TRP Coltrane - the game is asolutely FREE! Otherwise I wouldn't be playing that or any other fantasy sport I am playing. On some sites you do pitch in to play and who ever wins gets all that money, but yahoo you don't pay a dime to play. Nor get anything if you win...other than a cyber award. HA. When I started this thread, I had posted the rules and how to play, but it is always good to get refreshed. Just don't feel like you have to agree w ith it if you are not interested in it. Each race week you will have to chose eight drivers...drivers you feel will have the best start and finish to the race (usually you have to pick them out two days before the race or qualifing run). There is three categories...A, B, C -I think the drivers are put in the categories as to how they ran last season. A is the top notch drivers. Drivers that usually have the best finishes, the most wins. B are the good drivers that will win every once in awhile and have an average finish. C are the underdog drivers - drivers that don't normally finish all that well. Every week you chose two drivers from the A category. One will be the starter driver - the driver where points will be given to where they start, how many laps they led, and where they finish. The bench drivers only get points as to where they start - don't matter if they lead a lap or even if they finish the race. Then you chose four drivers from the B category - two starter drivers and two bench drivers. And for the C category you chose one starter and one for the bench. (For an example, here is what my team consisted of last year for Daytona: Group A: Jeff Gordon (S) Jimmie Johnson ( Group B: Dale Jr (S) Jamie McMurray (S) Ryan Newman ( AJ Allmendinger ( Group C: Michael Waltrip (S) Paul Menard () Now you can only start a driver NINE times throughout the entire season. You can use them as bench drivers as often as you like. For example: I can only pick Gordon nine times...or the list of your favorite drivers, you can only use one of them nine times. So you can't use one driver all the time...otherwise you will not get points after you use them for the nine races. Also for scoring wise...they have a spring, summer, and playoff section where you get ranked as to how you did compared to other people who are playing in your league. And then they have a full season where it ranks how you did all year long. Last year I think I finished eightth over all...not where I wanted to be, but it is fun all the same. Gives you more than just your normal drivers to go for. If you or anyone else has any questions please let me know and I will answer them to the best of my ability. Am looking forward to Daytona...28 more days!

I know...figured I'd let Garrett play along.

Miss you? *Suspiciously eyes you* Don't know if that is what I'd call it, but guess it is nice to see you back. That is until you started threaten to vandalize my motorcycle and car. *Eyes the key ring with even more suspious* What's that for? *Is slow to accept it* Thanks. I think.
-
*Angry look* How dare YOU even think of such a thing! *Shudders at the thought* No one touches my motorcycle or my car...especially YOU! *Takes a step forward* Think it is best for you to get back to where ever you came from! CDoherty95 - Garrett appreciates you stepping up for him and his motorcycle his one of two prized possessions. His car and his motorcycle.

I use to love that show! Had to admit Luke was my favorite character. Perhaps it was his name and appearance, but he was always so nice and friendly - except to the mayor of course. HA HA. They had some cute and funny lines in the show...and yes I remember Jess too. He did have an attitude problem if I remember right. Been a few years since I actually sat down and watched it. Was always sad that Lorelei and him never really got married...unless they did in later episodes. Don't think I've seen 'em all. Did associate Luke's name with Luke, but that is as far as it had went for me Duke wise. Thanks for pointing all that out. Never knew about the restaurant almost being ran by a Daisy...I'd have missed Luke if they did that though.

Awesome picks you two! -
Well last year I didn't have anyone who wanted to join a fantasy NASCAR team, but thought I would put it on the table if anyone would be interested in it. Would love to start my own team if I could find anyone who would want to join in my team. If not, that is OK too. Just signed up for my second team for this year and the 2012 NASCAR season is still 29 days away. Same rules and all that stuff still applies that I posted in my original post from last year. It is rather simple and I found it easier than the baseball, football, basketball, and hockey ones that I have done this year. Not that they were hard, but this one is a tad simpler just because you can chose from all the drivers each and every week - though you can only use the driver nine times throughout the season...for example - I can only use Jeff Gordon for nine races (as the starter...you can use them as the bench drivers as much as possible). If you have any questions or are interested please let me know either on here or through PM.

I would love to write Bo! You want him wrote like in my stories where he has asthma? (Just want to understand...) I could use both of my characters unless that is too much. Perhaps could use Kristy a tad more than Garrett? Kristy would be a more sympathetic character than Garrett. Garrett tends not to show any emotions...he seems to think it makes him weak or something like that. Garrett and Bo may be twins, but they are NOTHING alike and don't get along for it too. K-Duke, it is fine with me if you want to write with us...just as long as it is with Countrygirl. The more the merrier, I say, as long as we are all on the same page about the story.
-
I am willing to be the co writer as long as it is known that I don't have a lot of time and won't be able to write on a daily basis. Only when time allows and when I am not writing my own story. I have two characters, Kristy and Garrett, and at the time don't know which one I'd want to go with. Would like to use LB if Kristy is there. Am not the best beta reader, but can do my best. My computer does have a spelling editor on it. . .just let me know.

Pocono Raceway founder and patron Mattioli dies
Garrett Duke replied to TRPColtrane95's topic in NASCAR
So sad to see a great man in NASCAR pass away. May his soul rest in peace. Love Pocono - it is such a unique track! -
(((HUGS)))) Sending thoughts and prayers your way. Hope you get feeling better soon. I am so sorry you have to go through all that. It sounds really scary!

You don't sound like you're a too big of a fan of Greg Biffle? Well y'all know he's not my favorite or second favorite, but I do like the Biff. Felt bad for him and Jeff Burton this year - they both seemed to have HORRIBLE luck and am hoping for better luck for both of them this year - though not as much luck as Gordon and Johnson.
-
Sending my thoughts and hugs your way. Hope this new injection will help you feel better and that things will soon get better for you all together.

Thanks for posting those TRP Coltrane. Read the Gordon article yesterday and really have to agree with him. I hope they don't move to more technology than they already have. Especially if it means that they won't be able to pass very much on track. Always love it when Gordon qualifies well, but would hate to rely on that only. It is just as great to see him be able to move up the field and pass everyone during the race as it is to qualify well. Would find that very discouraging and frustrating. Would love to visit Jr's small town. Have heard of it and saw it on the tv I believe, but it is great to see it again. Almost forgot he had that!

Love this song...as I do with most of McGraw's music. In fact, am excited about his new CD coming out this Tuesday! The CD this song came on was the very first CD I owned...given to me by my sister!

HazzardNet Needs Your Help!
Garrett Duke replied to Brian Coltrane's topic in HazzardNet Announcements
Have liked Hnet on FB for awhile now, though if I could like it again, I would. Love the short videos you send on there...makes me remember why I love the Dukes so much. Also makes me realize just how much I miss watching the show...due to the lack of time I haven't put in a DOH DVD in a long time. Shame on me! Thanks for the updates...and thanks for all you do on this site. You help keep the great show of the Dukes of Hazzard alive and kicking! -
Thought it should be something like that...thanks for clearing that up.

Well I just got some great news on my Facebook account...guess I'd get it at NASCAR.com too, but since I went to FB first, I got it there first...but through NASCAR.com if that makes sense. (I have liked NASCAR.com so their posts to their page goes to my page...) Anyway...Roger you're gonna love this...David Ragen has found a ride in the number 34 Front Row Race. He will join David Gulliland in their two car team. He will be driving Fords...Guilliland drove number 34 last year, but will be racing in the same team, but under the number 38. Oh I got a fun fact for you Roger...if you ever in Georgia, you may have to look it up. David Ragen owns a Ford Dealership in South Georgia. Then again, must be a popular side job or business choice for drivers to own a car dealership since Jeff Gordon has one. Think Mark Martin has one...Am starting to see a trend here. Though if I am understanding correctly, Ragen is going to have to qualify into each race whereas with Rousch, due to owner and car points, he was always locked in. He is already locked into Daytona's race since Guilliland finished within the top 35 in points....
