/ Nascar Decade in Review Most Memorable Quotes https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/12/16/nascar-decade-in-review-most-memorable-quotes-of-the-2010s/ Some funny stuff Roger I've been a fan since I was about 4-5 years old. One of my earliest memories was watching Richard Petty win his 200th at the July 4th Daytona race in 1984 with my Grandpa who was a huge fan of Richard Petty's. There were some years where I'd just watch the major races such as Daytona, Talledega, Bristol and Darlington and others where I'd try and watch most races.
  20. I would if I could Roger but I had to take the camera down due to the neighbor. You know what really bugs me, we've complained for over a year to the manager about the neighbor and his buddy, other neighbors have complained about them and heck even the manager of the complex next door complained about these two yet not a dang thing was done. Yet that jackwagon complains one time and sicks his lawyer on management and we get a notice of violation. And to top it off manager went on to say those ring doorbell cameras are not allowed either. I felt like balling up that notice and walking into the office and telling the manager where he could shove it. All the years we've lived here we've been good renters and neighbors, always paid on time, cleaned up around our area, shoveled the walks in front of us if I was up before maintenance got here, even planted leftover flowers from flats I bought in front of vacant apartments, never a bad mark on our rental history here till now. as the Alice Cooper song goes No More Mr. Nice Guy. I'm done being a good neighbor and going out of my way cleaning or shoveling. If one of the neighbors slips and falls this winter and I witness it I will stand with them if they sue the company that owns the property. Can't wait till our lease is up next year! I'm even debating if I want to put the Christmas tree up this year, got it out of storage the other day but I don't even feel like putting it up anymore. At least it was nice seeing a sunrise this morning, not seeing one of those in over a week is depressing.
