Or, does this eggs-trodinary contest win me a date with one of the members of the Dixie Chicks?
-
I loved that Wasburn guitar he had with the Confederate Flag painted on it.
-
OMG!!! It has that AWFUL Confederate Flag on the roof!!! We can't let our children see that!!! It's sooooo ofending!!!
-
Count me in. I'm a Yankee Southern Sympathizer, too.

What happens when you find the Easter Egg? Do you win the actual General Lee from the new movie? Or, do I get to win a date with Jessica Simpson?

Cars we'd like to see on the big screen
Eddiemunster replied to Brian Coltrane's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
This guy I knew had one of those. A 1971 Skylark convertible. It was originally all green, inside and out, plus tons of rust when he bought it. It took him nearly 7 years and almost 17 thousand dollars to restore it. Expensive, but he got what he wanted out of it. It's now white with a black top and black interior. VERY fast, too!!! -
There's a Television Soundtrack CD? What songs are on it? I thought the only song there was is the theme song that Waylon Jenning sings.

Did Coy & Vance ever appear with Bo & Luke?
Eddiemunster replied to jaydee311's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
I remember when that season first came out. I was wondering way back then if Coy and Vance were actually real names, or just made up names for the show. To this day, I have never met anyone named Coy or Vance. (Actually, I've never had met a Bo before, but I've met a Luke.) -
What's Your Favorite Type of 69 Charger?
Eddiemunster replied to 426GeneralLee's topic in General Discussion
There's a website I visit often, maybe some of us here has heard of it. www.carsinbarns.com They have a page on there that is only for Chrysler Wing Cars (1969 Dodge Daytona/1970 Plymouth Superbird). This website is dedicated to any muscle car or classic car that's been rotting away in either someone's driveway, barn, or field. If you're a classic car fan like me, some of these pics might make you sick, so discretion is advised!!! -
So, maybe they are thinking of doing a DOH game with Coy and Vance, only to have Coy look and sound like Bo?

What's Your Favorite Type of 69 Charger?
Eddiemunster replied to 426GeneralLee's topic in General Discussion
Actually, I like them all!!! I just don't like how much they go for. Especially when the options get further and further away from the base model, then I REALLY dislike the price! Unless, I was the seller of course. -
When many people think of "The 60's", the first thing that comes to mind is the Peace/Love/Dope hippie stuff. What some people don't realize is that the hippie stuff really didn't start untill the latter part of the sixties. From 1960-1965, and probably a good portion of 1966, it was just like the fifties. For a number of years, I always thought that Leave It To Beaver was set in the fifties. It wasn't untill I got a bit older, and learning about cars from the sixties, that I realized "Hey, what's a bunch of 60's cars doing in a show set in the fifties? Oh, it is the sixties!!!" Alot of similarities with the way people still dressed, had their haircuts, and attitudes were there. I would say it's a drastic change, all this in just one decade. You go from Car Hops and Street Drags, to Woodstock and Acid Flashbacks.

General Lee's used in the movie...
Eddiemunster replied to coy&vancefan's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
Man, I wish I could afford to even THINK about purchasing one of the Generals. I might be able to scrounge up enough money to at least buy one that was rolled over a few million times, and totaled out. -
I haven't seen this movie in a very long time. It's definately a classic, and well worth checking out if you haven't seen it yet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this movie that Happy Days was based from?

I have a friend who buys crappy old cars really cheap, and tries to drive like the Dukes sometimes on country backroads. I'm not actually sure if he does this alot, or maybe just once in a great while. I know he landed a 1983 Chevy Blazer that he got for free (imagine what this heap looked like, being it was for free) in a ditch, and a local farmer retrieved it for him using the bucket of his backhoe!!! Put a big dent in the roof, and smashed the rear window in the process. The farmer was just passing by in his backhoe when he saw him purposely do a 180 degree bootlegger's turn, losing control and went into the ditch. Does this count as a "Dukes Moment?"

Maybe the guy who digitally remastered them on the master set was too young to watch DOH when it first aired.

Is Where YOU Live Anything Like Hazzard County?
Eddiemunster replied to 426GeneralLee's topic in General Discussion
Well, there's not much in my neck of the woods that remind me of Hazzard. I know that if I drive not too far out, I could find some country roads that I don't know about to goof around on. We even have an Indian Reservation near me (Tuscaroran Tribe) that probably has some dirt roads to goof around on. (Personally, being of Europen decent, I wouldn't want to piss the Natives off. I don't know what they'll do to a white boy that they don't know!!! ) Then, of course, there's a small tavern not far at all from me that has been there since prohibition. It used to be a speakeasy. So, there was probably moonshine flowin' there at one point. Even though it's a small tavern with a grove out back (had some great parties out there, but that's besides the point. hehe ), it is still the closest thing to the Boar's Nest for me. I've gotten tons and tons of great free advice from the old timers in there. -
Supposedly, I have heard the actual engine/tranny are the 440 4 barrell carb and 727 Torqueflight automatic. But, the plastic model I have is a 426 Hemi.
-
A friend of mine also pointed out a goof up, which I think is kinda funny. They'll show Luke driving, but Luke would be cursing out Bo for bad driving!
-
That'll be interesting to find out, especially if they have a soundtrack for it. Then I can buy it, and get caught speeding while listening to it in my car! Actually, I didn't know if the chase songs had names. I would've figured those songs were just a few musicians goofing around in a studio, and getting paid for it.

White Ford Truck in Movie?
Eddiemunster replied to Good Ole SC Boy's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
I've heard a rumour that Uncle Jesse traded in that old Ford for a Hummer. Can you imagine Uncle jesse driving a Hummer? -
I think Burt would've wanted too much money, and since WB already spent that money on all those Chargers. I'm sure they couldn't afford both.
