Well, both our teams won today.....big wins for both of them. This means that we are one step closer to a Steelers win against the Bears in the Super Bowl. Seriousely though, the way your Bears are playing they have a better chance of making it than mine team.

Thanks for the update Garrett. I don't follow NASCAR as much as I should but I can always depend on the fans on the HN to keep me informed.

Meadowmufn is a big Seahawks fan. Their defense looked amazing tonight against your rival Vikings Garrett.

Thankfully the Bears are in a different conference. That way they can't stop the Steelers from making it to the Super Bowl. I finished second in one of my fantasy leagues but in the other I had a miracle win tonight. I was up against 4 other teams for the last playoff spot AND I needed more total season points as well. I ended up winning 143.08 to 142.24. The third best team this week only had 111.98. Minnesota's RB Cook had a last second TD that almost caused me to lose. It can't get much closer than that.

I watched the game last night Garrett and your boys really looked like Super Bowl contenders by beating the Rams who only had one loss. My Steelers lost to a terrible team, the Raiders, who only had 2 wins. I bet you enjoyed last night! Congratulations!

Hey Garrett, I picked up your Bears QB this morning as a back up if Big Ben gets hurt. I was surprised he was available. I also have Trey Burton who I always play and your Bears WR Robinson who I never play but makes a good back up. Do you have any Steelers?
-
This is the thread where everybody posts how fun it is to be a Steelers fan and Garrett posts how depressing it is to be a Bears fan. How many fantasy teams are you in Garrett and how are they doing? I'll finish second in one and am in the playoff hunt in the other. Sunday is a big day for us fantasy players. Good luck Garrett!

Thursday night he had 4 TDs and 238 yards. That included a 99 yard TD run. In standard leagues that totaled 47 points, the most for any player this year. Hopefully for her, she did not have him on her bench. Hopefully for her opponent, she did have him on her bench. Can you imagine how frustrating it would have been for owners who benched him? He was only projected to get 7 fantasy points. He wasn't even owned in either of my leagues. If you're sticking around for awhile maybe we should start an NFL thread.

I just finished watching "The Great Santa Claus Chase". I think the scene in the Duke house at the end is my favorite scene in all 7 years. Also, a scene earlier at the Boar's Nest, I love the line when the narrator says "and with Lulu away, 'ol Boss was as lonely as 'ol Waylon on the night of the Country Music Association Awards." LOL....I actually remember the controversy then. Waylon wasn't making that up. He really did get snubbed. Also, I forgot about the line when Luke was pretending to be the ghost of Christmas past on the CB accusing Boss of dipping sparrows in peroxide to sell them as canaries!

I wish Spike would have been in more episodes. I would have loved seeing him do a little body work on Rosco's patrol car.
-
I'd have to borrow a tank to get through them.....or maybe the armored personel carrier on "Follow That Still". Did anybody in your fantasy league have Derrick Henry last night Garrett? Sorry, back to NASCAR. I'm getting off subject.

Waylon Jennings has a song called Clyde...."Clyde played electric bass. Played it with finesse and grace. Sat on the porch, ain't got no shoes. Pickin' the bass and singing the blues." I love tough hypothetical situations Garrett but that one isn't so tough. I would root for the Steelers to win 59-58. That would mean Chase had a great game and could blame it on a Bear's defense that was so bad even RogerDuke could have busted through them.

My favorite person who is able to find the most amazing facts. He's either a computer genius or some kind of techno-wizard or both: HossC. I wonder how my wife will take it when I tell her we're moving to Georgia. I'm just going to blame Hoss.
-
My favorite racer: Chase Elliott My favorite singer: Charlie Daniels My new favorite QB who is not a Steeler: Chase Daniels

It looks like Trubisky is going to play. They're going to need him against the Rams. I'll do the same thing I always do....root for them unless they're playing the Steelers just like I root for the Cubs unless they're playing the Pirates...just because of you. The Steelers star RB James Connor is out with an ankle injury. I've met him three times. He is friends with my nephew. They went to McDowell High School in Erie Pennsylvania together. Connor is a cancer survivor so McDowell always get mentioned when they do stories about him.

Score prediction: Steelers-87 Bears-3 (maybe 6 if their quarterback gets healthy. How's he doing lately?

Hey, two of my favorites are mentioned here....Garrett Duke and Chase Elliott. It sure is good to hear from you Garrett. 76 days will be here before you know it! I'm too excited about Christmas to think about it though. I hope your Bears continue to do well....unless they play my Steelers in the Super Bowl....wouldn't that be fun!

I used to watch the old cartoon Camp Candy with my daughter when she was little. I think I still have an episode or 2 on VHS. If you're a John Candy fan I bet you know it. The best known song from the Charlie Daniels Band (or Banned if he gets kicked out) is The Devil Went Down to Georgia. Although that would barely make my top ten from the CDB. What this World Needs is a Few more Rednecks AND Simple Man are my two favorites. Hoss, I still have that picture that you made for me hanging in my office at work of Charlie and Uncle Jesse together. (thanks to your creative editing)

Okay, who's excited? I start getting excited about the most wonderful time of the year way earlier than most folks. I love Halloween but on November First I start singing Christmas songs in my head.....and I never complain about all those early Christmas commercials.
-
Thanks Hoss. I always wonder what's up with the surviving cast. That's why I was so excited to see Bo on Dancing with the Stars.

Cool stuff Shooter! Thanks for sharing it. It was nice to hear from you again.

Hang in there Spike! My wife hit a deer this morning on the way to work. It is the first deer she's hit in 40 years of driving so that's not too bad considering she lives in the country. Yesterday I saw two fully mature bald eagles circling our house, flying pretty low. They're getting more common but still, that was thrilling. I got my cast off yesterday. It's the third one since my Sept 18 ankle tendon surgery. I'm now back in an air cast and waiting for physical therapy to start next week..
