Tomorrow (Saturday) it's the US vs Great Britian again, just like the old days only bullets won't fly, just a basketball. It is going to be the gold medal game for men's basketball in the Paralympics. My friend Trevon Jenifer plays for the US and has already won 2 gold medals in previous Paralympics. The cool thing is that tomorrow is his birthday. USA! (I'm just happy they aren't playing Urbekistan)

You are right about The Beginning being terrible. It's almost as if they were trying to be bad and ran out of creative ways to make it even worse.

It had a few good parts but I didn't like it. Nothing good can come from replacing Denver with Willie. I could go on about everything else I didn't like about it but that was the biggest one.

Interesting. Maybe they do follow NASCARs schedule. Hopefully Chase Elliott will put it all together next season. This one has been good but also disappointing.

I love Happy Birthday General Lee too! It was so cool to see the history behind the General. My favorite character is Jesse but when the show was airing it was Enos. I think because I related more to Enos back then and Jesse now. My favorite ep is High Octane.....kinda weird since I don't drink!

The regular season for dirt bikes is over. The first half is Supercross (SX) where they race in stadiums. The second half is Motorcross (MX) where they race on longer tracks outdoors. Both SX and MX have champions but last year they combined points from SX and MX and called it SMX and did a three race playoff for those who qualify. Personally, I'm not a fan of the new system. All three have two champions, one for 450cc and one for 250cc.

Not something I would do either Philip. I'm more like Uncle Jesse. He never dated again despite women flirting with him like Emma Tisdale. I'm John's age.....7 days younger to be exact. Some guys my age just can't be alone long I guess...but some can. It's like they say: It takes all kinds to make a world.

I know but they held down the fort when Bo and Luke were gone. It would have been much worse if the show would have ended after 4 seasons because of the problems. There are a lot of great episodes in seasons 5-7.

I just looked up the date I met Cooter. It was a car show in Erie PA on 10-23-82. It was the 30th birthday of his wife (not Alma) and she was with him.

Hobie's birthday is tomorrow!

I was just looking up Big Ed. He was born in Klamath Falls Oregon and that is where he died. (1938-2017). There's a song "Everybody dies famous in a small town" but he really was famous....acted in a lot of things. We miss you Big Ed. Happy birthday today in Hazzard Heaven!

It's hard to believe....Enos will be 90 years old on this day next year. In the meantime, he's still a young man in his 80s for one more year. Happy birthday Enos! Possum on a gumbush!
