Happy to be of help, glad you've finally completed the collection! Are you sure that the ones you have are NTSC recorded? Because the back of my DVD pack and the seasons I brought in America don't have that coding on the back of the packaging whereas others that I have brought there do and definitly only work as reigon one..

True but then writing for the tabloids is a lot more exciting than writing for broadsheets because I have no interest in politics or the state of affairs or what our royal family are doing LOL. What I'm most ashamed about is that so many people in Britain read all this trash which boots sales numbers which allows them to put these stories out there. Its stupid and wrong and should find better things to talk about!

Because I work for the WB.. LOL Nah I don't I joke I read it somewhere when the DVD's first came out, I was looking for the date as to when they would be released in England as Reigon 2 but they said that it wasn't going to happen. I can't find the link anymore, I had it saved on my old laptop but have since got a new one. It should be just fine, if it isn't then buy a multi reigon DVD player, they're not that expensive anymore due to the new blue-rays taking up the market Glad to have been help!

Ok I'm excited, I don't know if anyone else knows this, but the Dukes is officially avaliable to buy on itunes and download onto your ipod if it plays video!! I've been sending in request after request for the series to be put on there for about a year and finally its here! Season 1 and 2 although I think they got the seasons mixed up because Carnival of Thrills parts 1 and 2 are in with season 2 :S But yeah! I think this is a major breakthrough for the Dukes and Dukes fans everywhere all around the world!! WOOO!!

Say my name and i'm sure to appear eventually lol Hey there cousin from England! Wherebouts in the UK are ya?! As for the reunion DVD's, don't buy the ones your looking at from ebay. Seriously. The Dukes of Hazzard box sets and the reunion DVD's have really weird things goin on with their reigon codes because I've got a mix of American and English regions of the box sets and my Reunion DVD's are both American (region 1) as well and they work fine on my laptop. Here's the thing, my laptop is definitly not multi regional because I tried to play another region 1 dvd on here and it wouldn't let me. Its something to do with the way it was recorded onto the disks, not having NTSC recording on it or something, which means it doesn't really matter about the region it should play on any DVD player, that's what i've found anyway. They're not releasing the Dukes reunion movies on DVD over here unfortunatly, as everyone knows who lives here, England is pretty much a Dukes-Free domain apart from the occasionaly showing on Bravo. If you want it you need to buy a region one copy, DO NOT TRUST EBAY when they say oh its region 2 cause it aint Hope this helps!

I'll stop and let you get back to your....well whatever it was you were doing before I interrupted with the arguing and venting. Apologies.

Fine, I see your point of view but to be honest your taking it way to personally. If you look in the past I haven't actually round robin'd before, what i've been doing is writing stories with people my writing style and ideas on the Dukes and stating that in the beginning that is who I'd like to work with. Before this whole one-liner thing came up, I never understood that that wasn't what a round robin was. In my mind a round robin was a bit like a role play I think more than a story. I'll admit I should have read the rules before I posted on there but I just followed what everyone else seems to have been doing. Following that train of thought, I decided to try and write on the round robin because Daney's excellent start was going to waste and I got some inspiration for it. Its not down to you specifically that I wanted to stop though maybe the way I worded my reason seemed that way. Its just that there are things that I don't like reading let alone writing, and your post made me realize that if I round robin then I'll have to be doing that. As for this (what I see as ridiculous) thing about new members and old members, sorry but just because a member is a longer standing one on here doesn't mean that they are good at writing at all. Roger Duke doesn't write much, but he does some role play occasionally with me, i've role played with Lori Davenport when she was a newbie. Its got nothing to do with the skill of your writing, its simply compatability with ideas. I wouldn't ask you to write with a pairing you were uncomfortable with so why am I made to feel bad for saying I don't want to write it. And as for Enos being a lesser character than others I don't believe that for a minute. I think Enos, like all the cast members, are key to making the Dukes the show we love so much. In fact much of the reason I dont like the Daisy/Enos pairing is because its much more fun to have Enos bumbling around her, be torn between doing his duty and helping his friends and generally saying and doing sweet things that make us pine to see them together. If you make them be together though, it takes away a dynamic of the show we love which is why I believe they never married when they were planning to, and why they were never put together really. Unrequited Love is a lot more fun to play with. Also, about everyone acting like me, in case you hadn't noticed there are a lot of people who just prefer to write together in the round robin section with certain people and the people who know that simply choose not to jump in because its far more entertaining to watch a story where you know the participants are having fun and write well together than to see an awkward one where no one knows what's going on. Me and DaisyMae for example know each other so well we don't have to ask each other what we're doing much, we just do it because we know the characters we play and we know each other and what is good to write. I haven't closed the rr at all, why are you being so negative about people joining in? Its a little insulting to members to say what you are, that they're all neglecting yours in favour of mine. In case you hadn't noticed, no one's posted on mine besides me and maybe i'll end up writing it myself who knows? The only one stopping the story moving on in the rr is you. As for learning things from older writers, why not read their stories - like the Going Home series Bethie and Dixie write together and see how they write. In my opinion they are two of the greatest writers on this board, along with Cowboy, BL, MaryAnne, Brian and so many others I could list if I had the time. See how they write, and figure why people like it and apply it to your own writing. That's mainly how I learnt along with writing fan fics by myself to practise.

Brian - I'm not being a brat about the round robin ok, I left it there so everyone can continue to post on it in their own way. Since no one had been posting on it in a while, I started to get new ideas about what could be done in this story. And for you information I asked Daney if I could start up a new thread with her idea and she said that that was fine with her! Other people have also messaged me and said that they like that i'm going to take the story in a different direction so that there's more than one version of the story. I did think about Daney when I did what I did, I messaged her and asked her if it was okay for me to do it. I'm not selfish, and I do credit people where its needed. Due to the fact no one had posted on it after me for ages, I had been thinking about asking Daney if I could move it before. As for only wanting my version of events told that's not true, otherwise I would have simply messaged i1976 and said I don't like what you've done go away and let me carry on! I didn't do that, I simply started a new story with the same beginning and all credit is given to Daney for the original idea. i1976 - I don't know where you've got this idea that I kicked you out the round robin. I haven't done anything like that at all but its all you seemed to be focused on and that is what made me mad yesterday. I left it and started a new one with Daney's beginning and my second post because it fits with the ideas I have. Its impossible to kick someone out a round robin cause everyone is free to post on it! Please by all means carry on with any ideas you have on there and encourage others to do so! I've never said you can't do it, and I never said you can't write either, I just don't want to write with a Daisy/Enos pairing and like I said I've got my own ideas now where no one posted on it for ages. I'm sure Daney's actually flattered that two people have decided to have a go at writing different versions of her idea!

I started writing on Daney's because it was an interesting idea! I liked it so I wrote on it because he asked for anybody to post! As no one posted on it, I built up ideas that could go into it and then when you showed an interest I thought you'd bring your group of writing buddies over to finish it! As for transfering it, yeah I did because like I said I have some ideas and Enos/Daisy pairing doesn't fit into it! So I moved it! For god sake, take the round robin and do what you like with it just because there's two with the same title doesn't mean its the same story! Ask the mods to delete my post in the round robin thread if you want I don't give a damn! Daney asked everyone to do with it what they will and that's what i'm doing. If you don't like it, don't read what i'm writing and get on with your own ideas! But don't slag me off in a *****y behind my back way in the threads about it just because I did the right thing!

Just because I don't want to post on it anymore doesn't mean that other people won't! To be honest, I don't want to do a Daisy/Enos pairing which is why i'm pulling out and with a round robin that's fine for writers to come and go. That's what its about! Anyone can contribute or not contribute as they choose!
