Unfortunately Yes WB can do what ever they please with this property. As so called fanatics of the original property how far across the line are we going to let them step before we say enough is enough and stop buying the stuff they are producing. Probably for some of you never. You will continue to buy anything as long as it says Dukes of Hazzard regardless of the content and little trivialities they change in order to sell product.You know there are actually younger people who think that the movie is the only Dukes of Hazzard? Yes believe it or not it is true. I had a younger fellow come up to me at a carshow and asked about the autographs I have and I said they were from the cast and crew of Dukes.He said"From the movie?" I said no from the TV show. He said "There was a TV show?" and he was serious as a heart attack he had no clue. Again I hope I am proven wrong and this new project will be decent.I'm not above eating some crow.

I do not support KISS in their current incarnation.I haven't seen any of their concerts since Ace left and then they replaced Peter because Gene felt he couldn't handle the tour schedule.I won't buy anything that has Eric and Tommy on it either. I'm totally against Eric and Tommy wearing Peter and Aces makeup.Unfortunately Gene owns the makeup rights.If they would make Eric and Tommy different characters and different makeup I could maybe accept that but Yes I boycott KISS because of the makeup issue.At least I'm consistent. I hate to say it but KISS has become just like Dukes.Just Gene trying to suck as much money out of the name as he can.It's not about the music anymore and most of the fans buy into it.Just like WB sucking most fans into Dukes as well. Let me ask you another hypothetical.What if they would remove the flag entirely off the car ?(Which they almost did for the 2005 movie) What if you found out that the flag is totally gone off the General never to return in this new film? Would you buy that? I can't wait to see you answer that.

You don't read either because I said "IF" you thought changing the origin was ok and you never have indicated whether you do or don't think it's ok.Let me throw a hypothetical scenario at you.Suppose you are a huge Superman fan and the word Krypton became politically incorrect.Now here comes WB with Superman Returns.Now instead of doing what a huge fan wants and leave Supermans origin as everyone knows it is.They decide to do what is politically correct and totally change Supermans beginnings because the word Krypton is no longer acceptable.Would the Superman fans buy that? I highly doubt it. Well that scenario isn't any different than the Confederate flag now being politically incorrect so they decide to change General Lee's beginnings.To me as a teenager back in the day,General Lee was a superhero in my eyes so changing how it came to be is not acceptable.

WB is only concerned with making something that wil sell to todays society and to certain age demographics. They don't care what the fans think. They just want to make money.I have come to the conclusion that I better not comment my views on any new Dukes projects WB is dishing out. My opinions just get called assanine and I end up getting insulted. Seems a certain person on here has a vendetta against me just because I don't agree with what WB is doing with the Dukes. So I will try and refrain from making anymore opinions.I will say this,if WB would give the General Lee club I belong to half the budget they did for this new project we could use our cars and think up a good plot and let us cast it,everthing and we could put out a good Dukes movie that would do the original show justice.I know there are enough creative minds over there to do it.

It was not my intent to show off. The differece betwen the Batman movies and the TV series(which was in the 60's by the way) is the movies are not based off that TV show so there is no comparison..The Dukes movies are supposed to be based off the TV show so there should be some similarities in the story lines.Not completely changing them. Agreed it's Warner Brothers property they can flush it down the toilet if they want. We all know the confederate flag issue is the reason for the origin of General Lee being changed. The Dukes stood for fighting against a system and do everthing in their power to protect what they believed in. It just amazes me how a lot of you are just willing to throw that philosophy out the window.You are going to support WB and buy anything they put out as long as it says Dukes of Hazzard on it. You don't care.It's just sad very sad.You notice I didn't resort to insults in my reply and I'm not afraid to go anywhere. The snippet video I did see(I assume most saw) clearly showed no flag on the car.Whether it's on there by the end of the movie is irrelevant.They changed the origin of the car in the big screen movie .Now they are doing it again in this movie.I totally disagree with this.Pure double D wrong.I don't care what argument you have.You are a General Lee fan by your avatar.You of all people should not support them doing this. The origin of General Lee had been established in Happy Birthday General Lee period. It is an insult to me especially since I built a General replica.In my opinion IF you think it's ok they changed the origin then you are not a true Dukes fan and should remove your avatar. Apparently I'm the only one who does give a flying turkey.I'm just pointing out that what lengths WB is going through to get us fans to buy more crap.Pointing out that a lot of people can be fooled by a simple picture.I'm just warning those easily fooled that not everything is as it appears to be.Caveat emptor,let the buyer beware.Apparently I'm also the only one who cares on what they do with this franchise.They want to run this franchise into the ground.I can't stop them.It's theirs. I agree the car itself is a reverse image that they had to fix the numbers to attempt to make it look correct.My point has been confirmed by you who also noticed that the actors were added later.An attempt to fool or mislead most people who wouldn't notice a few small details.The question remains why didn't they do a promo shoot and not have to go through all that photoshop work? Maybe because there is no flag on the car as a sneak peak video showed us that indeed the flag is missing. My theory is that they were afraid to promote a movie showing a General with no flag in a promo shot knowing us fans woudn't buy it.So they created this fakery to fool us.

Bubba I thought of that before I posted what I posted.The 01's are off too.It looks faked the whole way.Why wouldn't they take the time to put up the picture the correct direction when someone like me would notice it being way off? I suppose because they were lazy maybe? To me it looks like that pic of the General was a promo pic from the movie and they super-imposed the new people on there. If they are that sloppy at doing a picture imagine what the movie is going to be like. Believe what you want but don't say I didn't warn you.

Take a better look at that picture folks.Obvious photoshop fake.Notice the Charger emblem in the grill,Wrong side and backwards. Also the lettering on the roof is backwards so everything was an afterthought.Amazing how easily you can fool people.Just because the flag is there on a fake picture doesn't mean it will be in the movie. Matt looks can be very deceiving.

Again they are by what type of jump.This years jump at Dukesfest broke a record.That was asphalt to asphalt I believe.

In the fictional TV world yes it could. Reality though a big block 69 Charger would trash a stock 82 Trans Am. KITT only went that fast fictionally not reality.

It was my understanding that WB had either a 3 year contract or a 3 movie contract with Broken Lizard for any future Dukes projects.(I could be mistaken).Regardless of who the production company is, this guy who is in the movie says it's going to blow chunks and I have no doubt it will.

Ok folks got this from someone who is in correspondence with one fo the guys who is playing one of the deputies in the new prequel. This is a direct quote from him. " Worked Dukes of Hazzard 2... Holy crap that movie is going to SUCK! It's a prequel to the first movie (not the tv show) BUT it's set in modern times... The director is a gay hippie who was on something (not pot) the whole time... it was horrible. I am Deputy "Call"... All I do is stare at Daisy, say "whoa" and walk away... Anyways, at least I got to play a Hazzard County Sheriff and got some pics in costume next to the General Lee:" Now this is coming from someone in the movie so if he says it's crap imagine how bad it really is. I tried to warn you people it looks like all I was told about this movie is going to happen.Broken Lizard delivering another loser Dukes film.

They found it in Georgia.The car is currently being restored by it's current owner.It will make its debut fully restored in November in Georgia.

I told you why it's not there because of all the controversy over the confederate flag.They are the enemy by removing it in the first place. That's my whole point. Why are you willing to accept an explanation of why it's missing and possibly being added by the end of the movie? You know it should be there from the get go.The origin of the car had already been established.You don't think changing the origin is wrong? Just to be politically correct? I don't care if the flag is on there by the end,it's still wrong. See that proves my point about some of you willing to accept all these changes just to keep the Dukes alive. Well you can keep the so-called new Dukes with the foul language,drug use, a flagless General Lee and a gay Cooter.
