  1. I'm watching. Sorry, Rog, I'm rooting for the Bears. And they're winning right now.
  2. When we played, he'd always warn people about me. LOL. I regularly beat him. The most fun I had was playing Delta Force 2 with a grenade launcher. He'd be a little speck on the horizon in a dead run. I'd shoot my grenade ahead of him and he'd run right into the explosion. Got him nearly every time. He forbade me from using grenade launchers. LOL! And in Rainbow Six, I'd sneak up behind him and wait for him to turn around, then BLAM! LOL. The best, though, was when we played co-op. We'd get to the stairs, knowing there was a sniper up above, and we'd be like "You first." "No, you go on." "Age before beauty." LOL. Occasionally, he'd try throwing a grenade up the stairs, only to have it bounce back and kill us both. ROFL. Fun times.
  3. Oh, the noise wasn't from thunder. They get really loud and rowdy there. One of the workers at one of the coffee shops I frequent at work had been to the game and he was deaf and nearly mute. LOL.
  4. Nice to see you back, John! Yeah, that's a makeshift General alright. A vehicle of some sort and some paint is all it takes. LOL.
  5. I gotta give a cheer for my Seahawks! And congrats to the 12th man for breaking the record for loudest stadium/crowd.
  6. You know, Jimmie's pretty tough on computers too. I don't know what he did, but once he screwed up his pc so badly that I had to reinstall windows for him. Every time I visited him, I spent some time doing tech support. LOL.
  7. Wow, Rog. Sorry you're having so many computer problems. I hope you can figure out a solution soon.
  8. Hey, Justin, feel free to post a link to your page in this thread. And, of course, we'd appreciate a link back to HazzardNet on your site. I literally LOL'd at the cartoon guy peeing on Knight Rider.
  9. I'm exhausted. Last week I had some cardio tests done and lab tests up the wazoo (not literally. LOL). The doc started me on some heart meds and she wants to give me B-12 shots once a week because my B-12 levels were way below the normal range. She also upped my thyroid meds. In short, I was a mess, but hopefully when the B-12 and thyroid meds kick in, I'll be feeling better.
  10. It's mostly "buy this" from China type stuff. We already have a captcha for registering, but I'm not sure we can add a captcha to just the first few posts. Yeah, the colors on the new forum have been the bane of my existence. LOL. I'll try to fix the graphics colors soon.
  11. The reason first posts are monitored is to cut down on spammers. We really don't get a whole lot of spam lately. If I removed that restriction, do you think you all could use the reporting option to report any spam posts? That way, new users could get a timely welcome and hop right into talking Dukes.
  12. Corndog! I remember you. It's been a while. I'm sure you have an old account around here somewhere. In any case, welcome back!
  13. This is a very cool project, CD. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  14. I've stickied all the threads mentioned so far and will be creating a resource page soon. Thanks, y'all! Keep 'em coming.
  15. I'm putting together a list of the best threads on HazzardNet. Feel free to post your nominations here (preferably with links to save me time in looking them up).
  16. Roger's post reminded me of something. If there are any threads that aren't "stickied" to the top of a sub-forum and you think they should be, please list them here. I'd also like to develop a "best of HazzardNet" list of threads to point new folks to, so feel free to nominate. I have the feeling a lot of them will be Hoss' threads.
  17. That's a good suggestion, Hoss. I don't think there's a way to change the timestamp on the post, unfortunately, but I'll see if there's a way for me to get an email or something when there's a post in moderation. Feeling a little better today, but still far from 100%... not even 50%. I had to drag myself to work today because I have no sick leave and I have big bills to pay. Fortunately, everybody else there has this cold already, so I'm not infecting anybody...
  18. I'm going to be changing things up in the forums here and I want your input on a few things: 1) Are there any sub-forums you'd like to be removed? They will be archived, not deleted. 2) Are there any sub-forums you think we can merge? (I'm thinking Latest News and Dukes of Hazzard News to start...) 3) Which sub-forums do you use the most and would like to be moved near the top? Feel free to post a list of the way you think the sub-forums should be listed top to bottom. That's it to start. I'll be posting some more questions for input later.
  19. Hey folks, just checking in. I can't seem to catch a break. I'm home sick today. Of course, with my compromised immune system, I catch EVERY bug that goes around... sometimes twice. I did manage to update the front page with some news about the next Hazzard Homecoming and I'm doing a little tweaking here and there, but probably won't get much more done before crawling back into bed. Thanks to you all for holding down the fort in my absence.
  20. Thanks, Roger. It's hard enough to deal with a bad headache, but to have them every day for a week is incredibly draining. Then, to have other health problems on top of that... I really hope you're right that I'm due for some good luck soon.
  21. Sorry I haven't been on. No relief yet. Headaches all week, including today, now with heart problems thrown into the mix and an ER visit earlier this week. I can't get in to see my doctor 'til September, but hopefully she'll have some answers.
  22. The migraine lasted from Friday night until Sunday evening. I wish I could say I was doing great now, but I had an ice pick headache last night and I'm dealing with the aftermath... very fatigued and sore. I'm really, really tired of dealing with headaches. I've had CT scans, sinus endoscopy, tried all sorts of different meds... Ugh. Docs can't seem to find out for certain why I have them.
  23. I think CMT dropping the show has made an impact in interest. Things always pick up when it's on air here in the US. Sorry I haven't been on much lately. I've been meaning to do some updates to the forums and site, but between work and my health, I just haven't been online much in the evenings to work on my sites. I hope to do some of the maintenance I had planned this weekend. I had a migraine last weekend, so that took care of that.
  24. We did have a Facebook Like button for a while. I'll look into adding it back.
  25. You shouldn't worry about it. My maternal grandfather died at 46. Mom's lived longer than her dad so far by several decades. Both my dad's parents died at 69. He's lived longer than them as well. One of my old softball teammates from high school made sports and fitness her career. She was only a few years younger than I and in much, much better physical shape when she died at the age of 31 from an undiagnosed heart problem. She was talking to her family one second and the next, on the floor dead. Very shocking and tragic, but we never know when it will be our time. So, live life as much as you can, appreciate your blessings and loved ones, and don't waste time on the negative and unimportant.
