  1. A great many people I know are praying for those involved, and yes my thoughts and prayers are with the families, the victims and anyone affected by this tragedy as well. It deeply saddens me that people turn to guns as a way to deal with their rage. Take care everyone. With thoughts coming from Germany, Yvette
  2. I read a few of the stories last night and really am enjoying them. Y'all did a great job with this challenge, and I'll probably get involved in future ones too.
  3. I could write about dogs, and maybe I could do so by not waiting till the last possible minute. Glad my submission got in, and I'm looking forward to seeing what others have written. Particularly the Enos stuff. ~hehehehe~
  4. My husband and I are further. It would take a good eight hours with a plane to get to TN. So, unless someone is from Australia or Russia, we're a couple of the further away fans. I was sort of wondering if there was something here in Europe, but I doubt it. Good luck finding something anyway.
  5. This is probably my favorite episode of them all. I loved the story and the ideas that threw these two characters together. Of course, I do believe that the ending was a tiny bit weak. I think that although Daisy never said that she loved Enos, that she did. I guess it's a woman's intuition thing with me, but I got the feeling that her caring for him was dappling into the concept of love pretty intently. This story line does give fan fiction writers the chance to really recognize and acknowledge the potential love between these two characters, which would have been lost completely if they had tied the knot. Of course, Bo and Luke, who have taken care of Daisy all this time doesn't want to lose her, they feel a sort of responsibility towards her, so dropping her into Enos' arms would seem a bit too strange for them. Also their 'knowing' of her her and Enos' friendship would serve as a damper on the possible relationship. So their shock seemed to be target on, at least in my honest opinion. Jesse's reaction and the manner which he cared for Daisy throughout the episode was just as I would have expected and I found the wedding dress to be perfect. He asked her if she was sure she wanted to do this and she said that she had to. I hated that they turned this into a wedding of obligation as opposed to love. Of course, I will never forget Rosco's reaction to her in the dress, that was just so 'ding dang' sweet. That scene in the canoe was just perfect. Hopeful romantics everywhere would probably not have changed a thing! Every time I watch Enos lean in closer to her, I get a serious case of goosebumps! It just reminds me so much of the first time my husband of 12 years kissed me. Very special emotion going on with that scene and it was also when he asked me to marry him. So of course, I hate the fact that it didn't happen. But like I said, the whole concept of these characters developing into something special is also a grand idea. I figure too, if they had gotten married on the show or in the movie, then there would have been less people like me, Val and others to write those stories about them.
  6. I just got a second message saying that my story was undeliverable and now it is past the deadline, and I am 100 shades of worried. Did anyone get my story submission, and are there any others who are getting these sorts of messages as well? I don't mean to be a grouch, but if the deadline was yesterday, and my story isn't getting in because of a full mailbox, then that's really not fair, nor is it my fault. I did put a lot of extra effort into my submission, so please let me know, because I want my work to count.
  7. I'm not a big fan of Anime, although I do know that there is a vast amount of it out there and there are numbers of catagories for it. I just can't really see it crossing over into a DoH comic, although I do think the idea of a DoH comic is a good one. If someone were to ask me, I'd say I prefer a more traditional look for the characters. Although I'm probably a minority in saying this, those eyes in the Anime cartoons give me a quiver in my liver. I can't explain why, but they just score high on the 'Enos Fan's freak out counter'. I guess Anime is something people either love or hate. I'm afraid I just happen to fall into the latter of those two catagories. Also, seeing as the Dukes are very 'American' in their stance and overall presentation, I am not sure it would work for a lot of fans to have them presented in an Anime style. That's just my opinion, but it just seems too weird a concept for me to wrap my brain around them being drawn in this way. I hope I don't offend anyone with voicing that opinion, but that's my stance on it.
  8. Here's hoping that soon the memories you have of Buddy won't be so painful. You're in my thoughts and prayers and I hope that soon you'll be able to look back on his life with fondness. I can't say much else besides that. Take care.
  9. How many stories have been submitted thus far, or is that being kept under wraps until after the deadline? BTW, I just got a message from the system saying that the mailbox is full. Someone better check with Miz Tisdale on that so that we can all get our submissions sent in a timely manner.
  10. After working my tail off on this for the last two days, I finally got my submission in. Talk about having it done by the skin of my teeth! One can say now that I've pitched in my part to stop Brian's uprising. I would love to read the Fairytopia crossover, I am a fan of these computer generated films anyway.
  11. Yeah, but that one fell flatter than one of Uncle Jesse's pancakes. Oh well, there's always next year. I do like both shows though, although not equally. I am still more fond of the Dukes.
  12. I have decided to leave Hazzardnet and go join up at the A-team forum simply because I think that vans are much cooler than the General Lee and fake explosions are more interesting than car jumps. I know that I shouldn't make it a public thing of this, but since I have decided to be honest, that I would just sign off here and say I'll see y'all later. Now, if you really believe that...go and take a long hard look at your calendar!
  13. My favorite Enos line was probably: Monkey see, monkey do. That Loretta Lynn episode did have the best quotes by Enos. The way he held his hands and wiggled his fingers made me roll on the floor with laughter. Now every time I say those words, I do that myself. Talk about catching.
  14. I am so glad that I'm not the only Daisy and Enos fan around here. This is so great...and yep the unmentionables was absolutely hysterical. They really should have married those two characters...it just seems so unfair.
  15. I would love to see Enos on DVD. I was 11 or 12 when it was on and I don't remember very much of it at all. Sad considering that he's my favorite. Welcome Roger!
  16. That was an episode that was filmed during season 2 but didn't get in at the end of that season. They just decided to put it into season 3.
  17. Good analogy, Boss Hogg. I think you hit the nail on the head.
  18. I just bought one of those kits, but haven't tried it out. I think they are a good idea, because a lot of my CDs do have scratches on them, and that bugs me. So, I can imagine that one can remove scratches through these kits.
  19. Of those listed, my favorite is 'Ghost of the General Lee'. I thought the overall emotion in the episode was quite good and the way they managed to make the General look driverless was pretty brilliant. Of course, my all time favorite episode is not listed, but is 'Enos and Daisy's Wedding'. I think that any episode that focuses on Enos will end up at the top of my list. I also like the episode where Daisy becomes Deputy. She's brilliant in that. How can someone run down a hill in high heels deserves great credit. Catherine Bach was just great in that episode.
  20. That is a cool website, it's really fun to take a trip or two down memory lane. I'll have to pass that on to my friends who are also 80's fans. I was born in 1970, and haven't even looked at the 70's shows. I will probably do that when I have more free time. Thanks for posting it. Neat stuff!
  21. What sort of bears does she collect? Steiff? Hermann?
  22. I generally love fish out of water stories, but 'Strange Visitor to Hazzard' was such a huge letdown to me. DoH is not sci/fi, nor is it fantasy and I generally like Sci/Fi and fantasy stuff. I can't even go into details about how much I disliked that episode. It just seemed silly all the way around, although the lighting was pretty cool looking at the end. Don't even get me started on the costuming, they made the visitor look like some strange hairless weirdo. Some of the Coy and Vance episodes I actually liked, but of course, I prefer the Bo and Luke ones.
  23. Good thing I use a plastic squeeze bottle of ketchup.
