  1. Here's a couple more from season 1.

In 'Limo One is Missing' the brief scene when the General pulls over (just before the motorcyle cops jump into the lake) has been mirrored.

Near the start of 'Deputy Dukes', Cindy Lou and Maybelle steal all of Bo and Luke's clothes. The girls can be seen carrying their pants, and the boys clearly have bare legs when they climb into the General. However, when we see them a couple of minutes later, just before they run into Rosco, they (or at least the two guys in the car) are both wearing jeans.

  2. With some proper promotion (or proper exploitation, as Elwood Blues would say) we'll have more folks there on October 1st.

I know about that stuff, I've been exploited all my life.

We're goin' up north to put the word to the streets.

You, on the motorcycle! ... you two girls, tell your friends. Free parking. 2 dollar cover charge only folks. That's a lot of entertainment for two dollars ... and October 1st is ladies' night at the HazzardNet chatroom.

  3. Everyone seemed to know it was 'Undercover Dukes', points to all.

    Now an announcement:

This will be my last question for a while. I have been posing questions for just over a year now and have had great fun doing so. On the downside, I can't remember the last time I sat down and watched an episode from start to finish without pausing it to take a screengrab or make a note of something that could be a question. Roger has kindly agreed to step in and ask questions while I'm on my sabbatical - it will give me a chance to show my ignorance :). Thanks to all who've played during my tenure of this thread.

I thought the following picture was appropriate for the situation.

    Q. Which episode from season 1 is this picture from?:

  4. This is a toughie.

Sorry Roger, everyone got the last question, so I thought I throw in a harder one. I'd have been surprised if anyone knew it - I just wanted some lucky guesses. The answer was D) July 12 1979.

    Q. Hal Smith, who played Henry Flatt, did a good job of staying out of Boss's way, but reappeared as Pop Durham in season 6. Which episode in season 6 did he appear?.

  5. Nice work CD. I see you even found a Maudine the mule lookalike on your travels :).

... the only other things in the garage that aren't mine are a couple cases of beer :)

I'm sure you're probably a good Catholic boy who's pledged not to touch that some of stuff until you're legally allowed at 18 ;).

  6. If I'm not mistaken it was used briefly in Diamonds in the Rough. I cant remember exactly when, but i think it was just after Bo and Luke got the Bugs Bunny doll.

Boy CD, you've got a good memory. The tunnel is seen about 7 minutes in, just after Bo and Luke get the Bugs Bunny doll. I would have thought that they had used the same tunnel as the one in 'Witness for the Persecution' (I'd guess that the piece of road they're on immediatley before the tunnel is somewhere west of Santa Clarita), but it looks like you're right - it is the tunnel in Griffith Park. The scene in 'Diamonds in the Rough' is virtually an exact copy of the scene from 'Witness for the Persecution': General Lee enters tunnel:

Truck enters at the other end:

    Tunnel2_0403.jpg

General Lee makes it past the truck, through the tunnel, and out the other end:

    Tunnel3_0403.jpg

Bad guys have to reverse out the way they came in:

    Tunnel4_0403.jpg

If you look at the picture in the post above you'll see a couple of small changes:

    1) There appears to be a faded white sign over the entrance.

    2) There are yellow lines painted on the road.

    3) The gates open outwards instead of inwards.

  7. Everyone's right - 'A' is Mary Jo Catlett aka. Cousin Alice. She appears in two or three episodes and even gets to wear a Hawaiian shirt - can't see Cousin Alice doing that. Since then I've also seen the M*A*S*H episodes with Rick Hurst and Bernard Fox (Iggins from 'Southern Comfurts') in.

    Q. In 'RIP Henry Flatt', what date did Henry Flatt die (according to his headstone)?:

    A) April 12 1979

    B) May 12 1979

    C) June 12 1979

    D) July 12 1979

    E) August 12 1979

  8. It's really just an excuse to post an A/V mashup I came across recently that starts with this track. Normally mashups mix two songs together; this one mixes nine, including videos:

    The songs are:

Isaac Hayes - Theme from Shaft

John Williams - The Imperial March from Star Wars

    Leftfield - Phat Planet

    Chemical Brothers - Galvanize

Sugarhill Gang - Apache (Switch Remix - A bit patchy)

    Fatboy Slim - Praise You

Doug Wood Band - Drag Racer (BBC Snooker Theme)

Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

The Streets - Push things forward

I had never heard of Charles Aznavour until seeing the 1976 James Coburn film "Skyriders" (with Robert Culp. :))

I'd say he was well known to people my age (or maybe a bit older) over here. Elvis Costello's cover of Charles Aznavour's song was used on the soundtrack to the movie 'Notting Hill'.

  9. Don't know if John has a beard and a mustache in "I'm gonna Leave You Tomorrow" (Since I couldn't watch it. . .but if he didn't', my remark would not make any sense.

He had a beard and moustache in 'I'm Gonna Leave You Tomorrow', but not nearly on the same scale as the amount of hair he had in 'What's A Memory Like You (Doing In A Love Like This)'. Both John and Tom had facial hair in 'Christmas Comes To Willow Creek':

  10. ... Enjoyed, more so, the Nationwide Series race at Montreal since I knew more of the drivers.

I actually recognized quite a few. There was a good mixture of old and current IndyCar drivers as well as those from Sprint Cup. Jaques Villeneuve even drove F1 (the Montreal circuit is named after his father). Drivers don't really compete in different series concurrently over here.

  11. Hi Justin, welcome to HazzardNet. Sorry I missed your post, new members' first posts don't show up until they're moderated, and then they can slip through my net :).

As far as I know there wasn't a 24kt gold General Lee. Supercar Collectibles made 22kt gold Generals; they did 8 clean and 8 dirty, so they're pretty rare. The last clean ones I saw on ebay went for about $1500 each, and the last dirty ones were about $1000 each. Ertl also released a gold 'Barris' edition which was 18kt gold (different color finish) - they made 100 of these so, while slightly less rare, they're still several hundred dollars. The rarest that I own is the plain black 'Authentics' version by Supercar Collectibles - this is one of 150 made (and it's not for sale).

If you haven't found them already, you may find the links below of interest:
