  1. Well it is now the end of March and I am not much better than I had been when I had stated my resolution to not be as lazy. So, I am going to count me out of the contest. I should have stopped and thought of my resolution before stating it...at least more than I had. Winter is always the longest and hardest season for me emotionally, so I should have put that in as a factor in it. Not that I am making excuses for it, because there is no excuse. I failed the contest. Though I am out, I will attempt to work at getting more things done and not being as lazy, especially now that it is or should be getting warmer out. (Hard to say that today, after it snowed all afternoon! Doesn't the weather know it is spring and that once it starts to warm up, it is suppose to stay warm? LOL) Anyway, how is everyone else doing that had signed up for the contest? I hope that you all are doing better than I have done. Good luck to you all!
  2. Will you still accept a challenge story if it is late? Sadly to say, I highly doubt that I will be able to finish the story before the thirty-first of this month. That is unless I somehow find a lot of spare time to sit down to write and that my uncooperative muses begin to cooperate with me (either of which, I highly doubt will happen). Though, I have had more motivation with this story as of late, I still lack the time to be able to get it all done thoroughly before the end of the month and I want to give the story at least some justice before sending it in. If it isn't acceptable and all that, I will understand. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
  3. Hi Julie...nothing is going on here today. How about you?

  4. Jessi - I am sorry to hear that you lost your job today! I hope that things will turn around for you real soon and that things will get better for you.
  5. Hope you had a special and wonderful birthday last Sunday, Daisy!
  6. Remember me? Long time no see...I hope all is going well with you! I hope that Lori and your other muses are being nice to you as well.

    Keep it between the ditches

  7. Wow James...what a wonderful talent you have there! Everything you have shown has great detail and color in it, and looks real! Thank-you for sharing it with us!
  8. Thank-you for the videos and for posting the article...enjoyed watching them. It was great and emotional seeing Jimmie meeting his brother. It was also great to see Boss, Cletus, and Daisy as well. Looked like a fun event to go to. Also enjoyed the video with the dog. Don't think he was too happy about getting out of the chair though. I was expecting to hear him bark, though it surprised me all the same. I think it made me jump a foot when he did so. Thank-you to all that posted the videos and the newspaper article. I enjoyed reading the article and watching the videos.
  9. Bet he was good and believeable. I missed the show, but I am sure with him on it, it was a good episode.
  10. Welcome to Hazzardnet, Southern Flo! Glad to meet another Duke fan...I am sure you will find plenty of good things to do and see and to talk about around here.
  11. I am with you one hundred percent, Roger. I was talking about when the show had originally ended back in 1985 that it would have beena little nice to have them put a closure on the show. It definately would not work now without Jesse, Boss, or Waylon. When I think of the Dukes, I too, would like to picture it as the original show with the original characters doing all that they had done on the show. I wouldn't want to change anything about the original show or the characters - to attempt to do anything now, would kinda put a damper on things I think.
  12. Thanks for the info - I bet that will be an awesome episode/show to catch that night! CSI seems pretty popular right now - I myself have never seen it - but it will be good for John to be on a popular show like that. Hope you will get to enjoy it on your birthday! Happy Early Birthday! Lucky you get to celebrate it with John !
  13. I would enjoy watching it, but then again, I'd enjoy watching anything Dukes...original Dukes that is. LOL - had to clearify that. Anyways, it would definately put a closure to the show - a sense of an ending and so on. Also give an sense that life went on for the Dukes and in Hazzard - just not exactly how it was aired on the show. It would be neat if they would have done that for the Dukes or any shows out there instead of just ending the show. Good idea.
  14. Awww don't beat yourself up over it, Lori! You can never pay too much respect or too many tributes to such a talented man as Waylon. May his soul rest in peace! He is missed greatly!
  15. Hopefully not and hopefully you are right. :)

  16. Tell me about it! LOL...I've got three stories going and they both are at a halt. Perhaps my muses are telling me it is time to give it up. . .

  17. Know how that goes. Am attempting to write Numb3rs, but don't know how to get the chapter going...in matter of fact, am having the same trouble with Dukes. ERRR LOL

  18. I am glad to hear that. Hope your muses are treating you well ;)

  19. Well if I had the money and the means, I would quit my job and work on writing full time, but then again, it is probably for the best that I am unable to quit my job and work full time at writing. LOL...I am sure I am not the best writer or would make it very far even if I attempted to do so. So I guess I'll stay with the job I've got. As for a Hazzard job...hmmm that is a good question. Be horrible working on cars or working at the Boar's Nest. Since I do work at a day care, perhaps I could open my own day care in town...Or work at the orphanage, that would be a sad but rewarding job.
  20. Hey Lori, long time no see. I hope all is going well with you!

  21. I am glad to hear that Harry was able to awaken from his coma and able to write you (MM) an update - thank-you for keeping us all updated on Harry's conditions, MM. Harry and his family will remain in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there, Harry!
  22. Well I don't know exactly what my favorite funniest moments on the Dukes are...but the scene that automatically pops in my head is (I can't think of the episode off the top of my head) is Rosco chasing the boys in cirlces around the town square and hits a parked vehicle and he states that he should write the vehicle up for drunk parking. Or something to that effect (sounds funnier coming from him!) but it cracks me up everytime I see it. Or in Deputy Dukes when the boys are deputize and walk out covering their faces and climb into the back seat...and later in the episode when they are being chased and that poor farmer kept trying to get out of his truck only to have the boys and the bad guys come back at him. He finally pulls up and gets out the other side...or something like that. Just to name a couple. . .
  23. I have a quick question...for the challenges, can we use author created characters or is it to be only the show characters to be used?
  24. Harry and his family are in my thoughts and prayers in their difficult time. Hang tough, Harry.
