The original DeLoreans were manufactured in Northern Ireland, and only about 9,000 were made before the company went bankrupt. The company that now owns the name is the DeLorean Motor Company in Humble, TX. They acquired the remaining parts inventory and now supply parts and do restorations. Back in 2022, they announced a new electric car called the Alpha5, which is also designed by Italdesign Giugiaro, and shares some styling cues with the original DMC-12. It doesn't seem to have made it into production yet. A British company called Electrogenic produce an EV conversion kit for the DMC-12 which offers 150 miles of range and a 0-60 time of under 5 seconds. Back to the game: Rough
