Lousy end to a lousy week. Had to put down our oldest cat today, just one month shy of 19 years old. He lost control of his faculties overnight. Even while drinking water he'd just start peeing uncontrollably.

To me season 3 will always be the best season of the series run even though Sonny Shroyer was only in one episode. So many really funny episodes and a few good emotional ones. I only wish they would have done a Thanksgiving episode to complete the trifecta of holiday episodes since season 3 had a Halloween one with the Hazzardville Horror and the Christmas episode The Great Santa Claus Chase.

He originally was supposed to end up at Hendrick Motorsports but at the time, 2010, they didn't have an open seat due to Mark Martin signing a contract extension thru 2011 and not enough sponsorship to run the 25 for a full time season so Penske made him an offer and he took it. Most of the trees in the neighborhood are maples or various species of pine trees. Thing I can't figure out is the maple in my dad's front yard which has one of its main branches completely dead didn't drop anything during the storm. Yet a few houses down the tree in that front yard lost a big limb which blocked part of the road for the night. Just one of those freak storms I guess. Get out and enjoy the water before next week's heat wave Roger.
-
Might know why the limb fell on my car. Neighbor helped us cut the limb into manageable chunks today. Anyways he was telling us he seen the storm the other night and remarked that he only seen tree limbs move like that in a tornado. That might explain why only certain trees in the neighborhood got damaged while others didn't even lose a branch and why the limb landed on my car instead of the power lines that were directly below it.

The whole dang world has gone crazy Roger. Even cartoons are offensive if the non white characters aren't voiced by people of color. Common sense has been basically thrown out the window. No surprise covid 19 is spiking again now and some states are going back into lockdown.

Interesting...https://www.jayski.com/2020/06/29/penske-has-yet-to-offer-brad-keselowski-a-contract-for-2021/ Could that mean Brad Keselowski would finally drive for Hendrick Motorsports like originally planned, taking over the #48 next season. Roger probably wants to pay him less $$$, sure is interesting that they haven't even thrown an offer at him yet though since he already won 2 races this season. Root. I love drinking craft or old fashioned root beers. Stewart's, Blue Sky and Jones are my top 3 at the moment.

Just when I thought I seen or heard it all... I read that some streaming services have removed an ""offensive"" Golden Girls episode , that had Blanche and Rose in beauty masks, because it resembled black face. What's really hilarious is the episode is conveying interracial marriage and bringing families from two different backgrounds together. This 'cancel culture' is kind of shooting itself in the foot when they get shows and movies taken off the air that actually push the message of equality.

Once again mother nature delayed Cup races this time the double header at Pocono. Kevin Harvick won Saturday's rain delayed race, his first Pocono win. Denny Hamlin finished 2nd, Aric Almirola 3rd, Christopher Bell 4th and Kyle Busch 5th. Michael McDowell finished 8th with a strong run from starting 26th. Chris Buescher finished 10th from starting 24th. Sunday's race was also rain delayed and Denny Hamlin won with Kevin Harvick finishing 2nd. Eric Jones 3rd, Chase Elliot 4th and Aric Almirola 5th. Matt Dibenedetto finished 6th which is his 4th top 10 of the season. This weekend both Xfinity and cup races at Indianapolis are on NBC. Xfinity starts at 3pm Saturday afternoon. Cup starts at 4pm Sunday afternoon.

Hover, hover fly's get mistaken for bees due to their color and bands, but they are just as crucial as bees because they pollinate many flowers.

Gonna have to make it a triple dose Roger. Battery was dead in my car this morning. At least it was a simple job of replacing it unlike today's vehicles. The old battery I bought back in 2014 so I guess I got my money's worth out of it. Also found out yesterday that i lost out on a deck job. They decided to go with an epoxy coating company instead. The extra money sure would've been nice right now but at least we got 2 inches of rain the past 48hrs so I'll be busy mowing again.

Superman, boy I wish I could fly right now.

Been a long couple of days and I don't know how much more I can take... neighbor started up with us again. Apparently he doesn't give a about the law or he figures with all this BLM stuff going on the cops won't do anything to his buddy who is legally not even allowed on the property. The storm overnight apparently had some high winds which knocked a really large branch off a big maple onto my 1st car which also happened to be my grandpa's last car that was parked at my dad's property. No resto-modding it now, roof is caved in. Had a lot of plans for that car. Even though a lot family told me to junk it after the transmission was blown I held out since it was a rare two tone factory paint job on an '81 Monte Carlo that I hoped to bring back to a nice shiny luster. Was gonna drop in a LS motor to replace the anemic v6 that didn't have enough power to get out of its own way and also grab a new GM 6 speed auto trans. Was gonna upgrade the brakes to discs at all four corners and grab a set of later Monte Carlo 5 spoke rims. The interior I was gonna chuck the bench seat for buckets, was even thinking of going with a set from a 70's Monte that swiveled, and probably have them upholstered in leather in a tan color to match the interior color. None of that's happening now though .
-
that'd be hilarious. I can picture uncle Jesse chewing the boys out for that prank. Wonder if anybody did pranks like that on set.

I grew up watching Gilligan's Island reruns but now I can't stand that show. There's only a couple of episodes that I enjoy and can watch over and over but that's it. MM it's interesting that you mention My Mother the Car as a DoH villain of the week, Avery Schreiber was on that show for 11 episodes.

Andrew Murstein, president of Medallion financial is the majority owner of Richard Petty Motorsports. You can read more about the organization here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Petty_Motorsports. Last time a Petty had majority ownership was with Petty Enterprises and 2008 was it's last year in Nascar before they merged with Gillet Evernham Motorsports in 2009. Petty Enterprises is still around but it now modifies street cars. They put out some nice muscle cars as of late .
-
Richard Petty is still a minority owner of Richard Petty Motorsports who owns the car Bubba Wallace drives, that's why the #43 is on it.

Usually my score is under par and I win the bets but ya can't win them all even though my competitive tries every trick in the book too. Yeah Erie is only clear when the area tributaries don't get rain for a week or so, unless you go way out into the middle of Erie where the sediment doesn't reach.

https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/06/23/bubba-wallace-fbi-says-no-federal-hate-crime-committed-at-talladega/ You'd think someone could have been able to tell the difference between a noose and a rope used as a handle for a garage door. But it sure put Nascar in the headlines this weekend and I'm sure some extra eyes on the race yesterday .

Celebrated my birthday by going minigolf-ing. My game was way off yesterday only hit a par 2 once. My worst hole was a ten stroke lmao. The wife clobbered me, good thing she didn't want to bet like we usually do lol. We kept hearing a frog call at one hole, I ended up locating it in one of the pond's pipes that's either used to fill or clean it so I broke a stick off a nearby bush and shoved it in the hole, hope the frog climbed its way out. Even though the Nascar race wasn't at Sonoma like it usually is on or around my birthday at least it was at another favorite track of mine, Talladega. Finally had some rain here, been about 2 weeks since the last measurable rainfall. Chances of rain all week and I hope it does rain most of the days.
