This story has nothing to do with the other one im working on(Welcome Back Lori) this is a cued one as well, for me, dixiedavenport and bethie88 (although, small details in this story are somewhat the same as the ones in Welcome back Lori,the looks and personality) Lori Davenport, the middle of her two Davenport cousins, Cooter and Dixie, was on her way back to Hazzard from Osage county were she stayed with some of her friends for a while. She came barreling into town in Midnight Rider the almost brother to the General Lee, a black 69' dodge charger. Lori was headed back from her summer vacation of racing and chasin, guys that is. Lori was a reinvented young lady now, she no longer looked as a young teenage girl, even though she wasnt, she was a mature in all aspects woman. All for one man, Luke Duke. now theres one problem, shes had a thing for Luke for god knows how long, but so has her cousin Dixie. Lori was one that if a guy came between her and her cousin he wasn't worth it, whether Dixie wanted to believe the same thing or not...Lori shook her head, ya see Lori had never had a "fling" with Luke but Dixie had, Lori was soo sure that Luke didn't even see Lori as that type of girl, just as Cooter's little cousin, thats how everyone saw her even though she was a grown woman. Loir climbed out of her car in a strapless blue sundress, with her long brunette hair whipping in the wind. Her white, open toed high heels clicked on the sidewalk as she made her way around the car to the entrance of Cooter's Garage there she saw Bo, Luke and Dixie all huddled around the General. Lori walked over to them and stood behind them and let out a rebel yell," YEEEEE-HAWWWW!!!!!!! howdy ya'll, did ya miss me?" her long, tan legs shining in the hot hazzard sun as she stood there hands on her hips smiling. She looked at all of them and noticed how much Dixie had changed she knew that Dixie liked Luke, and she knew she didn't want him to come between them even though Lori felt he was worth it all. Lori giggled a little and walked over towards the General to see what they were doing......

i read on a site that Luke was the backbone of the Duke cousins, being the smart one and the thinker.

ive been a fan of john and tom since i was 5yrs old. so about 9 going on 10 years.

Lori rolled her eyes not even caring really, she shot a look to Cooter and mumbled under her voice,"Told ya i shouldnt have gotten off Cooter, would ya listen to me,NOOOO!!!" she looked away and shook her head yes and headed back on the bus. Cooter looked at Luke and smiled,"Yea, we're fine maybe a little shooken up and HATEFUL, but fine." Cooter looked on the bus as Lori sat there looking out the window with her arms crossed saying how much she wished she wouldnt have came back now. she looked at Cooter and sighed,"Well i might have been gone fer a while but i still know the way to the farm, she smirked at him and shook her head. Lori looked up and saw a car pull up right in behind the bus as she looked back there she saw a disgusting site, Candy Dix and JACK!!!! Lori got off the bus one foot still on the step she swung around the door and looked as they got out. Her mouth dropped and Lori looked to Cooter who was shaking his head,"Ohh Boy...." Lori's face got blood red and she was ready to kill someone. Seeing these two together Lori knew she was being followed. But what she didn't know was what them two had planned, Lori clenched her teeth together, shaking with anger and looked at Cooter and said,"I think it be best i headed to the farm Cooter, make sure they dont know which way to go." Lori winked at Cooter, he knew what she meant. Lori stepped back on the bus and looked out the window. balladeer:Welp sure is good to know nothings changed, yet...

Lori D. Miller, country music singer extrodinaire, was on her way to Hazzard County to perform a show.It was her farewell tour and her manager had booked her for her hometown.She was asleep on her tour bus, she'd been thinking about Luke, she couldn't keep him off her mind still, no matter how much she drank or sang. Ever since her marriage and divorce she couldn't keep him out of her head, and especially what she would do to her ex-bestfriend, Luke's old flame, Candy Dix. She was the main reason her and Jack Miller got a divorce. Now when you remembered Lori she looked more like a teenager, she wasn't though, she was childish and immature. Now she's changed emotionally and physically. She wasn't going to be the prettiest or most healthiest in Hazzard, Daisy was. But she placed second by far, unless her cousin Dixie changed. She had went to Nashville the second time around she left Hazzard, to do a showcase were a talent scout had observed her in the Boar's Nest one night. While Lori was in Nashville making country music hits, She met Jack, Jack Miller, a modern day heartbreaker, the looks and the attitude. He decided that he wanted to settle down, or to put it at an angle, use you for your money and drop you, truth was he was married to Candy! (thats one of the dilemmas in this story) When Lori and Jack got married, it took Lori four years to notice what he was doing to her. She walked around the backstage of a show her and Candy both were doing, Lori over-heard Candy and Jack talking. They were saying how dumb Lori was to not even know that Jack and Miss Dix or should I said,Miss Miller, was married. Lori walked around and said,"Well. it's like Cooter always says, i might be crazy but i ain't dumb." Lori went home and started snooping around she had found Jack's and Candy's marriage license. She told Jack she wanted a divorce and had told him that she wasn't stupid she knew about him and Candy. Lori and Jack had filed for a divorce and when it was finalized, she was Lori Davenport again and she loved it. Her manager had said that her record label didn't want to produce music by Lori Davenport, they wanted music by Lori Miller, Lori told them to shove it and her manager had booked her last show at Hazzard, her hometown, which is were shes at right now as you already know. She dreamed she wouldn't have to tell Luke or hope that Candy wouldn't show up. The memories of Luke still haunted her. It's like she said,"I fell inlove with him, and now, i can't fall out of love with him. When she had finally arrived in Hazzard she woke up and asked her driver were she was at, when he told her, she looked around out of the windows, people running towards the bus and looking and talking. Her driver asked her were the closest mechanic was at, she had smiled and said,"Well, ya see that'd be just around the corner here, it's my cousin's garage. When Lori had stepped out her long, tanned legs shined in the Hazzard county sun. She put on her big sunglasses and her sun hat to keep the wind from blowing her long brunette hair in a mess. she was in a yellow, strapless sundress and white open toed high-heels. She said,"S'cuse me, I'm looking for Cooter Davenport," Cooter jolted up, hitting his head on the car hood, noting that familiar voice, but when Cooter looked up he didn't see a little immature cousin, what he saw was a fully grown mature-in-all-aspects woman. His eyes widened and his mouth dropped to the ground,"L....L....Lori?!!! Dang, is that you?!!" Cooter said in amazement. Lori laughed and said,"Well I sures to heck ain't the easter bunny." They bothed laughed and shook their heads.Cooter looked at her and asked her what she was doing in Hazzard and she told him it was her farewell tour and ..... before she could get a word in Cooter had already popped the question,"Well now that you're here yous ain't going no weres, you're staying here." Lori shooked her head and sighed,"Cooter, you know what happened last time now i don't want no reoccuring incidents."Cooter laughed and said,"Well, don't you worry your pretty little head none, there won't be no reoccuring incidents." Cooter asked Lori if she wanted him to show them were his farm was at, Lori already knowing the way, sos they could hide the bus until the show. Lori accepted and she got back on her bus and Cooter hopped in his tow-truck and pulled out, the big grey-hound like bus following behind. As they were driving down the road The General Lee came racing towards them being chased by Enos none the less, when they almost hit the bus, the bus swirved and skidded to the side of the road, Lori running up front had asked her driver what was all that about and as she looked out the front window she saw Enos,Cooter,Bo and Luke..... Lori stopped and swallowed really hard and set down. Cooter opened the door to the bus Lori said,"COOTER... I CAN''T!!!" Cooter looked at her and then to Luke and shook his head, holding his hand out to take Lori's so she could step off the bus, he said,"C'mon now," Lori shook her head and put her hat and over-sized sunglasses and took hold of Cooter's hand and stepped out to were everyone could see her....... I wonder if ole' Candy and Jack knows were Lori's at, there is still an on-going fued between the three, what Lori doesn't know is that Jack and Candy both are out to get her. But what Luke doesn't know is that he's alll apart of the master plan to get Lori, Candy knows just exactly what shes got planned is sure enough to work. AND, I wonder if that note Lori wrote to Luke, changed their relationship any??? hmm makes you wonder don't it?

i missed that episode, ill buy the dvds and watch lol i always seem to miss the small, yet important details on the show lol.

ok well since it runs through town i believe i heard them say Farmer' Lane but rt. 36 sounds familiar too, im sure i did, and im thinking Jim Bronke, i swear i heard them talking about someone like him before, heck maybe it was a different Jim lol.

hahaha well the way shes turned out now, i dont think anyone can talk to her. you gotta hit her over the head a few times so shell comprehend with things lol. the second story is done and ready to be posted its whenever nwo i feel like posting it. i may have to redo my main idea though, on account of the note lori wrote to luke, dont think i will though. but i do know that its going to be for cued members only, me, dixiedavenport if you want to and BoJamesDuke and DaisyMaeDuke. as soon as Why Is It, BJD and DMD's story is completed then ill post mine. when they feel like they are ready to do it too.

now i will say that they shouldve have been told to be their own unigue character and not try to copy and do everything exactly like Bo and Luke. they shouldve had their own unique character, i personally think that maybe the Coy and Vance episodes wouldve been better, because every duke has a certain quality about them. like Bo, the go getter, and Luke the thinker, uncle jesse the wise one and daisy, i guess you could say she has a mix of all, maybe. Coy and Vnace shouldve had their own uniquness about them and not try to be like bo or luke, but i do understand that they were told to do everything exaclty like them so the keyword here being uniquness, if i spelt that right lol. i know im like a broken record, i repeat lol.

the ghost of general lee, whenever Enos pulled up their clothes and he asked rosco to help him and rosco said he couldnt swim, it was a tear-jerking moment lol. i actually cried in luke's love story, whenever he had told amy, i think if im right, that he wanted to be serious with her oe sumthin like that she couldnt see anyone else buthe could, i dont know i proabaly screwed that up some how, if i did, someone please correct me lol, but whnever she got up and walked out with that other man leaving Luke there, i was like awwwww. and when bo and luke left and coy and vance cmae on the show, i cried then cause daisy started to cry saying how much she'd miss bo ad luke and sayin that coy and vance just wasnt like them. then you have those little heart warming moments like when boss and uncle jesse was locked in the vault together.

theres three im about sure of, Rainbow Canyon, Dottie West, Mrs Roscoe P. Coltrane. and im thinking its Hazzard Lumber Company. but the other two im not soo sure of.. Rt 36 or Farmers Lane Jim Bronke or Chuck Wolfe

i just found this thread so if your still wanting to know i could tell ya im not sure about the dodge charger but Chrysler first started using left hand threads in 1940. The last year for them was on the 1970 models and Mercedes Benz and some other German manufacturers STILL use it today and i found on the same site that '68 was the last year for left hand lug nuts. So im guessing that maybe the 69 dodge chargers didnt but, didnt they use '68 dodge chargers as well on the show sometimes, maybe the '68 chargers have them.

well heres the thing no, they aint Bo and Luke, but hey there still Dukes! i honeslty have nothing against them. yes they try to be like Bo and Luke and no they can't be as good as them. but honestly they aint bad actors, ill probably pay fer saying this but i see nothing wrong with these episodes, i mean yea i love luke and bo and no one can replace them, but i actually do like Coy and Vance. I thought that the first couple of episodes that they wouldn't be any good, but once i give em' a try they aint bad. Heck ya gotta give em some credit fer tryin to be like Bo and Luke,at least they tried and didn't make complete idiots of them selfs, sometimes lol. i do disagree with the fact that in one episode they had taken a detour from the bridge instead of jumping it like Bo and Luke wouldve but like i said, hey there dukes! they're still as kind hearted and hardheaded as Bo and Luke, but all in all im glad that Bo and Luke came back lol. point is Coy and Vance episodes are pretty cool once you get use to em. out of the two id choose Vance, hes the better looking one lol. and before ya'll get on here and start sayin i aint a true dukes fan or sumthin like that, yes i am. no i have not been watching ti as long as some of you have but i do love the dukes and no one can replace Bo and Luke. but alls im sayin is Coy and Vance is only human it aint their faults they cant be as good as john or tom. like i said please no one get mad at me for making my point known im a little biased when it comes to things like this lol. by the way, I LOVE BO AND LUKE MORE!!!!! lol

ive always wondered if second cousins counted or not, i thought they did and its like 4th cousins and so on that didnt count?? maybe im wrong. by the way great job on the cousins youd be really good at doing genealogy BoJamesDuke. Now there was a site i went to that brung this to my attention and i was wondering if anyone knows if this could be possible or not... Considering Jesse's advanced age, it is possible he may have been a great-uncle to Bo, Luke and Daisy, and thus the brother of their grandfather. As the term "cousin" has a wide range of familial applications, it isn't strictly necessary for all the various cousins depicted on the show to be first cousins.
