Daisy Duke Wardrobe Malfunction in Season 6
Capt_Redneck replied to TXZ045's topic in Cathy Bach / Daisy Duke
I watch the movie every now and then because I like it. I watch the DVD's over and over too bceause I like it, but I prefer season 1 the best because to me it was more real. What language are you talking about? My signature? Come off of it. I have had that on here for a very long time. So back off on that one as I never use bad language or call anyone anything here. You seem to only agree on what YOU think is righteous and want it changed bacause of that. Yes the Dukes is Family entertainment and so is this site, and it is not a morals site either. Everyone has opinions on how the Dukes, coul have, should have, would have been. I love this site more than anything because it is a true Dukes fan site, but the morality issue is getting too much in a lot of topics. at least for me anyway. Ya'll can say what you will about morals and such as you don't know mine or what I believe and don't make any insuations at all about it. I will NOT tell others how to live their lives or what to believe in or preach so please do the same on here if you have any respect. This is not the Moral Majority. I stand on my beliefs and convictions more than you will ever know , so don't go there at all. What you choose to follow or believe is your choice and your choice alone. I am not here to judge that will be done by someone else. Darrell -
Should newer movie actors be at Dukesfest?
Capt_Redneck replied to TimDuke's topic in DukesFest & Other Events
It is interesting to see people's reactions to hypothetical situations. I say bring it on - let em' announce Johnny Knoxville and Sean William Scott will be at DukesFest 2008 . Just kidding. Ya'll know my opinion on the movie and if not go over to the movie section and read some of my posts. It wouldn't matter to me one way or another if they were there or not. But I wouldn't cause such an uproar about it if they were. I'm back Darrell -
Daisy Duke Wardrobe Malfunction in Season 6
Capt_Redneck replied to TXZ045's topic in Cathy Bach / Daisy Duke
First of all , Roger , please don't say the majority of HNet when it comes to saying something in a negative way about someone on here. TX just pointed out something that was interesting to people and he did it over a YEAR ago. He didn't focus on something as he all he did was just bring attention to a little detail. Also please get your facts straight about the majority of the public getting the series moved to California. It was initially a cost factor and wanted to keep the series on TV. Keeping production on the road was too cost prohibitive at the time. There should be no need to debate this or even bring this to point we have here. MaryAnne has spoken and is ok with everything. I understand some people are upset with this kind of topic, but please re-read the entire thread. You will NOT find anything sexual or obscene written or even alluded to. Everyone has the right on here to voice their opinions about it. Ya'll have done it with the respect that would make the Dukes proud. But also think about this - As stated before, the topic was posted over a year ago and it took this long to say something about it, why? If it was too offensive to some of you why post on it at all, the thread could have been just a nother dead one then. I'm Back Darrell -
TOTO was the name of the band. Darrell

Wishing everyone here and their families a very Merry Chrismas and Happy Holidays. This is my home and it is always great to come back to it. Roger - you have been such a great addition to the HNet family. I love your wisdom, always spoken like a true Duke. To all the fine writers of the fan fics - I have read some of the most incredible stoies on here in the past few years. Ya'll have kept up the spirit and continued the Duke legacy in grand fashion. To everyone who posts, we always have kept things like family should be and not get carried away- well most of the times at least. You are the best family I have on the Net. And I am not forgetting the BEST mods in the world on any site. Brian, MaryAnne nad Meadowmufn. You have kept the peace and have been nothing but respectful to everyone. You know I cannot praise the you guys enough. Here's hoping everyone gets everything from Santa, Ya'll deserve it. Now don't drink too much EggNog. Darrell

That is exactly what should be done. Wait until it is actually here and judge for yourselves. You never know . it might be good or irt might not be. There is no need to rip something apart based on speculation or internet heresay likes others have done so far. Remember what opinions are like, every one has one and that includes me. Should newer movie actors be at Dukesfest?
Capt_Redneck replied to TimDuke's topic in DukesFest & Other Events
Heck the war already started about the 2005 movie. I guess I was the one standing alone about the movie. I grew up on the series and LOVED the 05 movie, one of a few who did on any Dukes site. But that is another story. Dukesfest should be about the Dukes, all Dukes including Byron Cherry and Christopher Mayer. Would anybody have any issues if a 2005 movie car was there or any of stunt crew from the movie? I highly doubt it, just as long as the actors aren't there, right? . To me that is wrong. I understand that every one holds the TV show sacred, me included and Dukesfest was intended about the series. But I still wouldn't mind seeing the new Dukes. Darrell -
Great idea that you had RogerDuke. I would love to join in this party and get back to my old HazzardNet. I can't promise Iwill be there since the little one arrrived I am trying to catch up on sleep. Gotta love the egg nog this time of year. I'm back Darrell

Some people who enjoyed the movie wouldn't mind them being there. Plus it would be very unDuke like to snub the event because they didn't like the movie. To me that isn't a stand on principles but a sign of immaturity. After all if the 2005 movie wasn't made, would there be this level of fandom? Personally I think not. CMT, ABC Family, WB revived the franchise and pushed it to the next level. I know the "true" Dukes fans will say different. Like I have said from the beginning, nothing will ever beat the original. But the 2005 movie sure was fun. I could care less if I ruffle any feathers with this. I'm Back Darrell -
I have to say it is great to be back here as a regular now. I missed the site and all the good people on here. Finally very happy to get the internet again although I have it at work but am very limited. Too many stories to catch up on in the fiction area, but I will get through em'. I am ready to get cuffed and stuffed again. Darrell

Thank you for the welcome back. It's great to be in Hazzard -net. Been trying to catch up on a ton of posts. Just got our first real snow here in my area of Michigan. So far about 5 inches and expecting up to 11. Great to be home with the kids and especially the baby watching the snow. I'm back Darrell

C.D. Parker was the retired Texas Ranger/ Bartender / Bar owner of C.D.'s One of my all time favorite shows. I loved the "Sons Of Thunder" characters - Trent Malloy and Carlos Sandoval. Glad they had there own series , even for a short time. Loved Trent's convertible Vette. I like Sydney and Gage. They worked so well together. I didn't like the last TV movie. Trivette had only a cameo and Sydney wasn't evern in it. I am hoping they make at least one more to wrap up everything. I'm back Darrell

Hey everyone here at H-Net. It has been too long for me not to be on here. Have had a lot going on this year with work and family. And it is all good. First off - I got a promotion for my company back in June. I was transfered from Long Island to Ann Arbor , Michigan(company headquarters). Big change. I moved out here immediately while my wife and kids stayed trying to sell our house in NY. Well that hasn't turned out so well, real estate market is horrible. They came out Labor Day weekend and found a bigger apartment so my kids could start school and not transfer in the middle of the year. Right before Thanksgiving we finally got an offer for our house and accepted it. That was a big weight lifted. We just the contracts and inspection done this week. Whew. Now the hard part is trying to find a house here just right for my family. Now the best news of all. just when I accepted the position , my wife told me she was pregnant. I still have mixed feelings on being apart adn the stress of of everything(moving, selling a house, not having a house yet). She gave birth Thursday morning to our fourth child. A happy healthy baby boy - Nicholas Matthew. I am so excited. Can't wait until we are complete again with the house for raising the kids. So long story short. it has been an eventful year for my family and I so far. So hope to hear from ya'll soon. I'm back Darrell

Does anyone think that there will be...
Capt_Redneck replied to The_Dukes_Generl_Lee01's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
Tim & Roger ...... Your points on a third reunion are right on the mark. That is one reason why I enjoyed the 05 movie, knowing the original cast couldn't do the same thing as they did 25 years earlier. As far as a third reunion movie I am sure every Duke fan would love it. BUT with that said the "reunion"/retrospective specials do work. Happy Days, Andy Griffith, One Day At A Time all got decent to better ratings. Now here is the BUT, it basically was done on the season 1 DVD set with the exception of Tom Wopat and with the Inside Fame episode on CMT. Maybe a better retrospective show could be made , who knows..Nobody's getting any younger. I'm gone Darrell -
They failed to mention that the Rev Willie G (Billy Gibbons - ZZ Top) did a lot of the guitar parts of the score with Nathan Barr. Lukas - glad you enjoyed the movie....... I'm gone Darrell

Poll for Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning
Capt_Redneck replied to Meadowmufn's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
Like I have always said time and time again - "Nothing will ever beat the original series".....Sure it was done a 100+ different ways BUT how many times can Boss Hogg try and frame the Dukes. Yeah I have all seven season boxsets and the 05 movie (PG13 and Unrated), don't have or want the "The Beginning". I find myself watching the PG13 version and a some of the episodes more than most of the series. I'm gone Darrell -
Pretty sure you are not allowed to drink actual beer or liquor on TV. Some sort of thing that doesn't get past the censors. I'm gone Darrell

Yeah.....It's like watching paint dry..... I'm gone Darrell -
Actually the legal drinking age when this was filmed was 18. It changed to 21 in 1984 by a US Federal Law "The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984". So therefore Bo would have been at least 18. And getting out of the Marine Corps. , to me means anywhere from a 2 - 4 year service. But looking at it , it is Hazzard. The time frames doesn't really fit a lot of times. The way I look at it , it is stories that were passed along, you know the kind where something gets different along the lines. I'm gone Darrell

"The Beginning" DVD debuts at #16

If they do, it would most likely be the "new" Enos & Daisy. The originals would have had grandkids by now.... -
I prefer "The King" Richard Petty.

Welcome back..... First of all, I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my father back in 1988 when I was 17 due to cancer. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him . I miss him still. You will get through this. I know it sounds too easy , but keep writing , I am sure it will help you out. If you feel like just ranting about anything, please do so. We are all here after all this HazzardNet..... I'm gone Darrell

"The Beginning" ~ An Online Review
Capt_Redneck replied to GADuke01's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
While I disagree mostly with his take on the 2005 movie( it was just as much fun as Smokey & The Bandit to me , but we won't get into that again here since it is not the popular opinion), I agree 1000% with his take on this Direct to DVD one. I had this feeling about this movie when they announced the "prequel" as a Direct-To-DVD movie. This one was just not good. Maybe if they do it as series it might do slighty better. Funny thing is the people I "dsiagreed" with on 2005 movie I am in total agreement with them on this one. Go figure...... I'm gone Darrell -
