Here are a couple of sites I had saved. The links are still working but not sure how old they are or when they were last updated. http://www.atlantatimemachine.com/dukes/thumbnails.htm http://www.dukesofhazzard01.com/hcbeforeandafter.html

I agree if that Roger. I am glad that Bubba Watson is actually enjoying the General Lee. Never mind the back story on the car, he seems proud to have it. I'm gone Darrell

Living in mid-michigan now, I have been to a few Tigers games. I like going to games, always a fun time at a ballpark. The thing is I am not much of an American League fan. Don't know why but most of the AL teams don't appeal to me. When the Mets played the Tigers last year here at Comerica Park, I was in heaven. Got ribbed a little but overall it was cool. Almost the same thing when went I went to a Red Wings/ NY Rangers game in Detroit, except it was a little more intense. BUT nothing beats going to a Dodgers/Mets game in Los Angeles. I was there on business and as a group went to the game. I was excited. Seeing the Mets in Dodger Stadium was exciting. Got my Piazza Mets jersey and hat on, sat in the all-you-can-eat seats in right field. I had an experience where I felt unsafe. I was actually a little scared. Got really ribbed and threatened for wearing my Mets jersey. But overall I love baseball and most fans are awesome. I'm gone Darrell

As far as interleague games, nothing beats the Mets/Yankees. That is an intense battle of NY. Coming from NY, you either love or hate the Mets or Yankees. There is no liking both teams. I love the METS and hate the Yankees. I'm gone Darrell

I was very happy yesterday. My METS won behind Johan Santana's awesome comeback performance beating the Braves 1-0. I was a little upset that I couldn't go to opening day since I don't live in the area anymre. Didn't even think of going to the Tigers opening day since i live in Michigan now. It also was awesome that they are wearing their classic pinstripe unifroms this season and dropped the black from it. Now they can lose the rest of the season but I would still love them. General Lee Ghost
Capt_Redneck replied to RogerDuke's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Collectibles & Memorabilia
From the picture on the box, I think I can barely see the bars of the Confederate flag. I see the General Lee on top of the door. Personally I think they photographed it so the flag wasn't shown or just very, very faintly indicated. Probably for "politically correct" purposes. Why would the flag not be included in the model since it is such an integral part of the General Lee? It SHOULD be in there. I'm gone Darrell -
General Lee Ghost
Capt_Redneck replied to RogerDuke's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Collectibles & Memorabilia
Thanks again Hoss for the picture and the link. I have not seen that either in stores. Models seems to less annd less existant in the big box stores. I don't even have a hobby shop locally. Closest one is like 45 to 60 minutes away. But that is what you get for moving into the country. I'm gone Darrell -
Carnival of Thrills General Lee Pictures
Capt_Redneck replied to kcowley1's topic in The General Lee
Roger Try Ebay for them. They aren't that expensive for a complete set. Well $30 - 50 depending on seller. I thought they would have gone for more. Here is a link to set on Ebay with a photo of the Carnival Of Thrills card as the auction picture. Dukes Of Hazzard card set I'm gone Darrell -
I agree with what you are saying about people wanting to have that simple life and the pleasures to go with it. I didn't get a chance to read the article but I do think that some of these shows are setting a trend in the good ol' USA with a lot people wanting to be more like them or at least in some way emulate their simplicity and uniqueness but also looking at those people in not so pretty light too. There is a fine line between uniqueness and carnival sideshow attraction and that is what I think a lot of the reality programs try to promote sublimely. I wish more people would tune in the Dukes and realize what family and fun is about. Shows like the DOH, Andy Griffith are what makes the simple life to me. For me the song that means the most to me - "Simple Man" Lynyrd Skynyrd. The lyrics alone have the truest meaning for me. I'm gone Darrell

Cheap General Lee, 1968 Charger
Capt_Redneck replied to Brian Coltrane's topic in General Lee & Dodge Charger Cars & Parts
Thanks for the link Hoss. That General Lee needs a lot of work. Looking at the pictures, it is definitely a project car in need of a very solid restoration. A lot of rust bubbles in the paint in the pictures and it looks like it neesds a new interior. I am sure there are tons more work that will be needed. I'm gone Darrell -

Just installed LED sequential tail lights in my General Lee
Capt_Redneck replied to TomBo's topic in The General Lee
That is really good that if fit right in. I like the look of the LEDs , I think they are safer and look great. I put them in my old Dodge pick-up. Made a huge difference. Darrell -
I thought of this song .

Sticking with U2 Hoss - pretty original cover of "The Fly". I like originallity like that . It immediately reminded me of band we have here in the USA called Hayseed Dixie. They do a ton of covers bluegrass style. I have a couple of CDs and they are a fun band to listen to. Check out this video from them - .

I like the LED lights. I think they look great. Did you have to do any fabrication to fit them in? Just make sure you don't get the "third" brake light.. I'm gone Darrell
