  1. It's usually Crown Victorias where I live. There's at least one Camaro State Trooper car. I've also seen a few Dodge Intrepids with a crash bar, kinda similar to the General Lee's crash bar.
  2. As Clay162 stated, there's not very much at all that is mentioned about things happening during the time frame this show aired. Thus, making the show in a "set timeframe." Also, in the very first DOH video game for PS1, there is a phrase that Waylon Jennings states which goes something like: "Time sorta stands still, here in Hazzard." I think this is a subconscious way of thinking that countless people don't realize they have. People want to get away to a place that time "stands still" in a peacefull sort of way. I.E.- DOH and The Andy Griffith Show. They take people to a different place for roughly an hour at a time.
  3. I'd probably go see it at least once, for s---s and giggles. I say that since I'm a Dukes Fan, I MUST see the new movie at least once. If it's really good, then I'll see it again, and again, and again.......etc.
  4. Right in my 10 mile radius of where I live, our "Sherriff Roscoe" is our own "Sgt. Baker." I believe he's with the Town of Amherst police dept., not a State Trooper or Sherriff. I'll let y'all know once he has a chance to pull me over for something small and stupid. Everyone talks about him around here.
  5. ......when you've been tired from driving for a while, accidently go off the road were road construction workers have that part of the road dug up, realize you went off the road and try to scare the workers by speeding up and jumping back on the road using the ramp-shaped pile of stones.
  6. I wonder if any DOH things are in the Smithsonian Institute? Not to get anywhere off topic, but since it was mentioned about the General being in some sort of museum, I just thought that maybe there is a museum to check out......
  7. Well, that first jump must have had an extremely hard crash landing, since it appears in the picture the driver's side door, that's supposed to have been welded shut, obviously fell off the car!!!
  8. I was going to post this to Brian Coltrane's posting under the Announcement topic, but since I'm not a moderator, I couldn't. I would like to thank the moderators for all their hard work in keeping this forum working. I realize that doing this "side project" from the other things going on in your personal lives could be considered "another job or strain." Of course, as some of you know, we had someone recently visit this forum who wanted to be an idiot. I know the moderators don't have time, nor wish to deal with such garbage. Thank you for this wonderfull forum. Here's to hoping that we don't have another jackass posting here.
  9. A guitar shape can be trademarked. Rickenbacker sued many manufacturers back in the eighties for making copys. John Hall, the CEO, sued on trademark infringement. The reason why strats, Les Pauls, and such are being copied is because Fender and Gibson already license their namesakes and trademarks to "foreign" manufacturers, hence Fender's Squire series and Gibson's Epiphone guitars. Rickenbacker doesn't do this at all, so they can uphold a trademark infringement lawsuit and win it in court. So far this is the only company I know to do this.
  10. Labatt's Ice and a shot of Jack Daniels. (Just the thought of that right now makes me spaced out!)
  11. What's the first best car/vehicle in the world, mind I ask? I sure hope it's not the A-Team van!!!
  12. Too much beer makes you braindead. Trust me on this.
  13. It's not the rolls that should be worried about, it's what might be "peeking out" that some people don't care to see!!!
  14. C'mon!!! I'm not THAT fat in the posterior!!! Though, I should stop ordering take-out, drinking beer, and get off my comfy chair more often.....
  15. I'd sure hate to see what the kids turned out like if Uncle Jesse and Granny would be married. If they ever got divorced, Granny would literally take her half of the farm and the farmhouse!
  16. Too bad that Dean Guitars originally dropped that "star" shape guitar. Only if they knew that a couple of years later, Dimebag Darrell would become famous with that guitar. It wasn't until Pantera's second album that Washburn copied that guitar for a Dimebag Signiture model. Now, Washburn is raking in the dough, and Dean is S.O.L.!!! I think Dean came back into making that guitar again, just to try to "reclaim" the money that they "lost", but Washburn is the real Signature model.
  17. The thing that always got me was that it took all these years to figure out the Confederate Flag was "offensefull." People are comparing it as a same difference to the Nazi swastika. If the flag was so darn offensefull, why wasn't it considered it years ago? Why start sqauwking about it now? Heck, I've been living as a Yankee here in New York State all my life, and I can definately see what the Confederate Flag is all about. I say let the southerners chose to fly the flag if they want, even if the Confedrate Government isn't in existence anymore.
  18. Would I have to wear the outfit of my favorite DOH character to work as a dress code? I really don't think those Daisy Duke shorts do me justice on my fat behind!!!
  19. I'll keep that in mind when I go to my local Best Buy.
  20. Yes, it's short for that. Beauregard has been mentioned in one of the first episodes in Season one.
  21. Possible dumb question: It's found in the country music section of my favorite CD store, right?
  22. I have the first two Pantera albums, and their "Best Of" album. I used to have the third album, but that was stolen from me. I haven't bought the fourth and fifth albums yet. After I heard the news, I bought the Damage Plan CD, and it's not bad. I prefer Pantera better, but DP is pretty darn good headbanging stuff. (Can't be bangin' too much. Besides getting a splitting headache, I lose too many brain cells.) It's a crying shame these days, not knowing who's going to do something crazy to you. The thing that got me was that this disturbed young man was angry at Darrell and his brother Vinnie for leaving Pantera, so he shoots at them, killing Darrell?!?!?! I can't help to wonder what kind of thinking this world revolves around.
  23. Theres an episode, "Happy Birthday General Lee", I believe it's called, where they show how Bo and Luke got it. They already had an engine built, but no car yet. A couple of bank robbers had a black '69 Charger as their getaway car. When they get caught, somehow the impounded Charger gets sold to a junk yard. So, Bo and Luke find it in the junk yard and buy it. Of course, the only color paint that Cooter had was orange, and they proceed to fix it up. The rest is history.
