  1. You got two of my questions right Julie. Boss's Big Daddy came to town and Waylon called an old pick-up truck a "Country Cadillac"

Hey Min, here's some additions to Julie's answers.

From "Repo Men" #4 is that they shot the tires with arrows. #6 is the Hazzard Ladies Auxilary and Julie missed #8, it should be Doberman.

From "High Octane" #9) the General's plate is CNH 320

    #10) the prize was $20,000

    #12) the Dukes report monthly

#14) the moonshine got dumped after she passed out

I got agent Huntley's first named on the tip of my keyboard--UGH!!

  2. Right as usual MinDuke. Here's 3 from "Dukes Strike it Rich"

easy) Did the Dukes pretend to strike it rich with gold or oil?

medium) Who pretended to be the Dukes chauffer?

tough) The actor John Wheeler is the County assayer. What business in Hazzard does he own?

Here's a Waylon qoute from that episode "Ya know, just when ya think ya got things under control in Hazzard, ya run into a natural Hazzard Hazzard."

  3. In case anybody is depending on closed-captioning to give you information on Dukes trivia, be careful of how much you can trust the spelling. For example, on "Enos in Trouble" (DVD) they spell Meadowmuffin, metal muffin (our Supreme Superior Commander is going to be furious) and in the same episode when Enos mentions his Uncle Odie they spell it Uncle Putney. How they got that far away from the actual word, I'll never know. Incidently, here's a little bit of Hazzard trivia that Sonny Shroyer told me personally.....Odie is his real-life father's name. He revealed that to me when I told him that I had a great-Uncle Odie and thought it was neat that Enos had one. Possum on a gumbush.

Here's another one from "The Revenge of Hughie Hogg". Waylon was saying that in most places the only two things certain were death and taxes but (the two things in Hazzard were) "the Dukes being chased by Sheriff Rosco's one"..... The closed caption wrote "The Duke's being chased by Sheriff Rosco's warrent."

  4. Hey katz112, I got a good laugh out of that one. Sometimes it's funny how the same thing can have two different meanings. My favorite is this one that's been around for a long time.

"They can't fire me. I'm not doing anything."

  5. After reading another thread asking if you've ever cried during an episode, I am motivated to ask this question. If you could pick a single scene that put you in Hazzard Heaven, what would it be? I considered the opening scene from season one, episode one. I also thought of the time that the Dukes accepted Boss into their home at the end of "The Great Santa Claus Chase" but my favorite Hazzard Heaven moment came when the boys walked in the door of the Boar's Nest in "Welcome Back Bo 'n Luke". I'm smiling from ear to ear right now just thinking about it.

  6. Hey Country Girl, It was nice of you to start this thread. Here's an amazing July Fourth coincidence for my fellow Hazzardites. (One of them gives away an answer on the trivia post). I saw two episodes today..."Lawman of the Year" and "Coy Meets Girl" and I could hardly believe my ears....They both mention the Fourth of July!!! What's the chances of that???!!! Amazing things like that can only happen in Hazzard County. Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.

  7. Also, here's 4 from "Lawman of the Year"

easy) Who nominated himself for the award?

medium) What kind of store did the bad guys rob? a) jewelry B) television c) CB shop d) bakery

tough) Who was the secret observer for the Support Your Sheriff Committee who awarded Cletus and Enos with "Lawmen of the Year" honors at the end?

Min) What holiday is mentioned in this episode?

  8. Here's 3 from "Dukes in Danger"

easy) Who sang an altered version of "Old McDonald had a farm" when he thought he would be getting the Duke farm?

medium) How long did it take the boys to change a tire on the General?

    a) 43 seconds B) 53 seconds c) 63 seconds

tough) What fell off Boss's car at the end? If you look close you can see it was lose when he drove through the hay pile.

  9. The Ghost of the General Lee was pretty tough to watch. In fact, all these posts are good ones and I'd like to add two more that were extremly emotional but in a "tears of joy" type way.....When Bo and Luke came back from being gone a year ("Welcome Back Bo 'n Luke") and "The Great Santa Claus Chase" at the end when the Dukes accepted Boss into their home.

  10. Yea, but I'm not a big fan. I've only been to one Division I football game in my life and it was when Washington visited Michigan about 4 years ago and Michigan won in a thriller. I have a friend who has season tickets so he took me. It's awesome seeing 111,000 people in one stadium. GO BLUE!!!

  11. Make mine a buttermilk!!

Hey Min, your database is indeed a labor of love. Thanks for revealing all those details...I've sure been wondering.

When the show was out originally I started writing stuff for my map about the third season. Of course there were reruns and that helped but I still struggled to get it all organized Also, the geographical inconsistencies and difficult things to hear (sometimes they talked too fast) made things tough. This DVD set is great because I've been able to "rewind" things that were difficult to understand. I wish I would have thought about "Closed Caption" earlier so I could have had more acurate spellings but (as Rosco would say) "there's good news, good news!"....that just gives me an excuse to start over again. I wouldn't want inaccurate spelling on my map. By the way, would you prefer to be called Jax?

  12. Nice job Min!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'd love to see that database. How do you manage to have that much info recorded? I mean, in order to know Boss's number or the cost of that newspaper (and other such info), you'd have to pause thousands of scenes in 7 seasons!!! Unless you get the question, then watch the episode and then log on again with the answers. Either way, your dedication to the best show to ever be on a television screen is very impressive. Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.

  13. After recording items from the first 4 seasons, here is the number of things I have so far in my quest to make the ultimate map of Hazzard County.

Residents (homes, not individuals) - 117

    Businesses - 104

    Roads - 112

Water (creeks, lakes, swamps, ponds, rivers, etc) - 56

Landmarks (canyons, caves, mountains, bridges, hollows, etc) - 124

Other Counties (towns, counties, other Bosses and sheriffs) - 44

In addition, there have been 15 Country Music stars that appeared on the show as of the first 4 seasons.

I'm pretty excited about this map. I'll probably start putting it on paper (a very large poster board) in the fall. It is my dream to display it at the next DukesFest. Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.
