I invested $10 in a single share of stock in the Moonshine 400 back in the 90s and it's now worth 17 cents so that supercar investor is doing better than me. I wonder if he'll be racing it in the Moonshine 400. I'm entering my dirt bike. I hope roll bars aren't required.
I am glad that the money is going for a good cause otherwise it'd be a sin to pay that much...even for Rick Hendrick. Though it is a pretty car. I am happy for him. Just wish he would give me a small slice of that money. LOL.
I figured a lot of people can't retire because of things they have/have not done, life circumstances etc. I personally am a proud retiree , my life long dream, since I was 56. I turn 58 in 4 months.

His last listed acting credit was 'Salvage Yard Shine Boys' in 2021. It was directed by Christopher Hensel AKA. Jeb Stuart Duke.
At least the money's going to a good cause.
BTW. The McLaren F1 supercar had a price tag of around $1m when it was on sale in the '90s - they now fetch over $20m, so the Corvette may not be a bad long-term investment.
