As I understand it if you go to the car registration portion it asks you which cast you need to sign your car and you are supposed to check which ones you need and Toms name is there. Someone even asked if he is definite in one of the threads and the answer was yes.The guy wasn't going unless Tom was a for sure thing.

Well according to the supporting staff over on CGLFC any Dukes cast listed are definitely coming including Tom Wopat if you you can believe that. I'm on the fence about Adam West as I was a Batman fan as a kid. The reason to attract non-Dukes fans? To try and hopefully convert them into Dukes fans is the only logic I can come up with. The Schneiders think it's a good idea apparently. Why don't they get Johnathan Frakes? He was a Hogg before he was Riker. That would draw alot of Trekkies to Dukesfest. I'd be far more upset if they got Johnny,Sean,Or Jessica.

Brian I can't see the logic in him being there either other than the hopes of drawing more of a crowd.As to who's idea it was. I can't say. If you want to PM me who you think it was feel free. If they spent the money on him instead of Don Pedro or Chip Mayer or another Dukes cast then yes I think that is poor judgement but I have no proof that is the case. It is what it is now.I provided an e-mail to cast your displeasure. She makes the call regardless of whose brainstorm it was,she approved it. Do the Schneiders read this forum Brian? If so then I retract what I said about it being pointless to complain here. Adam is going to be there now that isn't gonna change it's been advertised. Changing it now would really make the Schneiders look bad even if it cost them losing a few fans from coming. I don't see how lawn mower races or pro wrestling belong at Dukesfest either but very few have complained about those in the past.

Oh I'm not saying you can't but it is pointless to do so that is what I meant..It's a lock he's gonna be there.They aren't going to change it now regardless of how much anyone complains.It would be like if any of the movie cast was there for me.I could complain at the top of my lungs but if they chose to get them and it was locked no amount of doing so would change it.I would just choose not to attend if I could attend. Yes perhaps if enough complain this time they may not do something like this in the future but this year is this year and he is locked on being there. It took us car owners 5 years of complaining before anything was done about getting our cars signed so things don't change overnight. Oh it's more if you want a picture with him that is an additional charge. I don't have a problem with it. I can't go anyways. It's John and Ellys decision to get him to come. So it's no use in complaining about it. If you don't like it don't come or don't go in his autograph line. It's not like it is costing you any extra for him to be there. They got him cheaper than Jeff Altman (Huey Hogg) if you can believe that but it is true. Jeff's appearance fee is outrageous. I understand the reasoning on getting him it'll draw a whole bunch more people maybe into both Dukes and Batman. I'd rather meet Adam then say Sean William Scott or Johnny Knoxville.

True. 40$ He was at some Sports memorabilia show in Cleveland in 2006 but it had other celebs in attendance besides the sports guys. They were talking on the local talk show about how he was charging 40$ a autograph.

That's right folks in case you haven't checked the Dukesfest site lately. The one and only Adam West from the TV series Batman will be there.

Well to my knowledge they never used a 70 at all during the show.However if you wanna know how to spot one that maybe a partial conversion. The bucket seats are a dead give away. Along with other interior differences. 70 they went to the locking steering column with the key in the column. The seats were high back buckets. Tom Sarmento who was on the crew who built Generals says it was easier to convert the 68's to 69's than to convert 70's. 70 you have to replace the entire front clip,hood fenders grill. A 68 you just gotta replace or modify the tail light section and put a fake center I piece in the grill and bondo or paint over the side marker lights. 68's had interior differences as well but more subtle ones. You can spot 68 seats in many episodes as one of the main close up cars has 68 interior in it. My car has partial 68 interior in it. The dash pad,center console,and upper door pads.

I just been big fan since I was 14 when Dukes first aired.Trivia on General Lee or the cars I'm pretty good.Trivia in things in the show not as good that's why I don't try and answer thing in the trivia section. Like I can spot a converted 68 in certain episodes things like that.

I still wouldn't hold my breath on Tom being there guys and gals, just because it says he is scheduled does not mean guaranteed to be there. He was "scheduled" last year and backed out sorta at the last minute. You can bet if a Broadway thing comes into play he'll do that instead of Dukesfest. I heard mostly bad things the last time he was there anyway. I heard he was kind of a jerk and he wasn't on time either. That is no way to treat fans who made you what you are.

It was ok at best. I couldn't buy super intelligent killer ants. The special effects were very obvious fake. You could tell relatively low budget film. However Tom did come off as a very convincing psycho. The ant in the ear thing was kind of disturbing.

Well I'm not sure whether to watch it or not now. I think I'll take General Grants opinion since he seems the most hardcore KR fan here. I'll take a hardcore guys opinion because like me a hardcore Dukes/General Lee we don't accept a whole bunch of changes only very minimal ones. I probably won't watch it. I'll probably be disappointed. At least it sounds like they didn't put in a whole bunch of bad language and what sex was in it I heard was sorta implied not in your face like 2 other movies based on a TV show were.

Didn't watch it. I watched the Tom Wopat movie which wasn't that good. I couldn't buy super intelligent killer ants. What was this about a 3 way and lesbian action? That's enough for me not to want to see it. Why do all the remakes of classic shows they gotta put some sort of sex angle in them? They did it in both Dukes movies now Knight Rider.

No need to be sorry General Grant. You are just as passionate about KITT as I am about General Lee.Plus I agree with you and I wasn't a huge fan of KR. Go on the Knight Rider message board once. They are none too happy there either.The filming activity in Florida? Could be any number of things. I know Lee 1 has recently been moved to Florida to it's owner so maybe it was a promotional thing with it. There is guy in the movie industry(He was in the first Dukes movie) that post on another Dukes board and he usually gets the first lowdown on any new thing on the horizon. So far zero.As I pointed out WB got rid of all vehicles needed to do a major production. So if rumors are true it is going to be very,very low budget which will probably mean more tarnishing of the Dukes legacy.

That's where they have failed twice Roger. I don't trust WB anymore with the franchise. Replacing General Lee with a new car and new name or changing General Lee into a newer car is out of the question. You can see how upset some are getting about this new KITT.Imagine if they change or replace General Lee. It won't work period. I wouldn't care how much they cleaned it up or if all the original cast was involved. If General Lee is changed or replaced it is doomed for failure. I understand your passion Roger. You want the Dukes franchise to continue. I do too IF it was done correctly but as I've said they've had 2 opportunities and failed.WB has tarnished the Dukes legacy IMO. Maybe it's time we just leave well enough alone and let them live on in the 7 seasons on DVD.

Even IF this does well. I don't see it influencing WB to do any more Dukes projects.I think all these rumors about a new Dukes series are all bunk. WB had their chance twice and failed miserably.If they had any plans to do more why did they auction off all the vehicles needed to do a weekly series or even a mini-series which was rumored.There would be more than just rumors by now. I've made this argument before.The main thing is MONEY. Ford is supplying the cars probably free as part of the deal. That cost can be used on special effects and other stuff thus a cost effective budget..There is nobody making 69 Chargers so where you gonna get cars? It wouldn't be cost effective.Maintainance and so forth would be just too costly to do a weekly series.Don't even think about replacing General Lee either that won't work no matter how much you argue it might. You won't get the hardcore guys like me to watch..I've checked all the actors IMDB profiles from both Dukes movies and there are no near future Dukes projects listed. So even if rumors are true, what another re-cast another origin of General Lee? Gee that's all we need. I don't see the hardcore KITT fans liking this new one either as I've seen mostly negative feedback on this new KITT. I disagree about the promoting thing Brian. They promoted the heck out of both Dukes movies and USA promoted the heck out of the first one being on their network.

Well I know what I won't be watching those days. I hope it doesn't do well in the ratings but with the writers strike and nothing else being on it probably will. I could care less if it's on.
