  1. Next time drink milk. The milk tends to help neutralize what happens when you eat spicy foods. I generally don't like the taste of milk, but that has always helped me when I had eaten spicy Mexican or Indian foods.
  2. My favorite was the Superman costume for children. The wearing of this costume does not insure that your child can fly! I won't even go there.

  4. One of the things I really loved about Rosco is the down right nuttiness of the character. Just hearing James do that laugh and making off the wall comments immediately put a smile on my face. I know that there are some people who do crazy things and people judge them for it, but there is something so real about Rosco's behaviors that make him funny to me. I mean; the laughter and the way he said things just make me smile every time. If I'm in a bad mood, I just watch a couple of scenes with him and my mood just lightens up immediately. Rosco has a way of making me laugh at life and how sometimes I can take things too seriously. I hope James Best knows just how much joy he brougth to so many people through his portrayal of Rosco. Funny, funny stuff. I'm really blown away with his comedic edge. He's really an amazing actor.
  5. Ten random things about me? I'll try to post the more interesting tidbits. 1. I was born in Texas but left the US on Halloween 1995 to move to Germany. 2. My husband of nearly 12 years was once my email pen pal. 3. I'm old enough to remember having watched the original Dukes of Hazzard broadcasts on TV. 4. I had a diehard crush on Enos / Sonny when I was about 10 years old, and am still a huge fan of the character (thus the handle). 5. My first trip out of the US was to Russia in 1992 to study the language. (That was the last time I actually said 'y'all' in casual conversation.) 6. I love to travel, and have been to 18 different countries in the last 15 years. 7. I have made over 100 teddy bears by hand, the smallest about 15 centimeters the largest over a meter in length. 8. I tend to laugh just like Enos, you know, that laugh when he's particularly feeling shy or nervous. 9. I can speak German fluently, though I do most of my writing work in English. 10. After moving to Germany, I lost my southern accent and adapted a more German dialect. I now speak English in a sort of mish-mosh manner.
  6. ~giggle~ My husband is a PhD in Chemistry. Perhaps i should ask him for some more to add to the list.
  7. Outside of DoH, my favorite shows are: -Touched by an Angel -Joan of Arcadia -The Monkees -Starman -Beauty and the Beast -Due South -Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman -Star Trek: The Next Generation -Quantum Leap I never thought I'd get such a big list of shows I like, but I'm trying to get most of the ones I like on DVD.
  8. I love that show. They just released the third season of it on DVD over here, and I have not laughed that hard in such a long time. John Lithgow is a classic comedian and his acting is so much fun. What other show out there gives people the chance to do something silly without realizing the cultural implications of it? I relate to it because I left the country where I was born and moved somewhere else and had to figure out how to live here as well as learn the langauge. This show really pokes fun at the human condition and I just love it.
  9. I'm pretty broad with my musical tastes, although most of what I listen to is probably going to raise eyebrows here and get lots of 'huhs' and 'Who's that's?' I love music, and cannot imagine limiting myself to one genre or variety. So starting with my favorite, the man's music that moves me in the most profound way possible, Chris de Burgh. I also like: Great Big Sea Blackmore's Night The Monkees PUR (German band) DJ Bobo Sissel Kyrkjebo (Norwegian singer) Josh Groban Tiziano Ferro (Italian singer) Collin Raye (I'll do whatever I can to get his stuff) Anne Murray John Denver Gregorian (This is a group that sings popular music in the Gregorian style) Mandy Patinkin Rascal Flatts Arrogant Worms When I was living in the US, I listened to a lot of country music, but after marrying my German husband and moving here, I realized that not only was it hard to get, but it sort of lost its appeal with me.
  10. I'd be Daisy so I could flirt with Enos. I can't really think of anyone else I could actually be, I am told I'm funny, and can come up with some pretty nifty Rosco like comebacks. I also laugh a lot like Enos does (particularly when he's nervous), but I don't know if I could really be someone whose character I immensely like, but would rather play opposite that character. I do like Daisy, too, but I guess being a woman, I can relate to her much better than the other characters. Make sense?
  11. I love that they are putting shows out on DVD. My husband and I have seasons 1, 3, 4, but we're looking to get the rest, including the two movies. I want Quantum Leap season 5 Starman and Enos to be released. And I'm waiting with baited breath for 'Beauty and the Beast' season 1 to be released. I would also like to get 'Life Goes On', but will have to see if I can swing it. I wouldn't mind start collecting 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' as well.
  12. I think one of my favorite Rosco moments was when he was talking to Boss Hogg in 'The Late JD Hogg'. Boss: I ain't worried about what she said, I'm worried about what St. Peter will say when I start knocking on them Pearly Gates. Rosco: Boss, you don't have to worry what he's gonna say, 'cause you'll be going the other direction. I howled with laughter when he said that and pointed downward. I had to back up the DVD and watch the scene again.
  13. When I was 10-years-old and the Dukes of Hazzard was on TV, I watched it religously because of Enos. I think while my peers had crushes on cartoon characters, my first real crush was Enos. I have been a fan of this character for well over 25 years since those days of being this goofy little kid with pigtails watching the show every Friday night. When I saw how Sonny looked today, I still saw that sparkle that captured my imagination as a child, so yes, I definitely think he's cute. But, it wasn't just his looks that made me like him so much, it was the fact that Enos was just downright nice to everyone, even when others were not very nice to him.
  14. Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, but have been lurking for quite some time. I have written a DoH fan fiction that I wanted to share. I hope that y'all will come and read it as I worked really hard on it. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3344774/1/ Two chapters have been posted, but there will most definitely be more.
