  1. Looks like BoJames finally has some competition from boluke and MaryAnne. See how you get on with these: Raid Seaport Daub Inky Eyelids Science Of No Torsos A Closemouthed Bakery Urge My Wall Mops Then I Get 'Em Novelist Faces Lull Diluted Rusty Lasagna Bather Nearest Boss Weekend Huts
  2. Roger, I have good news and bad news. You were right, but only about MaryAnne knowing her cars - it was F) AMC Matador. Q. Which Dukes episode title is a reference to a Paul Newman movie from the 1960s. The episode also featured one of the stars of the movie.
  3. BL's link seems to be dead now. I found this site where you can download various versions of the font for free. http://fontzone.net/font-details/Hobo+BT/?preview=THE+DUKES+OF+HAZZARD As well as the aliases listed by MaryAnne, I seem to remember old versions of CorelDraw called it Homeward Bound.
  4. Slightly off topic but, in my defense, I was at work when I saw this episode the other day. In the first 3 season of M*A*S*H Henry Blake has a coffee mug from the University of Illinois. Can't help thinking that's a great color scheme .
  5. I have a Region 2 set of season 7 and all the episodes are on it. The only issue I have with it is that discs 3 and 4 in my set are labelled the wrong way around so I end watching them out of sequence.

  9. I did see the A-Team movie (for some reason it was released in the UK and Ireland about 2 months after the US). I wasn't like the original, but I still quite enjoyed it. There were some nice comedy touches but, just like the new Knight Rider, there were also some ridiculously OTT CGI special effects. I am old enough to remember watching the series when it was first shown in the '80s, whereas some of the friends I saw it with weren't even born then. They've grown up with CGI being the norm, but agreed with me that it went too far in this movie. Why can't we have a good action film with stunts done for real?. The other thing that annoyed me was that they'd gone to the trouble of putting BA's van in the movie, got the make and model right, then messed up some of the smaller details like the stripe. Out of the other movies you mention, I thought Bewitched was the least bad because they didn't try to remake the series, they just set the movie around remaking it. Probably just as well - they could never replace Elizabeth Montgomery. I'd not heard about the Magnum movie and I can't find a lot about it at the moment (IMDb still have it in the Pro section). One recent piece I did find suggested Ashton Kutcher may play the lead after George Cooney turned it down. Can't say I'm holding my breath for that.

  15. It's a great story, but sadly, as with so many other things on the internet, it's not true - sorry Julie. Read the real origin here: www.snopes.com (about 2/3 of the way down).

  17. The English have traditionally been good at inventing team sports. Then they show the rest of the world how to play and, very unsportingly, the rest of the world come back and beat us . Surprisingly, hurling and Gaelic Football are played in small patches around the world - if you live in a part of the US with an Irish community, it may be played there.
  18. Wow - for the first time I don't need to post BoJames's solutions (they were all correct). 22. I know what you mean. F1 is back this weekend after a long break. With interactive satellite TV I get to watch the first 2 practice sessions on Friday, 3rd practice and qualifying on Saturday, and the whole race on Sunday, all without a single commercial break because it's on the BBC.
  23. I'm certainly not here to start an argument about something I know so little about. I just know reputations aren't easy to lose - it may or may not have been Montoya's fault. Considering that you've told us who your favorite drivers are, I think you're doing alright when it comes to impartiality. Red Bull owns 2 F1 teams (4 cars), and both teams look very similar at 200 mph. One team is Red Bull Racing, the other is Scuderia Toro Rosso (Italian for Team Red Bull).
  24. Thanks, I'm starting to understand it bit by bit. I'm sure it would be easier if I got to see full coverage and not just highlights. No we don't - I think it's only played in the North America - that's why you called it the World Series (sorry, couldn't resist). Us Europeans (it was either the English or the French) just invented it for y'all. Over here they play hurling, Gaelic football, rugby, and soccer. You can check out some hurling here: If you're really brave you can watch the match with Irish commentary :
  25. You can see this reply coming a mile off, but I still like it. In 'Go West, Young Dukes', Rufus was apologizing to Thaddeus for finding the discarded playing card on the floor: Rufus: Well, I'm sorry Mr. Hogg, but I didn't know you weren't playing with a full hand. Thaddeus: That's because you ain't playing with a full deck.
