  1. If Frankie had won her bet with Bo in 'Luke's Love Story', she was going to paint the General pink.
  2. I'll wimp out and do the same. I'm waiting for the day MaryAnne or Mufn tell us General Lee was blue, or Bo was the dark one, and we'll all agree out of deference . Sorry Roger, I've got a couple of questions from 'The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood' - I'm starting watching again from 'One Armed Bandits', so regular service will be resumed soon . I'll start with an easy one: Q. In 'Hazzard in Hollywood', what creatures were painted on Rosco's RV?.
  3. She's a Star - James
  4. Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles No worries, Garrett - I was running low myself .
  5. After watching 'Reunion', I couldn't resist having a go at the infamous '00'. I've not taken as much artistic license with this one, the chrome around the wheel arches and white letter tires are my only additions. The flames on the front fenders are copied directly, but I couldn't find a clear shot of the flames on the hood, so I had to improvise a bit - all of the replicas I've seen seem to differ in this area (my 1:18 model was no use at all). The license plate was too blurry to make out, so I left it blank - if anyone knows the correct license plate, please let me know so I can add it in. Now I have the basic shape of the '68 Mustang, I might have a go at Lucifer .
  6. The Blower's Daughter - Damien Rice
  7. I'm glad we've decided to be friends - it means I won't have to bring up the Boston Tea Party .
  8. I planned to post last night, but late nights on HNet catch up with me once in a while - I have no memory of anything past 11.15pm last night (6.15pm Eastern) . I know the answer to Mufn's question, but only by looking it up on IMDb. If no-one else answers, I'll post the answer, but I feel like I cheated. I've never seen the show, so I don't feel too bad about not getting it. As you'd probably guessed, our Supreme Superior Commander was correct in every detail. I don't think they've shown 'Grace Under Fire' on TV over here for about 10 years - it would be good to see an episode again. I enjoyed Brett Butler's cameo in season 1 of 'My Name is Earl'. Q. John Schneider's character, Ray, enjoys a cigar or two in 'Christmas Comes to Willow Creek', but which is the only Dukes episode where we see him smoking?.
  9. Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter - Iron Maiden
  10. I joined soon after you stopped posting, and I wondered where HazzardNet's most prolific poster had gone . It's great to have you back, and I hope you can find the right balance between school and Hazzard. It's also good to hear that TexasDaisy's computer woes are behind her (at least for a while).
  11. Here's IMDb's list of filming locations - don't know whether one of these was the jump site. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0377818/locations
  12. Moonshiner's Daughter - Hayseed Dixie
  13. Don't get me wrong - it was funny - I laughed when I saw it. My skin is thick enough to withstand comments of this nature - remember, I am an Englishman living in Ireland, so I still get stick from the locals for stuff that happened hundreds of years ago. If anyone has a list of what's wrong with the English, feel free, but don't expect it to go unchallenged .
  14. I certainly did.
  15. So L.B., what's wrong with being an Englishman?. (This is a rhetorical question - I don't need a list ).
  16. Hold Back the Tears - Jessi Colter
  17. I spent the day at the All American Car, Truck & Bike Show in Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath. American cars are pretty rare here (there's a '65 Mustang I've seen around a couple of times, and there's a guy about 10 miles away with a Dodge Ram pickup), so to see so many in one place was great. There was a good turnout of Mustangs, and I'm sure MaryAnne would have liked the dozen or so '70s and '80s Trans-Ams. Obviously the highlight of the day was finding a General there. I spent about half an hour talking Dukes with the car's owner, Gary. He told me that he knows of one other General in Ireland, but that might be it. I know several HNet members have their own Generals, so this may sound like no big deal, but getting to sit inside was definitely a treat for me - Thanks Gary. The show was hosted by the Midland American Automobile Club. Gary belongs to the American & Custom Car Club Northern Ireland. Take a look at their website for more pictures of his General, plus pictures from his trips to Dukesfest.

    Commercials

It sounds like a lot of money, and most commercials don't cost as much to make, but it's peanuts compared to the campaign budgets. A 30 second advertising slot during the Super Bowl now costs $2.5 - $3m. Sounds like I'm in the wrong business .

    Commercials

I remembered these the other day. They are a few years old now, but I don't think they were shown in the US. Both are epic 2 minute commercials for Honda: They cost a fortune to make (£1m plus) each.
