the new lee looks pretty sweet - a hot hatch with a touch of old school - perfect combo
-
the general grant does look cool - but it is trying to be too much like the lee in my opinion at least state side you have better taste in DOH rip offs - try a Yugo 311 done up like the lee - it is painful to see i will not even bother posting up a pic (if i had one) - it is evil - i leave notes on the windsheild saying STOP DISRESPECTING THE GENERAL LEE - never listen though on the thing about family inventions - here is one that i always thought was a good idea but it ruins the fun of a car - my grandfather invented ABS
-
you are correct lost sheep - that was the biggest SUCCESFUL jump the general made (that is what i have been told on numerous occasions so i assume it is true) the longest jump was not shown in any episodes because the stuntman accidentally injured an actor so was never used, but can be seen in 2 fast 2 furious i have been informed that it was when uncle jesse was driving and a bridge over a river was opening and he floored it and the general flew over the bridge and the sail boat and landed on the other side unfortunatly, i have been told that part of the ramp broke off and knocked the actor on the boat unconsious could someone tell me if this is true or not - i have only heard this from a friend's cousin who worked with the stunt co-ordinator on 2F2F (the guy who did the stunts for DOH)

I saw the ORIGINAL general lee recently at a car show It was the car that the doh version was based on It was a 1940 Ford Mustang with a confederate flag painted as if it was draped over the hood and over the trunk, with a pic of the general lee on the doors on the roof (where general lee is written on the doh version) is the phrase "This man fought for our country, our rights and our lives. We must remember him at all costs." it was sweet, but not a good as the charger version here is a stock 40 mustang
-
doh is the only tv series where the car is the star knight rider (wash mouth out with soap) had david hasselhoff (more soap) as the star batman had, well, batman as the star general lee = best tv car EVER the only tv car that was better, was del boys van, and it is only better for comic reasons

has to be cathy - when she went in for the audition, the guy said that she had the best legs he had ever seen, and the best smile in the county i think that settles it plus - jessica aint no racing girl - shes too stuck up cathy was in cannonball run - could you see jessica in that role - answer is no cathy = daisy
-
my fave has to be uncle jesse's old ridge runner car - black betty? - or the car jesse drove when he raced against boss when they were showing who was teh best runner either those or cooters truck - yah cant beat 2 tons of steel
-
best truck is blatently the Dodge Ram SRT-10 a truck with an 8.3L V10 i have seen one done up as a general here in the UK - it looked sweeet
-
i have seen a similar general here in the uk, but it was a stretch 70 charger and looked like a pile of sh*t - a 30 foot muscle car just dont work that one however is sweet
-
officially yes the general is the most recognised car world wide, the most famous tv car, the most replicated car and is one of the most wanted cars to own / drive in the world but the batmobile was completely custom built and a lot of custom fabrication went into it (although it is made by the same guy that made the general and he preffers the general) which may be what made it the best car from tv / film but jesse james never put the batmobile or kitt on a bike rear fender!
-
this is the rear fender on a jesse james custom chopper the general lee lives on this is one of the best images of the general that i have ever seen
-
i've only seen most of series 1, part of 2 and a bit of 3 dang the tv sceduling in the uk
-
that would be because of the internet setting on your computer
-
here is a link for a load of DOH sounds and music files i like the disclamer about deleting the files within 24 hours - yeah right DOH Sounds
-
I found this picture - I have always thaought that this was a great episode - except that they destroyed more cars than normal

i just passed my driving test here in the uk so i am now looking for a car to use as a basis for a general generation 2 car does anyone have any reccommendations for what to get in the uk, but is cheap to insure y'all in the usa have it great - cheap insurance an all in the uk, at 17 the cheapest you can pay is about £1500 (about $2900) and that is for a pile of flash droppings like a 1970's fiat panda i really want a general - any suggestions?

I can't believe it took me this long to notice this!

i know that the confederate flag represents the beliefs of the south in the civil war that slaves should be kept (yankees wanted to free the slaves and they won) i also know from racing that the chequered flag is the symbol of a winner, a true racer and an honest racer. someone who cheats in a race does not get a waved chequered flag, they get a still flag. the chequered flag on the general is in the waved position i do not know if there is another meaning when the two are joined -

the general only had the flags in series one - they stopped putting them on for some reason after that i think they may have gotten fed up of putting them of a car whenever the general did a jump (ie - 10 times a day!) i had looked for an image of that for an avitar for this site - couldn't find one though -
yeah - i've found it and got both versions on my mp3 player no one seems to understand that last verse - you're right redneck - i have to explain whenever i play it to a mate

A year ago last thursday, I was strolling in the zoo When I met a man who thought he knew the lot He was laying down the law about the habbits of baboons And the number of quills a porcupine has got So I asked him "What's that creature's name?" and he answered "That's a helk!" And I'd have gone on thinking that was true If the animal in question hadn't put that chap to shame, And remarked—"I ain't a helk—I'm a gnu! I'm a gnu—I'm a gnu The g-nicest work of g-nature in the zoo I'm a gnu—how do you do? You really oughtta g-know w-who's w-who I'm a gnu—spelt G - N - U I'm not a camel or a kangaroo So let me introduce, I'm neither man nor moose Oh, g-no, g-no, g-no, I'm a gnu!" I had taken furnished lodgings down at Rustington-on-sea Whence I travelled on to Aston-under-lyne On the second night I stayed there I was wakened from a dream Which I'll tell you all about some other time Among the hunting trophies on the wall above my bed Stuffed and mounted was a face I thought I knew A bison? An oakpi? Could it be a hearty beast? Then I seem to hear a voice—"I'm a gnu! I'm a gnu—a-g-nother gnu I wish I could g-nash my teeth at you I'm a gnu—how do you do? You really oughtta g-know w-who's w-who I'm a gnu—spelt G - N - U Call me bison or okapi and I'll sue Nor am I in the least like that dreadful hearty beast Oh, g-no, g-no, g-no, I'm a gnu! G-no, g-no, g-no, I'm a gnu! G-no, g-no, g-no, I'm a gnu!" (Flanders and Swann)
