A random thought from Yankee rebel wanna-be
Eddiemunster replied to pendragon1980's topic in General Discussion
You know you're a redneck if you ask if WD40 comes as a splash-on aftershave, instead of a spray-on cologne!!! -
Consider my reserved copy paid in full!!!

What kind of music do y'all listen to??

I often wondered as to where are all those old Kiss pinball machines, now? I'd hate to see what prices they go for in mint shape. -

Oh, I forgot to mention my favorite Heavy Metal band of all time: Metallica. I also occasionally visit their forum on the official website. I use the same nickname, Eddiemunster. (Some guy at work started calling me this nickname, so I use it on forums. I really don't resemble him, though, FYI.) -

I'm very much open to a lot of music, except rap-crap. (No offense to anyone, sorry!! ) Here's a list of some of my diversity: 1.) Lynyrd Skynrd 2.) Deep Purple 3.) Cannible Corpse 4.) Carcass 5.) Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath 6.) Jaco Pastorius 7.) Howard And The White Boys (No, it's not rap. They're a modern-day blues band, FYI.) Lately, I've been listining to my local classic rock radio station, 97 Rock. http://www.97rock.com I also like some of today's music like The Headstones, and the like. Basically, if it sounds good, I'll listen to it. -
What's in your collection?

Just thinking back to when I had all those toys when I was a kid makes me wish I did keep them all. I'm still kicking myself for that. I just have the most recent model of the General Lee, which I have on display on my desk. I'm not great at doing model cars, but I did a pretty good job at this one. -

All this Redneck stuff just got me thinkin' about this one I can use about this Redneck woman I know at work. You know you're a Redneck if you drive your husband's Dodge Fifth-Wheel with a Cummins Diesel Engine to work every day. Gotta just love those Duelies!!! -

Been there, done that! Add money-laundering to my list, too! -
Now that movie clip made me laugh! I'd consider that good humor!

Yes, it's too bad that Leon passed away. IMHO, he was an amazing musician on the bass.

Here's one that relates to me: You know you're a redneck when the local bar you hang out at used to be a speakeasy in the 1920's. Really. I've heard, but never have seen yet, the tunnell from the house next door where they smuggled in the booze. -
I just love it when people talk about the Cofederate Flag as same as the Swastika. (Spellcheck on that!) I can see that somewhat, but it is not really the same. The Nazis killed Jewish people in Concentration Camps, and the South once used black people for slaves. Actually, there were slave owners who were actually very good to their slaves. But I haven't heard of any Nazi Skinhead ever being nice to any Jewish person. So, even almost 140 years after the Civil War, I still see the Rebel Flag as a sighn of a way of living. Instead of these Politically Correct people telling us to "get over" the fact the South lost the war, maybe those people should "get over" the fact that slavery once existed. Slavery is over and done with, so the Rebel Flag is now a sighn of a way of living. It is definately not wrong to wave the flag to show how proud you are of your Sothern Heritage. I guess some people just can't see that. I can see that, and I've been a Yankee all of my life. What does that say?

I've always liked: You might be a redneck if 1.) Your wife's new hair-do gets caught in the ceiling fan, and 2.) Your 16-year-old daughter fires up a cigerette at the dinner table, in front of her children. -
About the Dukes using Nextels instead of CB's, I'd think that'll be hilarious! "Breaker, breaker Lost Sheep. Can you hear me now?" HA!!!!

MONSTER GARAGE REDO OF THE GENERAL LEE
Eddiemunster replied to NORTHERNREDNECK's topic in General Discussion
I do believe there was an episode were Cooter built the General with a truck suspention on it. I'm not sure which episode that was. -
I just recently bought it. It's great that I can watch any of these classic episodes whenever I want. I didn't watch the whole thing yet, so I'll further comment when it's all been watched.

I think I can handle seeing a skateboard painted like the General Lee, but not a punch bug or Yugo!

Darrell, That's a great story. It's just great to hear that a new generation of Skynyrd fans are out there. I got to see Skynyrd a couple of years ago. It was one of the last concerts with Leon Wilkenson on bass. (RIP, Leon) My friend's brother and I went, it was a great show. Ted Nugent opened up for a 45 minute gig, then Deep Purple did about 1hr. and 15 minutes. Then, Skynyrd did an hour and 40 or so minutes. I heard they were around again, but I was out of town this time. Next time, I'm going again.

I feel the car should stay the same, with the flag and all. That's how I remember it on the show, so it should be in the movie. Removing the flag is totally redundant. It's the same difference if you have to remove your last name because it might offend someone. It's your family name, and if you are proud of your family name, than you have the right to keep it no matter what anyone says about it.

I think Danny DeVito would do a great Boss Hogg. As for Paul Walker, I don't know who he is. I never seen the two "Fast and Furious" movies.

Allright, I guess I'll be the first to post here.

What was the patrol car used in the very first episode? Was that an older Plymouth Fury, also? All I know is that episode is the only one with a different model patrol car. -

So, I'm the only one so far as to give a darn about the patrol cars? -
How old is he now?
