  1. Dwight looks really young in this video...love his music and really miss hearing him on the radio. Would love to see him in concert. I was going to put down his "Guitars Cadillack" song when it was on the guitar thread until I saw that line had ended and thought of this song with Hoss' song. Hope your video works better than mine...the image kept freezing up, but he kept singing...
  2. Gotta miss ol' Waylon. Love this song!
  3. Well the Sprint Cup boys are going to Talledega this Sunday afternoon at 2:00 EST...a track that is fast and very unpredictable. A track known to produce the big one that could take out half the field if the drivers aren't lucky. Just ask Carl Edwards how fast and dangerous Talledega could be... Gotta love Carl Edwards...was so glad that he was OK after it - loved seeing him run across the start finish line afterwards. Felt bad for Edwards and glad teh catch fense was there - though people in the stands did get hurt.Hopefully we will not see that or anything like that this Sunday...after Dan Wheldon's fateful accident, we don't need to see another scary one like that. Qualifying will be held Saturday so don't know the starting line up as of yet. Gordon and Jr hold the record for the most wins...Gordon with six and Jr with five. Am hoping Gordon will earn another victory Sunday - after the last two races, he is very well in need of it!
  4. Oops sorry. Though see it still applies to your edited version. Ha. As I said, I kid because I care. I am excited for them all, but do have to say I am more excited for Darrell Waltrip and Cale than the others. They are all deserving of it. I get Darrell Waltrip's posts on my facebook account and he is really excited about it! Dang I miss ol' DW...can't wait til February and Daytona and hear his "Boogity, boogity, boogity" once again. Talking about DW...his baby brother, Micheal (or Mikey) will be racing at 'Dega this weekend. Am really excited...I like Michael and he is great at restrictor plate racing. Hope he can come home with a top ten or even a win (as long as Gordon comes in second!). He use to race full time now only races a handful of races and is a car owner...he owns Martin Truex Jr's car, David Reutimann, and part of Bobby Labonte (I think.). Am looking forward to seeing Michael race again!
  5. Nice after thought there Roger...and also the others. HA. We all know who's your favorite on the list, now don't we? HA HA (As Fox NASCAR announcer Chris Meyers says "I kid because I care" )
  6. Thanks. I was going for your Brewers to knock 'em out as well for the same reason plus they are the Cubs rivalry so who wants 'em to make it all the way. Ha. Guess there are some happy Card fans out there somewhere. Well Brian, hopefully next year, it will be my Cubs vs your Brewers in the play offs. That'd make for a great match!
  7. I am so happy for them all...all deserving of the honor. But especially for Darrell and Cale. I love DW and wish they'd stick on FOX for the Sprint Cup races so I can hear him every race. He puts such enthusiasm into it and you can tell he just lives for NASCAR. He's just awesome ... as a person and a driver. And of course for Cale with his connections to the Dukes and for what he has done for the sport as well.
  8. Well Brian my condolences go out to you and your Brew-crew on their loss...but take it from this die hard Cubs fan, at least they made it to the post season. With that said, they may have lost to the Cardinals, but they had a heck of a season to get to the post season - the Cardinals had to fall back on the Wild Card if I am remembering correctly. Always good to see a bad luck team get a little good luck and good talent to make a good year - if that makes any sense. Gives me some hope for next year. HA HA I'm sticking to my yearly slogan...Next year is gonna be their (Cubs) year. Am already looking forward to April 5th. . .
  9. Thanks for the article, Hoss. You are welcome...wish I was spreading more better news that this. Was very disappointed by last night's race, but now it shows that it could always be worse than what it was. Very sad for Dan and his family that are now having to face this tragedy. So very sad. Just got done reading the article and saw the video of the wreck. So how very scary that had to have been for ALL the drivers. It was scary just watching the video. . . I am sure Dan would like to be remembered by his wins and accomplishments. Looks to have been a talented driver... RIP DAN WHELDON
  10. Just got word on my Facebook account that Indy Car lost a driver today...Dan Wheldon. It says they were racing at Las Vegas and Wheldon was in a 13 car accident on turn two. May Wheldon rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are going out for him, his famiy, and friends as they face this terrible loss.
  11. Jesse Duke hears a sigh escape from him as he eyes this month's monthly bank statement that only increases the stress within him. There had been a day when he was able to keep caught up with the bills and had enough money stashed away in case of an emergency. But that had been back in the day when the boys and him were still runnin' shine. But now? He's having a hard time keeping up with the bills and the mortgage and then to add on food and anything else they may need. Luckily him and his family were healthy and were barely ever sick, but if the boys ever got in an accident or Daisy were to get sick, he wouldn't know how he'd be able to pay for the medical bills. "Something wrong, Jesse?" Daisy asks, breaking the silence behind him. He slightly jumps at her question and turns around to face her as she continues to wash this morning's dishes. He finds himself shaking his head, knowing it would be best not to tell anyone about their financial worries. Not until it was neccessary. As of now he was still paying the bills and until he was no longer able to do so, he refused to give his adult kids anything more to worry about. "Ah nothing," he lies as she shoves the statement into his pocket and forces a smile as he pats her on the shoulder, "just wonderin' where the boys are. Sent 'em out over an hour ago and yet nothing." "Ah Jesse you worry too much. You know how they are," she states calmly as she turns around to give him a care free smile, "they probably stopped at Cooter's and go caught up talking and all." Jesse laughs. "I know damn well how they are which what leads me to worrying. Sure they could have gotten stopped by Cooter, but they could have also got caught up by Rosco and now sit in jail while they wait for Hogg to let them make their one phone call. To me," he states half heartedly. She shrugs. "Very true...but that wouldn't be their fault. It'd be our crooked law's fault and would be due to them framing 'em. Not Bo and Luke," Daisy states strongly, "and if that is the case, we'll worry about it when the time comes. As for now," she pauses to turn around to face her dishes and movement out of the window catches her eye. A smile spreads across her pretty face as the orange muscle car slowly turns into their drive way, "well Jesse, hate to break it to you. You're wrong." "Wrong?" he questions as he moves towards the living room. "How?" "They boys aren't in jail waiting to make their phone call to you from jail. They're pulling into the drive as we speak," she gives him a smile, "I bet you a pie that they stopped to talk to Cooter." Jesse smiles back. "I'd love a pie. You're on." (CUE ANYONE)
  12. Love Toby Keith's music...this is his new song and once again...I love it! Just awesome!
  13. You just had to prove me wrong. HA HA. Guess I only owned his first album and that is the only one that I really remember. Do like Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean (in fact am listening to him now) and like both songs you listed above.
  14. Once again, I love this song. It has been awhle since I heard this song and of David Lee Murphy . . .one of those artist who only had a couple of hits before disappearing. Too bad too. Great song though! If I am remembering correctly, this was his first song that he came out with.
  15. Congrats i1976 on an honor well deserved!
  16. Well the race at Charolette just got over and Matt Kenseth went on to get his third win of the season. Glad for Kenseth and all his fans... The first 3/4th of the race was kinda long and not a whole lot happened. A few cautions for debri. Trevor Bayne, 2011 Daytona 500 winner, started tenth and had a fast car...but ran out of gas half way through and finished a couple of laps down. Greg Biffle led a lot of laps until his pit crew didn't put on a lugnut and put him a lap down but he was able to come up with a decent finish. Kyle Busch led a lot of laps until Matt Kenseth passed him with several laps to go. Jeff Gordon had a dismal day today. He started 23rd place...stayed back there most of the day as he was unable to turn his car and pass people. With 45 or so laps to go, he was able to make into the 7th place during a caution. On restart, David Ragen went up the track to hit Kasey Kahne who went up and hit Gordon...Gordon went on to finish 21st spot. Now 11th in points - not a very happy fan tonight. Two bad races in a row for team 24...very frustrating and disappointing after the great season he has had this year. Then if that wasn't bad enough, my second favorite driver, Jimmie Johnson with seven laps to go went to pass Ryan Newman when he went down on the track. He over compensated and went up the track and hit the wall HARD. It shook him up and his car was done for. Finished 34th and dropped five positions in points... Jr finishes 19th...best Hendrick car finish since Martin had something break on his car and was in the garage for a lot of laps. 1. Matt Kenseth 2. Kyle Busch 3. Carl Edwards 4. Kasey Kahne 5. Marcos Ambros 6. Kevin Harvick 7. AJ Allmindinger 8. Tony Stewart 9. Denny Hamlin 10. Ryan Newman We got five races left of the chase...and of the season. So sad to see the season come to an end and am already looking forward to Daytona 500 in 2012! Talledega will be next Sunday...where anything can happen to anyone!
  17. LOL Roger. I was thinking the same thing when I was reading what you wrote there. That fan was definately not popular with what he did...at least not in Chicago.
  18. Love this song...would love to see Aldean in concert. Have all of his albums out as of now and love 'em all.
  19. Sorry ... not available to me...or anyone in my country.
  20. I miss Diamond Rio...they are a great band! Love this song! Wish I could find the official video, but this is the only thing I could find of it.
  21. ((((DANEY))))) I am so sorry to hear that you are going through such a hard and trying time. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Am missing you too. Know that I am thinking of you.
  22. Boxers are great...bet you are enjoying him. Great name too! (My parents have a boxer...)
  23. Read part of an article on NASCAR.com where Jeff Gordon says he thinks that the championship is really down to only three drivers now. Jimmie Johnson, Carl Edwards, and Kevin Harvick. Which he is probably right...without Gordon in the mix, I am hoping either Johnson or Edwards will win it. But they were my picks after Sunday race when I had to face reality that Gordon will most likely not win it this year. In other words, before I read the article yesterday. Though I wouldn't cut anyone out until after Talledega and Martinsville...but mainly Talledega. Talledega is a race where anyone can win and anyone can wreck. You don't know who'll win it until the last lap is over...you could have the top nine drivers wreck out in that one race alone. Talledega is high speed, high excitement...and unpredictable race. They will be racing at Talledega next weekend (I think...). Here is the top ten starting positions of the Saturday night race: 1. Tony Stewart 2. Matt Kenseth 3. Carl Edwards 4. AJ Allmindinger 5. Greg Biffle 6. Ryan Newman 7. Paul Menard 8. Kasey Kahne 9. Jimmie Johnson 10. Trevor Bayne Sprint Cup will be racing Saturday night at 7:30 PM ET on ABC. Y'all know I'll be watching - am looking forward to some Saturday night racing!!!!! Though am already off to a slow start in the race...Jr starts 15th and Jeff Gordon will start all the way back in the 23rd position. Refuse to give up hope on another win or two from Gordon this season. He may be out of the chase realistically, but as long as he is in the race, he has a shot at winning it! And as always, I will write up a review after the race is over. . .am hoping for a better race to review than last week. They are Charolette where it was once named Jimmie's house due to how good he is at this track. Has been awhile since he has won here, but he is now running off momentum coming from his win last week. Will see if he can follow it with another win or how the chase points will look once the race is over. . . I'll be watching, will you?
  24. Here is my list of favorites...Jeff Gordon will always be number one!, Jimmie Johnson my second favorite, Dale Jr my third favorite, and then Carl Edwards as my fourth favorite. Am looking forward to Saturday night...love night racing. Charolette was once dubbed as Jimmie's house due to how good he use to be there. We'll see how good Saturday night to help his championship run. Am looking forward 2012 with hope of a better finish that he will this year. Oh well. He's had a good year all around. Just got plagued with a load of bad luck once the chase started.
