This track samples the Bill Withers track 'I Can't Write Left-Handed' that I've just posted in Musical Chairs. Demons - Fatboy Slim feat. Macy Gray

    Welcome to HazzardNet :).

  3. I see the description of the jail sign says "Exhibits slight scuffs ..." - I don't anyone would doubt that this had an authentic connection to Rosco .
  4. Are you sure you don't mean Lulu . Maybe Dana circa 1970 for Daisy.
  5. Brian Cowen was the right shape for the costume. As the phrase nearly goes, "If the suit fits, wear it".
  6. Surely an Irish Dukes of Hazzard should be about illegally transporting poitín .
  7. Hola Carlos. Hay un nuevo miembro de la Argentina. Yo no quiero que los echo de menos.

    New from Argentina

  8. It's got nothing to do with Haley Barbour, but a story I read this morning did remind me of Boss Hogg. A group of thieves in Manchester, England spent a considerable amount of time tunneling 30m (100ft) into a Blockbuster store to steal a cash machine. It not that far from the plot of 'Lawman of the Year'. You can see the full story here.
  9. It does come with a wide and varied selection of autographs including Lee Meriwether, Sheldon Cooper's fourth favorite Catwoman (they were: Julie Newmar, Michelle Pfeiffer, Eartha Kitt, Lee Meriwether, Halle Berry). I'm not sure that driving around with those dynamite arrows on view is a good idea, although they'd be good for car shows. Sadly it's a lot out of my price range, but it would be nice to see what happens to it.
  10. Dragnet Another of Tom's '80s movies. Here's a couple of Tom Hanks funnies from somuchpun.com:
  11. Tom Hanks Sorry, it's what I thought of first .
  12. Maybe she was confusing him with Huggy Bear - an amusing mix-up considering some of Governor Barbour's past comments .
  13. I was going to post a question earlier tonight, and it was going to be "What's the next question, Roger?". Unfortunately, I'm not 100% sure of the answer, so I won't be posting it now . As Roger said, most of the last questions have been posted by himself or myself (with a few by Brian). If you have a challenge, feel free to post your question. Just don't leave us hanging too long for the correct answer .
  14. Well spotted Roger. I'd read the story of the pardons on the BBC, but they didn't make any Boss Hogg references. I try to avoid CNN in case I see Piers Morgan - it was nice of you guys to take him, but don't transmit him back here . I watched a video I found about Barbour, and thought I was going to be disappointed about a Dukes reference until this caption came up near the end (it's a shame that CNN can't spell, although I'd expect such inaccuracies from Fox ):
  15. There's actually a couple on the first page of this thread, but I uploaded them as attachments before I set up a Photobucket account. You don't get a close-up; from what I can find, he's supposed to be the guy with the hat (second from the right). So that non-members can see the picture, here it is:
  16. Ben is right near the beginning (just over four minutes in). When Big and Little Enos arrive at the Truck Roadeo they ask him where they can find Bandit (Little Enos even calls him Hoss ). He wasn't credited in the movie, and IMDb just calls him 'Trucker with the redhead'. Sonny's performance is also uncredited. IMDb refer to him simply as 'Motorcycle Cop'. As Snowman would say, "That's Mr. Evel Knievel. He snuck in my back door when I wasn't lookin'."
  17. Seeing as the 'Boyish' theme didn't work out, I'll continue with another legend . This song may be familiar from its appearance in The Blues Brothers, I think in the scene when they're heading to Bob's Country Bunker (where they have both kinds of music!). Sadly, this song and John Lee Hooker's other track from the movie ('Boom, Boom') failed to make it on to the soundtrack CD. Luckily I have them on other albums.

Here's a great chill-out tune accompanied by some beautiful images from nature.
  19. Well Capt., would you call these three legends?. Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy - The Andrews Sisters It was only when I was listening to this earlier that I realised it was source for the sample used in - we live and learn.
  20. Continuing the 'boyish' songs: From the days when pop songs lasted for two minutes .
  21. Welcome to HazzardNet :).

  22. I'm glad that you got to watch Dukes over the holidays. I hope you're settling in OK at HNet. Did you find an original Xbox to play your game on yet?.

  23. A 1981 hit for the Scottish one-hit-wonder aka. Mary Sandeman. The video is from the UK music show Top of the Pops, and features their in-house dancers Legs & Co. We did 'manly' songs a couple of months back - does anyone fancy carrying on the 'boyish' theme?.
  24. I noticed yesterday when new member napo (Ramiro) posted pictures in the Introduce Yourself thread that Argentina calls the series 'Los Duques de Hazzard', unlike in Spain where it's called 'Los Dukes de Hazzard' (see above). From what I can tell, some Spanish speaking countries such as Argentina and Peru use the former, while others like Spain and Mexico use the latter. Here's a clearer view of the cover: I also found a picture of most of the season 1 episode summaries from the same source. Just for a bit of fun, here's what they look like in (Argentinian) Spanish:
